Super cool shop. A lot of items to look at. Take your time because you will miss some really cool stuff. Theres a lot of taxidermy animals hanging out, knives, books.If youve ever seen the show Oddities, this guy rivals them and I think he tops them in many aspects.He needs to do a TV show. He works with you in price and explains the history of each item to the best he knows about it.

Owner seemed completely uninterested in actually selling anything. I asked the price of multiple items only to be ignored as he was at the counter on his phone. There were prices on almost nothing so I picked up one of the only items that had a price listed for it and he charged me $7 more than it said (which it was a cheap item to that was making it much more than it was). Its a really cool place, wouldnt go back there alone or maybe at all just because of the lack of overall care about even running a business from the owner. Really upsetting.

If you like the bizarre, obscure and strange, there is no better place than Memento Mori. Just shopped there today with my fiances parents, they got some cool stuff, I got some cool stuff. If you are looking to by an oddity for a friend, family, or for your personal collection, this is the place to go! They have a great selection and theyre constantly getting in new stock. The owner is a very interesting guy, you could stay in there all day and listen to his fascinating stories! I was pleasantly surprised of how much he knew about the times in his store - down to where they were from and where and when he acquired them! If you are in the area or need an awesome place to check out, this is it! Since they occasionally go to shows, make sure you call ahead to see if theyll be open.

Bummed, drove an hour to visit. Listed they closed at 6pm arrived at 5 to find it closed. ☹

Very cool selection of items, and as others have said, the owner is super chill and genuine. So much history, mystery and creepy stuff in store.Cant say I know of another oddities shop in the area. I could see myself picking up a few things if they strike my fancy just right.However, the heavy smell of, what I assume is formaldehyde or some other chemical, was very strong. Thats a given with this type of merchandise.I am pretty sensitive to smells, and while it was bearable in store, that chemical smell did come home with me on my clothes. Nothing a wash couldnt handle, but not pleasant until then.This is just my experience, but be careful if you and yours are sensitive to heavy scents as well. You learn something new everyday.This by no means makes my trip to Momento Mori any worse, but Ill have to take some precaution when I come back.

They have a very unique selection that you have to see to believe. However I suspect some of the items arent authentic. Not to say anything isnt as advertised, its just I dont know how they are able to offer such selection without some possible counterfeit items sneaking in. Everyone Ive met there have been great people and they can find the perfect item for the odd one in your family.

Literally the coolest shop Ive ever been in.

The pictures that i was able to find online of this shop did not do it justice. It was a little difficult for me to find, because i am not from the area, but it was well worth hunting for. Memento Mori is overflowing with interesting and odd items of all sizes, shapes, and ages. I was blown away by the variety of animal skulls, wet specimens, vintage taxidermy, and framed animals [insects, arachnids, reptiles, etc] they had to offer. The shop owner was pleasant, friendly, and offered to help me narrow down what i was looking for.While there were many different types of animal related oddities available, these maybe made up 50% or less of what the store had to offer. It is definitely worth visiting.

BUYER BEWARE! The owner tried to sell me a photocopy of a 1941 certificate, claiming it was original. It was an obvious copy because the back of the paper was bright white but the front was yellow. When I showed him it was a photocopy, he cursed me and attacked my intelligence. Do your homework before you buy anything here.

I was very disappointed in the owner. I brought SEVERAL items down to the store to consign in the shop. After nearly a year of being fed empty promises however I came to find the owner was looking to just keep me on the runaround and make various excuses as to why he couldnt pay me.Ive found out this issue did not just befall myself but others I know so if you are looking to consign here, you will never see your items or the money they are worth ever again.Horrible business ethics....

It was ok. The owner was too barter-y for my taste. Very few things had price tags, which I dont care for. And most items were quite overpriced. The woman who was there with the owner (perhaps she is the co-owner) was rude and nasty. I wouldnt buy anything from there because of her alone. She was extremely rude to my boyfriend. I didnt hear it, but I wish I had. Wont be going back.
