Working with Paul was great! We built our house, so we started with a dirt backyard, complete clean slate. Paul was great to work with from the consultation through the completion of the project. The honest approach through costs was very much appreciated. We will do more work on our backyard in the future and Paul helped us prioritize which items to include in each phase to save significant money in the long run. In our experience Paul and his great team will be there on time and come in within the budget set. We would recommend Tuition to everyone!

We moved into our new build home May 2020, which came with a walkout basement and dirt backyard that sloped left to right. I worked with Paul in the spring to design our dream resort-style backyard (complete with design video) and he delivered. Work ran June 1-July 31. Included grading for patio & firepit with landscaped retaining wall, composite deck, playground and seeded lawn. Pictures below (lawn was just seeded). Fantastic work, out of a magazine - highest quality, beautiful finishes, value is there for the cost. Paul is terrific to work with, responsive and great suggestions without pushing higher cost. Couldnt be happier, and Ill be working with Paul over the next few years as I add outdoor kitchen and pool & hot tub!

Tuition Landscaping gets our highest recommendation. Owner, Paul was very involved from day one; a creative planner, collaborative problem solver, strong communicator and professional in every way. His team of workers was a pleasure to work with and very respectful of both ours & neighbors property in the process. They completed our backyard drainage issue and beautification project on time and within scope after failed attempts by other companies. Tuition Landscaping is committed to our satisfaction... to which we answer, Were completely satisfied.

Workmanship was fine, but far from exceptional. Service left a lot to be desired. Crew was friendly and hard working. Founder is going to try to up-sell you: original proposal doubled the budget number and scope I provided. Communication is the biggest deficit. A phone call is going to consume at least 35 - 45 minutes of your time, even for a simple question. PM wanted three separate in-person meetings to review original scope, which was extremely simple. Expect three to five days response time from any electronic inquiry, accompanied by an excuse for the delay. Invoices, however, will arrive promptly- within minutes of the crew leaving. NO project punch-out process to review quality, post-plant care, or customer satisfaction. End product was acceptable but overall I wouldnt recommend them to a friend. There are just too many other landscape companies in town to accept mediocre service.

UPDATE 7/19: Paul reached out to me right after I posted this review in April and said they would fix the problems in the walkway and yard as soon as possible. I called several times to follow up and havent heard from him since.Last fall Tuition Lawn removed a concrete sidewalk, installed a new paver walkway, and graded and reseeded my front lawn. I get a lot of compliments on the improvements. However, there is already grass growing between the pavers and a low spot near the front porch where water pools when it rains (see picture). The yard is more level than before but still visibly lumpy. I’ve picked up lots of rocks, pieces of tree stumps, and weeds that shouldve been removed. There are several bare spots in the lawn and one sandy spot where nothing grows. The price was right, but now I have to fix these issues on my own.I was happy with the team’s scheduling, Paul’s responsiveness and recommendations, but I would not use Tuition Lawn again.

Tuition Landscape came to my property to drop and cleanup several trees. They were punctual and began work when they arrived, no down time for setup or planning. Scheduling was a breeze with Paul and every detail of the job was very clear. The tree work was superb and the cleanup was even better. I would definitely use Tuition again and would highly recommend them. It was fantastic to catch them on a rare free weekend right before their busy season.

I would definitely recommend Tuition for your next landscaping job. The work was done quickly and efficiently and the crew always showed up when I was expecting them. Everyone was courteous and cleaned up after themselves (which doesn’t seem to happen too often). There were no unexpected surprises in my bill and Paul was very communicative and reachable. Also, I love the unique landscape design. Definitely not your generic trees and bushes.

Paul and his co-workers were wonderful! Paul was attentive, timely and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend working with this company and I look forward to working with them again.

6/20/19 Follow up...Showed up unannounced after weeks of nothing and said everything was done. Also sent me final bill. The work they did needs redone already. Was told they fixed one of my trees yet nobody even touched it. Everything is a lie!Had Tuition put in a patio, outline concrete with bricks, grade and seed my back yard. I was told the project would take 2-3 weeks, yet the project has still yet to be completed (over 2 months now). I was also told projects were started and finished in the order customers paid their down payment, however there was a 2 week period that Tuition worked roughly 1 full day at my project because they were working elsewhere. Every step of the project, Ive had to request rework because of poor execution. Currently, I still have puddling on my patio and Tuition is trying to remove spray paint from my concrete that they did very early in the project.Overall, I feel insulted in how Tuition has prioritized my project and would never recommend Tuition Lawn and Landscape to anyone.

The crew at Tuition were friendly and professional and did a fantastic job mowing our yard. Theyre in and out before you know it and I dont have to worry about it getting done. Paul runs the show professionally and has a wealth of knowledge regarding all your lawn care, landscaping, and hardscaping needs.

Unfortunately, this company has gone from bad to worse! Paul is a nice guy, but does not honor the contract or keep his word. It took forever for them to show up the first time and Paul had 50% of the estimate as a down payment. Then the plants that died before 1 year were never replaced even though Paul made me multiple promises that he would get on it. I would definitely not use this company!!!

My wife and I have had a great experience with this company. Paul, the owner, personally came out and made everything happen. Hes responded within hours any time that Ive needed anything. Keep up the good work.
