I was in the UP on vacation and in Marquette for the day when my contact tore. My daughter went to NMU and used Stang Family Eyecare while she lived in Marquette. We went there, explained my predicament and offered to purchase a pair of trial lenses if they could match my prescription. They did! Refused payment. Quickly faxed the release form to my eye doctor back home, matched the prescription, and sent me on my way. WONDERFUL people. Kind, quick, I highly recomemnd them if you need a good eye doctor! They took great care of my daughter too. Thank you!

I was so pleased with the service here. Everyone was very nice and professional. I have a bit of a weird insurance situation, and they worked with me, and put my coverage into place properly. They are a technologically advanced and a very clean facility. I was in and out within an hour and a half, including the paperwork and choosing new frames. Absolutely will go back if I am in need of anything!

The Stang Family Eye Care center provides great eye care for the whole family. Dr. Stang is terrific - she explains things well and asks lots of questions to make sure you get the best care. Their office is a bit cozy but clean and modern. Their frame selections are great too! I highly recommend Stang Family Eye Care!

For 11 years I was a patient of an eye doctor down the street from Dr. Stang who recently retired. So I tried Stang. The appointment went fine and I ordered a new pair of glasses with progressive lenses setup for computer use. I got them and couldnt see a thing, but they told me to give them some time. After a week I gave up and went back. They agreed to set them up as regular use glasses, which is what I wanted in the first place. Right away it seemed nothing had changed, but I stuck it out a week before I went back a third time. This time a different assistant helped and admitted that higher quality lenses were used in my old glasses. I asked if that could be the issue and offered to pay the difference. They are now better, but I dont see anywhere near as well as I do with my older glasses. I did contact them again, but I didnt receive a very friendly response and was told that anymore changes to my lenses would be at my expense. Something like $300 per change. Having had glasses with progressive lenses for over ten years, I cant think of why this process would not have been any more complicated that with my old doctor.Bottom line, with insurance they received about a $1,000 and provided a pair of glasses I keep in a drawer because I can’t see anything. On the bright side, the office is clean.

I just had my first appointment there after moving here from downstate. Its nerve wracking to find new doctors, dentists, etc. after a move, but I think I hit pay dirt with Dr. Stang. She was knowledgeable, thorough, and encourages thoughts and opinions of the client. Additionally, her staff is amazing, friendly and very helpful. I required a lot of input to make some decisions with my insurance, and everyone was patient, helpful and gave me all the information I needed to make a good decision.

Dr Stang is wonderful! She is gentle, kind and does a great eye exam. Her staff is knowledgeable and will help you choose glasses that not only help you see better, but you will look great, too. The range of glasses available go from childrens to womens to mens and are fashionable and up to date in styles.

Ordered contacts from Walgreens with a great discount on May 25 2018, got confirmation of only half of order. They responded that eye provider said RX had expired in March, 2018 can only full 1 box each eye. I called Stangs office they said yes my RX had expired. I said I didnt have exam until May 2017 RX should still be good. She checked and said I was right. However rather than allow my order to be increased she said that my appointment in May would not allow me to order extra contacts. WHAT!!! I should be allowed to order as many as I want. I could lose some, maybe go on a trip. Thats like saying you can only have one pair of glasses. One excuse was my RX might change. And maybe not, thats my choice. Rather than admit mistake and correct the situation, she curtailed my ability to order extra contacts. This Eye clinic needs to re-evaluate how they do business, they just loss another client.
