We visited today to purchase a trumpet for our granddaughter who starts band this fall. We were not hurried and were able to select from a variety of instruments. We were treated professionally and cordially. It was a very positive experience and we left with a quality instrument for her to start.

Rettig Music’s business model is incredibly lacking. Unless you are fond of interacting with a man with a poor attitude and silently being charged for things that are unneeded with repairs, I would avoid this music store. I have given them quite a bit of business with my children’s instruments in the past. Going forward I will be doing my business elsewhere. I would not recommend this store.

Love this place! Very professional and was able to take my sons saxophone there and was able to fix it for him! I will ALWAYS shop there for all my band needs!

I would NOT recommend Retting music. Avoid this store if you want to be treated like a human being!! I drove 40 minutes to purchase a trumpet for my daughter and almost entered the store with my children. We were following the government mandated mask requirement, but because my littlest children weren’t wearing masks we weren’t greeted but instead told he did not need more than one of us us in his store and could refuse service to anyone he wanted. There would have been a more polite way to let me know he was uncomfortable...Glad I did not spend my money patronizing a business who treats customers in such a rude manner!Go elsewhere! Retting is not the only music store around!

I am very thankful for our local Rettig Music here in Lima. Their rent-to-own plans and instrument repair services are flexible and dependable. For a relatively small store, they carry a wide variety of essential merchandise. Most importantly, their customer service is awesome! For example, I had a small instrument repair issue, and the manager fixed it on the spot rather than sending it to their off-site repairman. Every time Ive been there, theyve always been friendly and accommodating. Thanks, Rettig!

Worst experience Ive ever had in a business period. Went in on a dead Tuesday afternoon shopping for an acoustic guitar and 1/4 way through playing a Tom Petty tune on the first guitar I played there the owner interrupted me and said Ive been playing guitar for blah blah amount of years and you just came to jam not buy a guitar so please put down the guitar and leave. My girlfriend was with me who has done business there for years servicing her two kids flutes with him. We were both offended and shocked. Needless to say I wont be purchasing my next guitar there and shell NEVER bring her business back to Retigg music. Terrible, rude, insulting and over priced.

I believe this was the best customer service I have ever received. Went in to get my guitar string replaced and it was done in no time, he even showed me how to do it!

I came by because I had a ukulele string that kept popping out. The worker here was wonderful and secured the string back on from both ends. He was very kind throughout the exchange. A+

I drive from Greenville to Lima to get better deals than the internet at Rettig. Great service and super nice KNOWLEDGEABLE people.

If you are forced to go here for school musical instruments, prepare to get scammed and ripped off. I was told I could exchange a USED kid that was rent to own once the set was paid. Nope. $400+ down the damn toilet.
