Everything about this business was spot on. We had an issue with our tandem right before a race and even though the shop was starting to get busy, the staff took the time to figure out our issue and get us back on the trails in no time. Nice, knowledgeable, forgiving and very reasonable pricing. The only flaw I saw was the way the TP was on the roll, but thats pretty nominal.

On my first ride while vacationing in the UP last week, my free hub failed. Total bummer. I tried several other repair shops, but they all turned me away without even looking at my bike—too busy, no parts. I was so grateful when Nevin at Quick Stop said: “Bring it in. Let’s see what we can do!” He repaired my broken free hub (and serviced my brakes) in less than an hour—patiently fielding questions from my 9 year old son as he worked—saving me from what would otherwise have been a disastrous UP vacation week with no working bike. I was super impressed with the speed and quality and enthusiasm of the service I received—and super grateful for my time on the trails that Quick Stop made possible. Went in with multiple issues and got them all resolved same day. The techs there are knowledgeable and were great at listening and explaining what they worked on.The labor price was great, but the off the shelf costs for products are mostly non discounted full MSRP. I bought some quality lights from them anyway to support a local business and for doing a great job tending to my bike.

They were able to help me on a walk-in basis during my vacation bike trip in Marquette. Super friendly staff. Blake was awesome and helped get my bike up and running again after a crash (I ripped out my dropper post). He also fixed some other issues I that I was unaware that helped my bike ride better and helped answer a lot questions I had. The repair service and parts were surprisingly affordable. The shop had a solid selection of bike gear, jerseys and parts. Definitely recommend this to anyone needing some bike repair in the area, or anyone who wants to check out a shop with solid selection of riding gear.

A great place to bring your bike! I bought a used bike for my daughter and brought it here for a tune up. I was greeted enthusiastically at the door by the staff, and was able to leave my bike there for service, even though they werent able to get to it for about a week. They ran a very efficient system and notified me when the bike was ready to pick up. There was a hiccup with the tune up, which they fixed immediately and with no additional cost. I would have no hesitations about recommending this place to friends and family.

You can’t go wrong with the staff at Quickstop. They are knowledgeable, friendly and treat you with respect while they help you through any questions about bikes or biking. It’s always great to stop by and just shoot the breeze about new things coming out in biking plus they know a lot about the local trails and give great tips on new places to ride.

Got my hope brakes bled here for my downhill bike. They did the first bleed improperly and left a fair amount of air bubbles in the line, and still charged me. Got them bled again (they made me pay again) and now the back brake is completely destroyed. They recommended that I replace the breaks, that they were not recoverable. I didn’t have any major problems with them at all until I got them bled here. Go to lakeshore bike instead.I own some small businesses and have worked at a bike shop and I wouldn’t imagine charging someone for a improper job done. However staff is friendly but procedures regarding issues like this and similar at this location need to be reassessed, I should not of been charged!In response to the response, Lakeshore bike bled my break that was “recommended to be replaced” by quick stop bike shop with no problems. They did it first try with no recommendations or suggestions to purchase new breaks. They did this a few weeks before first snowfall. The break has no rub at all and has held pressure with no issues for around 3-4 months now.

My wife and I were up in Marquette, visiting our daughter Valentines weekend who attends NMU . I needed a new bike, and down here in Illinois there is still not much of a choice for bicycles. I did a quick search and found Quick Stop Bike Shop and told my wife we need to head there to see if there was anything which would work for me. Much to my surprise they had something that would fit and I liked. I asked plenty of questions and Brian was able to address all of the questions and any concerns I had about the Kona Dew Plus bicycle I purchased. He was not pushy at all easy to converse with and a pleasure to do business with. The tech threw my bike up on the stand and installed some accessories I had purchased and did a final tune up. I was told I receive a free tune up after 30 days which I would not be able to accomplish living in Illinois. I was then told the next time I came back if I had the bike, bring the bike with me and they would honor the tune up, that is great customer service. Brian and the other tech, I am sorry I do not remember his name, working that day were great to work with, I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a bike to stop by Quick Stop Bike Shop and make a purchase. When I am ready to upgrade to the next level mountain bike, I will visit my daughter in order to purchase another bike from them. Great customer service!! THANK YOU!!

This was the 3rd bike purchase I made from quick stop over the years. These guys are great, they were helpful and knowledgeable. Ask for Nevin, he will get you sorted (look for a man with a huge beard that has the swagger of a sailor and a don cherry like voice).Also if you are new to the area, these guys will give you some solid advice on what dirt to ride.They even rent high end bikes.I live in California, and I still buy bikes from them to this day, and rent when I come visit.

Each time I go to the Quick Stop Im impressed by the courtesy and knowledge-based of the staff. They arent pushy and its easy to tell how embedded they are in what they do. Its a great example of a strong community business.

I brought my most prized possession—a 1970s Azuki road bike—in for a chain install and a bottom bracket repair after my chain broke mid-ride. She’d always run a little rickety, but I bought her cheap at a local Chicago bike shop so I figured that’s just how she was gonna be. After five agonizing weeks of longing to bomb Marquette’s hills, the guys at Quick Stop returned her running smoother than ever. Could not be more pleased with the level of service my bike received.

I went in unsure, I hadnt bought a bike in four years. Lucky for me I had a very helpful staff member who I forget his name, but he was very kind and knowledgable. The store ended up having a bike in my perfect size and budget, also my favorite color, blue! They were very quick and reasonably priced for add-ons. I got a kickstand and bottle holder added on for < 30$. Very impressed with my bike, and I felt comfortable shopping there. They provided me with outstanding service and product, honestly. Dont go anywhere else for bikes or bike accesories in Marquette, this place is all you need and more :)

I came into town with friends who were running an ultramarathon on the nearby trails. That left me with a whole day to kill while they were running. I decided to give Quick Stop a call on Friday to see if I could rent a bike the next day. They had exactly what I wanted and set up the rental very professionally and smoothly. I went in there a few years ago because I did a conversion on my bicycle to turn it into a moped and broke the clutch lever, they hooked me up the first time with one that works. And I just went in there this week for a headlight for my motorcycle, the kind that clamps onto the handle bars, they helped me find one that would work and is much brighter than what came on my bike.Long story short, even if its not exactly bicycle related, theyll help you get what you need.

Some of the best bike shop service I have ever gotten.

I came into town from Iron Mountain to bike with friends, had a flat tire with just a few minutes to spare before I had to meet up with my friends. I was on the sidewalk when the store opened and a wonderful young man came right out and helped me get my bike in the store. Another incredible emoloyee helped me select a new tire and replaced my tube and tire in minutes, also making sure my brakes (which had play in them) were tightened correctly. I was unable to leave a tip, as I didn’t have cash on me, but hope to do so next time I’m in town! My friend referred me to this shop because how they have served her in the past and I bragged about it’s service to the ladies I rode with! Exceptional customer service! 😀

I dont let anyone else work on my bikes. They carry solid brands and care more about service than making a sale. They offer rentals and demos. The guys all ride and know their stuff. Shop rides can get pretty sporty and leave from the parking lot Tuesdays at 6:30!
