I brought two bikes in for a tune-up. The service is poor and the employees are unfriendly. Im not sure what they did for each $85 tune up because both bikes were still dirty and still made a rubbing noise when riding. They did charge extra to change a brake pad however. Not sure what that expensive tune up gets you. Next year Ill go elsewhere.

On a busy Friday afternoon I took my flat bike tire to Montgomery Cyclery. I expected to drop it off and pick it up later. Instead, they examined the flat and changed the tube immediately. $13 for a new tube, $10 for labor. The next day the same tire blew again. They fixed it again, and my wait time was less than ten minutes. I put the wheel in my trunk and it blew again on the way home. Two of their mechanics studied the problem and found a blemish on the tire that was cutting the tube. With diagnosis and repair, wait time was again less than ten minutes. They only charged me for the new tire I needed. The two extra tubes and two units of labor were free. Many thanks, gentlemen!

I highly recommend this store if youre interested in great customer service. I went to another location and did not have the same level of attention or support.I purchased a used bike (which I love!) and one of the store managers (I think his name was Matt?) was incredibly helpful, and attentive to helping us find a suitable bike and gear at my price point. I will be back – so glad I found this resource!

What a wonderful time we had today on the Loveland Bike Path thanks to Montgomery Cyclery. We rented two perfect bicycles for $15 each and had a delightful afternoon on the path.

MC is a fine resource if you’re in a pinch, but I’d advise shopping online for better prices. The customer service I received on my last visit was unhelpful and pretentious.

I called to ask about replacing my sons broken brake lever, knowing the Beechmont store had a week backlog. He verified he had the part and told me to bring it in. He quickly replaced it and charged me a very reasonable amount. I could not have been happier! Thank you, Loveland MC!

My daughter’s bike had an issue with the derailleur, I stopped down in Loveland and they addressed it on the spot. Great service and kindness! I recommend purchasing your bike there because they stay committed throughout.

Excellent service!! I ordered a new bike online and assembled it myself. Knowing I didnt have the experience or wherewithal beyond the written instructions, I called Montgomery Cyclery Loveland and asked if I could bring it in for them to inspect my work so as to be safe. I spoke to Don on the phone and he was the one to help me when I arrived. Don and his co-worker (whose name I did not get) could not have been more helpful or kind. I am so grateful. So awesome to come across great people.

Good service. I took my sons bike in for a new tube and met them outside. They wiped down the bike and took it in to replace the tube. That service was great. Prices for equipment are a bit high, but I suppose its all high end name brand stuff. Not the fault of Montgomery Cyclery, but parking on the weekend, just to take the bike in to fix a flat was $5. At least that was what I was told. My credit card was charged $5.20 even though they said it was $5 and they refunded $5 in cash to me with my validated ticket.

The people here are so helpfull! We went in to fix a tire and they ended up fixing the breaks as well. Matt was helpfull and nice and went above and beyond, will definitely go back if there are any more problens with any of the bikes we own.

My bike broke down on the trail, used my wife’s bike to ride 3 miles ahead to Loveland. During this time they meet you outside to bring you what you need, The young man came out with my part and told me, this one’s on us... I will definitely continue going here, and sending everyone else I know that rides to this location. Thanks a lot guys. Appreciate the service!

We didn’t actually make a purchase or intend to shop. A bike collision and subsequent fouled up bike brought us to Montgomery Cyclery. The staff was kind enough to diagnose and quickly fix our problem on the spot. We really appreciated how generous they were with their time and knowledge, which helped us get back on our way quickly.

Attempted to acquire a presta valve for my mountain bike. Was told they were out. Probably a lie, considering they would need those to make repairs. Called in and asked again if they had any valves and was met with some pretentiousness, apparently I don’t know if my bike has tubeless tires...This place just wants you to spend an exorbitant amount of money for a simple fix. Amazon for the win.

Excellent staff! Recently I called from the bike trail with a brake issue and Matt said to stop by and he would take a look. Even in this COVID craziness, he took time to come outside and make adjustments to the disc brakes (bike borrowed from a friend). Finished the 26 mile journey thanks to Matt. We Have purchased 2 bikes at Montgomery Cyclery in the past but moved out state (still have the bikes!) We know we can still count on Montgomery Cyclery for excellent care when we visit SWOhio! Thanks again Matt!

Visited to look for some bike accessories and an innertube. Everything was easy to find and tidy. A lot of the bikes on sale are overpriced, but luckily i wasnt shopping for a new ride. The staff was very helpful.

Customer service was great! I came in knowing next to nothing about cycling and Matt was able to really explain every aspect, from frame geometry to materials, in easy to understand terminology. Over several visits he helped me pick a bike to meet my riding needs. Communication was great and Matt gave me the time and attention to make sure I was comfortable with my purchase. I cannot say enough good things about the Loveland location and Matt, I will definitely be a returning customer.

Was told I could rent a bike for the Frogman Tri. I was even emailed all of the terms and conditions, and told to come in the day before for my 24 hour rental. I walk in to rent the bike & am swiftly, and rudely, told NO! Absolutely not... looks like I’m all signed up and checked in for the race tomorrow with no bike. Customer service at its finest ladies & gentlemen.

Shout out to Matt for great customer service. My bike was damaged in route to vacation trip to Ohio and he worked numerous options, including providing a “loaner” wheel, to get me on the trail for 3 days, resulting in very good experience in the area. Nice accessory selection in store as well.

Our group came to Loveland looking to bike along the trail and we had set up renting with a different local rental shop. The plans fell through on their end once we were already in Loveland, so we had to scramble to find bikes. Luckily, Montgomery Cycles was happy to accommodate our group of 20 and got us on the trail in no time. They had answers to all of our questions and we couldnt have had the experience without them.

Very helpful staff. The Assistant Manager helped my wife and I get bikes for the first time. He helped us both find affordable bikes, and all the accessories we needed. After our purchase, he even helped us install the bike rack on my car just to make sure we were all taken care of before leaving.

Great customer service for an unusual request. My Sun Mountain push golf cart had a broken brake cable. I brought in the cable part that Sun mountain sent me which turned out to be wrong. Matthew was up for the challenge and used some bike brake cable and parts and had it working in about 30 minutes. Thanks, Matthew.

Excellent service. I was just going to stop by for a new tire valve cap, but when I hopped on my bike that morning, the rear brake had slipped out somehow. I rode straight to the shop, and even though they dont open until 10 a.m., they told me to come on in when I got there around 9:40. They willingly serviced my bike, free of cost.

Came in with a shift cable problem. Immediately greeted and taken to their repair area. I asked about replacing the cable. They lubricated the cable and it worked perfectly and sent me on my way free of charge. I cant recommend them highly enough. On to DC!!

6/8/2018: I went to Montgomery Cyclery Loveland to order parts. I brought my bike so that they could see the details, part numbers, etc of the parts I needed to order. The conversation went like this:Customer (ME): Hi - can you order some parts for me?Employee (EMP): Yes.Store Manager (MGR): [butting in]: You will have to pay for them all in total up front.ME: Ok, I can do that.MGR: What parts do you need?ME: Drive train parts - chain rings, chain, freewheel sprocket, rear derailleur idler wheels.MGR: How do we know what parts to order?ME: Thats why I brought my bike in - so you could see exactly what I need, and order the correct part numbers.MGR: Have you replaced the chain lately?ME: No - thats why Im here - the drive chain is shot.MGR: [to Employee]: Put his bike on the rack.[Employee puts bike on shop rack to inspect parts.]MGR: Why are you replacing the freewheel [sprocket on rear wheel]?ME: All parts in the drive train are worn out and need to be replaced. But I will need you to remove the freewheel from the rear wheel, as I dont have the proper tool. Ill pay you for that.MGR: Youll have to wait. [points to rack on wall with customer work orders] There are a lot of other customers in here ahead of you.MGR: Whos putting on all these parts?ME: I am. I know what Im doing. You dont need to ask any more questions.MGR: [to Employee]: Take his bike off the rack!MGR: [to me]: Go take your bike to another shop! I can tell you are not going to be a good customer.MGR: [mumbling in background as I left]: I always ask questions! Poor customer service. Trying to secure a rental for my wife and child was like pulling teeth. Their Montgomery location offers a military discount but when I asked about it here I thought o had a third eye. When I asked if they had the same ownership team as Montgomery I couldnt get an answer. When I let them know their other location offered this nothing but silence. Not even acknowledging me. I guess silence is their policy when asked a question they would rather not answer.

The people that work at this location either dont know what they are talking about, or dont care to lie to you. I called in and asked if they had any bike gloves (asked for a specific brand). The man on the phone said he would go look. Upon returning he confirmed that he had the specific brand and size I asked for. I then asked if he had any bibs in stock. He then proceeded to tell me that they do not carry any in store.When I arrived at the location a few minutes later, the employees ignored me from the moment I walked in.I found the gloves, only to discover that they not only didnt carry the brand I asked for, but didnt have the size I asked about either.I continued to search the store. I found myself in their performance bikes room and found and entire display rack full of... You guessed it! Bibs!!I then went to the counter and waited behingb another customer to ask if they had any other gloves. The Customer was new to cycling and asking questions about what would be a good bike for his style of riding. The salesman talking to him began rattling off a bunch of nonsense about wheel ratio and gearing that the man clearly didnt understand. And used this to try and sell man a bicycle priced way higher than anything he was originally asking for. When the man told him it was out of his pricerange the salesman began belittling the customer about how much he knew about bikes, pressuring him into making a bad buy.When I was finally greeted the man spoke with a very condecending tone telling me that the only gloves they had were on the wall, and if I wanted anything else to go somewhere else.TL:DR; dont go here. Very disappointed. Was told a few days ago my bike would be ready today, Saturday, a beautiful day for a bike ride. Came by to pick up my bike and was told it would now be ready Monday. Well, I work Monday. I wish I could help you but were just too busy. I leave broken hearted after really looking forward to a nice ride.
