Fresh produce is limited but sufficient for preparing most dishes. Carries a very impressive array of dried goods, and spices. Have yet to be disappointed with the hot food here. My partner and I regularly treat ourselves to their Samosas. Glad to have such a wonderful, local gem in the neighborhood.
Super authentic, fresh, all veg buffet. Lots of love and soul in the food. Clean, crisp healthy flavors, nothing too oily or heavy. You can get a feast for $10.95 combo plus an expansive Indian market to shop in and a cafe seating area. A true gem.
Great place. Good food at reasonable rates. Has an Indian store with ALL kinds of stuff from India. Really awesome!Great staff as well.Plenty of seating! Free WiFi. One can even work here. Good vibe! Plenty of Parking available.
I ordered takeout via Uber eats to a place called Vegan Seeds of India. However, its actually this place (same address). Not sure why the mixed advertising but wish I knew this so I could have read the reviews on this place since vegan seeds of India doesnt exist on Gmaps.Food was pretty good. Entree curry portions were surprisingly large. Naan tasted well made & fresh. However, the rice portions are kids size. Not sufficient to go with meal & not good value. Also restaurant forgot utensils even though I marked the option & added it in the notes. If youre in a hotel this is an issue. 50/50 about recommending this place.
Simple place with flavor full dishes. All the items are reasonably priced. I always go here whenever I am in LA
My husband picked Mithai from samosa house today, which is really really bad . It taste like synthetic Mithai . Please don’t buy any Mithai from them .worst one
A friend recommended this place and after trying their food I can recommend it as well. Its one of the best places to get vegetarian food in the area. The food is simple (that is a compliment), very tasty and the price is reasonable.
Amazing food. Great quality.. great authentic taste.. so much variety of indian food. Great customer service. Very nice place. Everyone should visit. Thanks i definitely recommend it.
Had an amazing experience at the Restaurant.Vinay Jain and The Entire Jain Family hosted us very well. I would highly recommend this place.Don’t forget to try their freshly made Delicious Paan.Thank You Jain’s.
Best takeout joint on the west side when looking for healthy & reasonably priced Indian food. This is my go-to for stocking up on PG Tips & spices. And the furniture might be worth looking over...a cot or stool for 29.00. Sure. Beats IKEA trek
Great authentic Indian food and grocery store! Love the samosas here and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
I was voting this area, stopped by to get lunch. Was very disappointed.I orderedidli - which seemed not fresh because the edges were harder.Chapathi and malai kofta- it was packed well, but to my surprise it was the ready to cook fulkas you get from the indian store. And since I got these home, they were really bad.I could easily identify them as I have been eating them for years but didn’t expect the restaurant to serve !!The curry was good.Probably I should have got the naan which were made there. But still, really didn’t expect this !
The foods taste good. The price wasnt that bad.
Pani puri is an excellent.... puri is home made..... but stuffing masala in puri is nothing but channa masala gravy.... and please dont try biryani..... Hyderabadi biryani is a disaster...... just all type of boiled grains in the rice with few chopped veggies......
Bhel was exceptional, rest of the chats were okay. Recommend.
I love shopping and dining out!! At the samosa house...everything is super freshVery are so friendly.Yes you can bring your familyWear your facemask and glovesThe food is so freaking yummyYes i will be back!!💋💋😂💋Thanks samosa house for treating me like a family member 💋💋💋You can eat there outside..And enjoy the view..💋💜🍰🌈🎼
Delicious & reasonably priced vegetarian food. Stock up on Indian ingredients while youre there. Its a buffet line with servers and picnic style tables inside, smaller tables on the sidewalk. Basic but a good place to eat. Try the dosa with coconut chutney!
7/1/2021: First time here. Oh, my God!!! Deliciousness on top of deliciousness!!! Also, be sure to check out the grocery store items. Will definitely return again and again!
This place is legit. How do I know? No sooner had I sat down with my food than a bus full of Indian tourists rolled up and unloaded – and they looked happy to be there. So was I.I’ve eaten at this Samosa House twice now and it was excellent each time. The combo plates I got let me try a few of their delicious and varied offerings, but the jackfruit and tofu curry really stood out.You can’t eat at Samosa House without ordering a samosa. They’re nice, dense little things made to order. But the pakora also caught my eye, so I ordered the combo – that’ll be the go-to from now on.The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Everyone is smiling and seems happy you’re there. samosa House isn’t super cheap, but portions are generous, everything is delicious, and the atmosphere feels like a quick trip out of LA. I will most definitely go back.
Quality is not good. Who puts tomato in vada pav!!! If you call it chapati, it should be made up of whole wheat flour and not refined flour.
I usually don’t ever make reviews but this please really deserves it. So dang good!! Also very kind workers.
Love the fresh made Samosas that come with 2 sauces. yummy. A nuce buffet tyoe counter of warm cooked Indian dishes to go or eat their. good selection of British and Indian products. Huge freezer space well stocked with everything one might need to add to the table for a great Indian meal.
I wasn’t writing the review in first place but then thought others should not suffer in ordering online like me. I ordered wadapav, harabhara kabab and hydrebadi biryani from Samosa House through uber eats and not to mention it was most bizarre experience ever. Firstly, the $10 wadapav was so cold and without garlic chutney. How can one call it wadapav without garlic chutney and eat it. Secondly, we only got one harabhara kabob for freaking $6. Me and my husband were confused who gonna eat it. And it was so dry and came without chutney or any other dip on side. Lastly, the hydrebadi biryani cost $18 and came in such small container and also not taste worthy. Thank god we had uber eat coupon otherwise me and my husband wouldn’t be able to digest the food we ate, not to mention half of it is in trash and we are having half empty stomach. Have to order something else now!!! We are regular grocery customer of Samosa House and wanted to try their food but everything in vain and very very disappointing.
I ordered from Vegan Seeds of India and it turns out to be this place. No way to show that online, had to look up the address. The portions were tiny, like ridiculously tiny for the amount they charge. $50 to basically feed two people. Avoid ordering this through uber eats or anywhere else.
Ambience: surrounding is good, parking area is there outside, nicely organized chairs/sofasHygiene: goodTaste: excellent for vegetarians/veganQuantity: they provide buffet as well as alakart, many options to choose from menu.Food Presentation: okPrice: $Service: overall service was good.
Dosas were thin and crispy and made fresh to order.
Loved their food selection and all the vegan choices. They make fresh Naan per order which was delightful
Ive been coming here for years and eating the consistently tasty food. The jackfruit is meaty and one of my favorite dishes but I have other favorites too. The naan bread is fresh, hot and a decedent addition to the food. There is a sweet little bakery with Indian pastries too if you want dessert. *Just to note, this is a vegetarian place*This restaurant also has a little grocery store inside and I love to buy spices and goodies from here and some English import stuff too.Its always fun and delicious at The Samosa House!
Best vegetarian Indian food Ive had so far! Cool little market too.
Nice value for money food items. Taste is also good. Grocery is costly.
First time officially eating at a vegan restaurant, the food was awesome, I love Culver city.
Always good...lots of tasting vegan options
Can not believe, The Worst food I ever tested. We ordered few items including Dosa, Chhola Bhatura, Pav Bhaji. All of them had no taste. Dosa was all burnt had no taste except for bitter. Event grocery store it had felt like items sold were not fresh enough. They better up their game and revamp the quality of food if they want to get quality customers. Food was far below quality.
Great tasting, healthy food! Highly recommended!!
Didnt realize they only served vegetarian/ vegan food but I was not disappointed whatsoever. The food is authentic, fresh tasting and full of flavour. The naan is made to order, they offer basil infused water which really impressed me. Prices are fair and the staff is very friendly, they let me try a few samples of different dishes before I purchased. Highly recommend the samosa chaat
Oh, this place is a wonder cafeteria serve- style Indian place. We went for lunch and they gifted me some extra Naan. I had food leftover for dinner from a two item combo. Plus, their hot chai tea must be house blend. Its uniquely wonderful also with sugar in the raw. Their plum and green sauces are wonderful with the pea patty dessert that they served.Theres also a nice novelty shop area with pretty boxes and things. They also have a small market area, which we didnt look at. Highly recommend it for lunch or a late lunch, early dinner!
Favorite one out of the 5 Samosa Houses in Los Angeles. This one has a full grocery store and it’s where I come to get all my Nepali/Indian spices to cook with. Rice and produce are available here. Each samosa house has its own unique ways of flavoring and spicing up their food. This one adds lots of flavor and spices! .Vegetarian and Vegan options only.Their jackfruit looks and feels like chicken, a little more tangy in flavor. They change up their curries but the most popular are always available - the saag and the daal.Ask for a sample if you’re unsure. But best to just go with what catches your eye. Get a combination plate that comes with 3 choices and rice and naan. Ask for the garlic naan, it’s heavenly and doughy. For dessert, they have rice balls in a sweet clear soup. They also have mango lassis, which is like a super thick mango milkshake. Sometimes they have date shakes too.Credit card and cash payment accepted. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Good for families, they have a large table in the center of their restaurant.
Food was very good. They are VERY disorganized for phone in and take out orders and youll probably have to repeat your order in person and wait for them to make it after you get there. Tasty. Not fast.
Best samosas! I personally do not like them too spicy and theres are perfect. They also have great combo plates
Love this place. Vegetarian cuisine. Very tasty and pretty cheap with large amount a food! Also attached to a market with cool product form India. Recommend this place, I go pretty often there.
The Garlic Naan was so bad, the servers so unfriendly face, no return to this place.
Best indian food I have had
Great food and selection of grocery items, and spiritual supplies.
Tasty vegetarian dishes. Gulab jamun could be better.
They require masks ...Now they are on our BOYCOTT list .. sad to see fear and ignorance at one of my old favorites. Sad day
Amazing little store with a hot food station. Amazing spice collection plenty of rices and beans. If you are in the area I definitely recommend.
Vegan/vegetarians paradise: delicious and affordable Indian food. Limited parking lot.If youre ordering a combo plate - first they need to know if its to go or dine in (so they can pick the appropriate container), then what kind of rice (white or brown), type of bread, then pick your entrées from the bar, and lastly choose vegan soup or yogurt sauce.
I visited this place after a year or more. Earlier I lived close by and I went here often. I was a huge fan. But yesterdays visit changed my opinion. The food didnt taste as good as it used to.
I only go for the daily puri and behl puri and it always hits the spot!
Great Indian restaurant. They have a big grocery collection too.
Nice food.
They have an excellent selection of food ready for takeout.. I love their chana masala. They have indoor seating that isnt being used now because of virus-related restrictions, but there are also outdoor tables for sidewalk dining. They also have a grocery selection of Indian staples and spices and some fresh produce.
Great place for me to get my groceries.
Awesome.. you get everything what an Indian want
Best chola bhatura in town! I also love their vegan soy chicken, jackfruit curry, naan and samosas!
Samosa chaat is really good. Its the Best item to try in this restaurant. Other chaats are well done too. Dosas are made with less oil and healthy.I like their flexibility to mix curries half and half. I asked if I can get half of saag and half chana. They were accommodating.Must recommend for dine in or carryout.
My favorite Indian spot in all of Southern California! Everything is flavorful and healthy at the same time and the price is fair. Its all worth it and I guarantee you will like it too!
I am a regular. Food taste good but the service needs improvement. Manager is inconsiderate towards customer and make them wait unnecessarily long.
Average food, decent prices
They were rude and when asked if this particular dish was spicy they were not telling the true, it was very spicy. A waste of good money:(
I love this place!
Great food - some of the best Indian food I’ve had! Speedy delivery too
Try the paneer. Great shop and great hot food on-site.
This is my comfort food. I love going here to cheer me up. I usually also pick things up at their store.
Every time we go to Samosa House we come out with a much larger bag than we expected, always some good surprises, always plenty of great prices... cannot go wrong... the last discovery was a mango icecream that really makes you scream for more!
Definitely good food. I grave eating here from time to time.
My most favorite indian place ever! Makes delicous vegan food easily accessible and the market is amazing as well. Im always getting my legumes and spices from here.
Love this placeGreat fresh foodWell priced and heartyBeautiful location and marketPlease support them
If you know what’s good for you come here. period. they got that SMOKE IN HERE.
This is incredibly great indian food for great price. Their channa batura are 😋
Fantastic selection of all things exotic and ready to eat food that is out of this world. Dine outside or take home. A true all purpose well managed local store. Yes I love it
Delicious food options available for vegetarians.
Superb food, great service
Very nice Indian-oriented grocery and prepared foods establishment.Lots of groceries for those who cook, use and enjoy Indian products.Self serve counter allows you to order a variety of prepared vegetarian dishes - appetizers, combo-plates, drinks. Theres a comfortable, no frills dining area to eat in or you can order things to go. Reasonable prices too.
Visited Sat afternoon. The service here is better than most. The place has a cool feel to it. Not close to my job, I wish it was.
We always love the food. We can get harder to find snacks and sweets and everyone is nice
Super friendly staff. Always willing to help. Food is delicious 🥰
Arrived at five, it wasnt busy. Next time Ill be back with my friends. The place has a cool atmosphere.
I had a delicious meal. Couldnt really ask for more. My dinner was prepared quickly by the friendly staff and experienced cooks. The Samosa House is definitely calling me back.
I always come to this Samosa House for my English tea and other chocolaty treats.
Delicious.
Been there several times only to continue to return for there delicious hot spicy food. A MUST FOR ALL . THANK YOU ALL👍👍👍
