Have been living across the street from this Thrifty ice cream shop for 6mons. Pass it 3 or more times a day. Today this scoop of cure all moods, cotton candy ice cream having on the regular, placed back in the corner has just saved this Baby... So many flavors and stuff, only missing peanut butter milkshakes... Check it out...

Small family run business. Family runs the ice cream shop and the attached barbershop. Always a pleasure to stop here and support the small, locally owned and family operated business. Theres been occasions where I had special orders for whole ice cream drums for special events and they were able to accommodate my needs.

Thrifty was an alright experience. Its in a very sketchy building, part of an apartment building somehow. Anyway, I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Poor customer service... Long story short, dont waste the gas if you live far from here.

Cool little place, Unfortunately its not dine in but thats fine cause theres a table and 2 chairs right outside the door where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. The gentleman who tended to me and my 2 friends was nice and really quick in serving us which is always awesome, especially because its 113° outside and needed something cold to cool me off. Would recommend people stop by if you happen to be in the neighborhood!

I love this place the ice cream is great. Fun place to take the kids and get them s triple dip cone. Warning they will make a mess but the will love doing it and the will remember it. I remember my grandpa taking me to Thrifty ice cream and getting me a triple dip cone. I was little but still remember it like it was yesterday. I was a mess ice cream running all over me some got on the seats of the car. I told my grandpa I was sorry and I would just throw it away. He was laughing and he told me no dont worry about making a mess. He bought it for me and he is the boss so no one can get mad at me for the mess. Really you should take your kids and give them a happy memory that will last forever.

Amazing place to go. They have a lot of patience if youre picky and will help you throughout the way if you need help in choosing. Their ice cream is delicious. Would go again! They also offer a card and will eventually get you a free scoop. Its great! Amazing. Extremely recommend!

Good variety and they have a card where they punch a hole every time you visit, then when you fill up the card you get a free single scoop. However, it is a small place and if you want to eat it there, you need to sit at the table outside.

I have lived in this area of Vegas for 18 and passed this place at least 1000 times but never saw it! My friend took me there for a scoop, and I loved the mom and pop friendliness of the place! I had raspberry sorbet, Kay had a root beer float (they gave her the remainder of the bottle of root beer to drink) and Mark had mint chocolate chip, ALL were delicious!

After leaving Record City,I headed East on Charleston when I sawa sign for Thrifty Ice Cream(I hadnt had Official Thrifty Ice Cream since Thrifty Drug on Vegas Drive & Decatur Blvd closed Years ago!) I stopped in-Having been a Food & Bev Director in Old Vegas the first thing I look for is the cleanliness of the establishment-It was VERY CLEAN & NEAT! The wait staff was very friendly abd took every step to make My first visit a memorable one! The prices were very reasonable & how Iremembered the Trademark-Thrifty Scoop! I told My Mother about Thrifty Ice Cream & where it was located,so She told Me the next time I go to Record City,stop & get Her a Waffle Cone! Thanks again!-Brent the Gent

Every time I go for a milkshake they don’t have milk and this have been on two visits 🥛 🥛. After the two visits without milk, I come today to get my REGULAR MILKSHAKE now they don’t do my ice cream as a shake (butter praline) I guess I’m gonna have to find another place to get my ice cream.
