From Belgium.We love this store. We stop here almost every time we visit Las Vegas.I am a huge nerd and really enjoy all the things they have here. So many options and choices. The staff is very friendly and helpful except the checkout guy once, he was not personable or friendly at all but I get that some people are not as social as others.My husband loves statues and board games and this place carries a lot of both. Grabbed some exit games today. I enjoy them as well but also very much into dungeons and dragons, Pokemon and magic the gathering. I grabbed 7 packs of Pokemon shinning fates packs. Wish me luck.

Aaron greeted me politely and promptly took my temperature. Store wasnt too crowded but nice Saturday flow. Inventory is immense and any comic or role playing enthusiast would appreciate it. They have a video game selection thats out of this world for all systems. Pay them a visit you wont regret it!

I was only here for a short time but liked the place as soon as I walked in. For all the people that are into, video games, bored games, funko pops, ect, I recommend you check this place out. Staff were friendly and helpful, so I will definitely be coming back again.

Zero Communication between the Staff.By far the worst place I’ve had to deal with when it comes to trade/selling games. I went in one day with two games looking to maybe get an even exchange for one that they had listed on their website. I go in and the guys their were willing to make the trade however both parties agreed that a receipt wasn’t necessary. I get home put the game into my psp, and it doesn’t work! I get concerned because I didn’t get a receipt. I call them back and ask for the manager and he agreed to give me the 2 games I traded back. I show up the next day with the Brocken game and explain to the person in the front desk the situation. He gets the manager and he was clearly not the person I spoke to the previous day. He had no idea what I was talking about even after I clearly explained to him what happened and what I was told. He insisted that the only 2 options I had was either I get store credit or to buy the game back cheaper than what they had listed on their website. I finally gave in and took the store credit and went back to look for my game on their shelf to buy it back, but not before having an employee that was their the day before when I talked to a “manager” explain the same thing I did to him. The manager got angry knowing that he was clearly in the wrong. He takes the store credit back and hands me my games back and told me that I am no longer allowed to trade with them. In conclusion don’t let them push you around when it comes to numbers and options, and if they tell you a receipt is not necessary get one anyways.

My experience here is always bad especially on the magic side and is always the same guy. Every time I ask for help, it seems like an inconvenience. The last straw was when I rushed there from work and got there at 6:35pm to get a 4 or buy anything in the cases. I’d understand if they were swamped but all he did was twirl his keys and walk around and say they stop pulling at 6:30pm. Maybe you should change the store hours if you’re workers don’t want to work. I’m not going to mention the guys name but you’ll probably find out for yourselves when you experience it yourself.

I am very glad to have a local store near my house that has both table-top games and video games. They also have places to play table-top games in store. Like the TARDIS, it seems bigger on the inside with a lot more selection than you might expect when you drive up. Theyve got all the games youd expect a specialty store to have, even some of the rather rare stuff.The staff are friendly and usually have time to chit chat with you about games. They also know what they are talking about and can give you good advice if you need it. Theyll greet you and offer to help, but will leave you alone if you just want to browse too. You dont have to be a regular to get good service and attention from them either. If you are thinking of going there more than once though, it is wise to join as a member. All you need to access your points is your phone number. You can accumulate points for trading games in which you can use for discounts on purchases later. Your points dont expire either. They understand that the whole point of going into an actual store for games is to get a good customer service experience.

I’ve been coming to this location for a couple months ever since wanting to help my stepson get into the Pokémon TCG craze. These guys are very knowledgeable and very helpful. I visit weekly now and have always had a great experience.

I was thinking about going to this store to look at getting a game for my PS4, I havent been there yet, Im not quite ready to purchase games for my PS4, I should be in a couple weeks, it looks like it will be easy to get to on the bus, I have to always take the bus because of medication I take, so I like to throw how easy, or hard, to take the bus to a business, I always put that into my reviews also, I will be going to this store, it looks like they have a great selection of games, I cant wait to go.

Rude employees! As a huge collector, I’ve never been treated like a criminal till I came into this place. The guy wouldn’t even let me hold the Pokémon leaf version to check out the authenticity and condition of it. Same thing happened with a card I wanted to purchase. If anyone is looking for a great used game shop, go to Retro City Games! They treat me soooo well there and are soooo nice!

Great and helpful staff. I was looking for NES games and they had a good collection of cartridges and complete games. The prices were fair both for common games and for the rarer stuff that was also for sale. They knew exactly what games they had in stock. Thats sadly not always the case for retro video game stores…

Its difficult to describe this place. There are so many games both electronic and role playing that is difficult to take it all in. There are games in every format. From card games to all types of video games. the only problem I had was that I wanted to spend every penny that I owned. I highly recommend this place for all types of games. They even had many retro games and game consoles. If youre looking for any type of game check here first. The people were friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. You couldnt ask for more.

Been going to wii play sense I was 14 and have always loved the store and even now i make it a point to go when I return home for vacations

The store has every type of hobby D&D RPG equipment i have ever see, plus they have an isle for every game system ever made US or Foreign design. I mean Coleecovision, Atari, Sega Genisis, all PLaystation, Nintendo, Xbox, and some ive never heard of plus a sh#&load of pewter figurines for so many types plus gundam, all anime and elaborate models and games. The two guys that run the electonics and games are super knowledgeful and very helpful. The guy that ran the front register, well he was not only rude but arrogant lazy and the opposite of helpful or coherent, an as#&ole for no apparent reason(definitely hasnt had a gf in a while, or ever).

Basically, this place is the Barnes and Noble of games! Video games, board games, paper games, you name it and they have it. It is usually pricier than anywhere else, but 90% of the time they will have what your looking for. Definitely worth Che king out!

I loved it here the people are AMAZING help a lot and they have things for me to look and and read there would love to go back at some point considering this is the 2nd comic book store I have ever been to in my entire life. Love it here.

I am from orange county California visiting a friend and I decided to stop by this video game store. I had read the reviews before I went in but using no bias I wanted to see how the customer service was. The Man at the video game counter could care less if I was there or not. I’m an avid collector of gameboy advance games, and they had a decent collection. I browsed all of the Nintendo item that they had and I was finished fairly quickly. I browsed around the store a little while longer and I found a HDMI Gameboy advance player. When I got to the register to make my purchase of the Retron Gameboy player and games, the cashier was busy talking to the other guy that was sitting at the register as well. After a minute of me standing there unnoticed, he finally checked the purchases. The morale, or lack of good customer service is what I experienced. The store has potential, but with different associates. I come from a customer service background, so I know a good customer service is, and in my opinion, it’s not here. So I’ll go back to Southern California with my purchases, but I don’t think this will be a destination that I will come to again. Good luck in the future with this place, maybe the West store would be better, I don’t know

Do NOT buy pokémon cards from here, resealed packs. spent over 180$ to open my tins and all the packs were tampered with and had glue on the ends of the packs. ive collected these cards since i was a kid and i have NEVER gotten resealed packs but today that changed because of this store!! very disappointing to find cards while no other stores have them in stock, only to get resealed packs. waste of my time and money.

Worst customer service ever. I just left from buying a game for my nintendo and I had to keep getting the attention of the guy behind the register because he was watching a movie and talking about it with another employee behind the counter. I had to get his attention on separate accounts until I got fed up and tried to go to another employee. Those were the only 2 behind the register so I let him ring me up and even after he rung me up, I was still standing there because they were still laughing and talking yet had NOT handed me my purchased item. I wont say this place is bad because the games are awesome but the employees that handled my purchase should not be handling anyones purchases

After visiting the store in person Im now convinced most negative responses are from people trying to sell stolen stuff or junk they found in storage lockers. My first impression was great, the guy working the MTG counter approached me first asking if he could help. Proceeded to BS with me about topics Im sure he has heard 1000s of times yet still remained friendly and vastly informative. After about 15 minutes of talking I decided on two Windswept Heath. The selection was insane... not just singles sealed also. The prices were in the top end range for singles I viewed, nothing obscene tho. I was also willing to pay this minor extra for the experience and opportunity to help support such a neat LGS. Keep up the good work!

They have a great variety of items. If youre looking for card games, board games, video games, RPG games, or any of the accessories to go along with these, Wii Play probably has it. But the best thing about both locations is the courteous and helpful staff.

Probably the biggest and best retro game shop in Nevada. These guys know there stuff to. They buy and sell video games as well as cards, they also trade items as well.They have enough seating for rather large card events. They sell Pokemon tournament cards, Magic the Gathering, board games, videogames from all time periods and the consoles to. Seems family owned with how nice the staff is. I feel like they are trying to help me get what I truly need even if I dont know what it is sometimes. They are very knowledgeable and will give you honest anwsers and if they cant anwser they tell you they dont know instead of lieing. Awesome shop if u like games and toys stop in give it a look you never know what you will find for 30 years ago. And if you need repair pointers theres a guy in the back named Dave (I guess he is their repair tech ) really knows his stuff to if u need help.

I come here often. Ive only had good interactions with the employees, who from what Ive seen are personable and talkative. I love board games and card games, and Im ecstatic to purchase those things while also supporting a local store. Its definitely worth checking out!

I went in there with my nephew looking for games for Nintendo 64 and a power cord. The gentleman behind the counter was gracious and very helpful and also saved me some money. I will be back.

Ordered less than 10 MTG cards and the 2 cards that cost the most were both from the wrong set and one was Heavily played and the other was Moderately played. Both were supposed to be near mint and what a coincidence the copies i received are worth even less because of the set theyre from. Never coming here again. Oh and a lot of their stuff is overpriced, I wanted to buy certain sealed product while I was there but everything is way above msrp, please keep up to date. They dont negotiate price at all so 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I love this place, anyone who says other wise, they are simply being dramatic. Ive spent tons of money here building up my gaming hobby, and it has been worth it 100%. The staff are fantastic, the selection is legendary, and the knowledge behind those glass counters is limitless. Theres always a good conversation to be held there. This is hands-down, the greatest retro gaming store in Las Vegas.

Super helpful staff. Lots of card & board games for all budgets. My only complaint is one of the workers, who helped us endlessly, was wearing a politically motivated message mask, which gave me the message that they were unsafe outside of work, which made me wary of being near them.

BEWARE. Shop is guilty of cancelling orders and then jacking items up 50-150% if they find out their prices were good.

I bought an Xbox 360 from here for 199+ tax.They opened it up for me at the store. It appeared to be in mint condition. I brought it home and it froze within the first half hour of playing it. It’ll continue to freeze periodicity. If you’re a gamer you know how absolutely annoying that is. Especially if your progress hasn’t saved. I lost a lot of progress due to it freezing. I called to say it was faulty. They said to bring it in and they will check to see if it’s their issue or not. If it was they’d offer me in store credit. Here’s the best part though. They don’t have anymore Xbox consoles so getting in store credit would be absolutely worthless. I would love a refund so I can take my money elsewhere and get a working Xbox that doesn’t keep freezing. Now I’m out 200 dollars and stuck with a faulty system. It would be cool if you guys mentioned when purchasing an item you don’t offer refunds. You buy secondhand so you’re bound to accept broken items. That shouldn’t be the customers fault and should be mentioned upon checkout. It’s my fault as well for not asking but I wasn’t thinking at the time. Other than this issue I’ve had the store itself is great and the people who helped me were very kind an wonderful. I’m just disgruntled I’m out 200 dollars due to a faulty system.

Very cool store. Has board games, cards. Video games and systems. Staff was amazing. Super knowledgeable. I had my 2 children with me, they were in heaven. They had really cool collectibles, you could definitely spend some time checking out everything they had. If you havent gone already, you need to make the trip! Well worth it!

This place is awesome because it has games i never thought id be able to get my hands on because of their age. The employees are also very helpful and knowledgable about the specifics of the games that they sell. I was greeted by all the employees at the store, and Ive only been there one other time. Everything is very organized too. Its also a good place to buy polyhedral dice for table top games.
