Wonderful local dairy with homemade ice cream. Lots of flavors to choose from. The butter pecan was perfect.

Very much loved by the locals of Marquette and it did not disappoint. Local foods and fudge in the gift area. A well stocked dairy case. The ice cream is fabulous. We were at the end of a long line during a rush. It didnt take long at all for them to serve us. The have an inside sitting area and a nice area outside with plenty of seating.

Awesome ice cream, great prices. I love how they add fudge to many of the ice cream flavors. There are picnic tables outside to sit, and a cute gift shop along the back wall inside. It looks like they are building a new patio area around the giant cow! 🐮 🐄 🐮

It has been decades since I have actually been to Jilberts actual location, but I cant not think about Jilbert Dairy every time I share a bowl of delicious Moose Tracks ice cream with my family! This ice cream flavor had its humble origins at Jilbert Dairy and was even named after the mini-golf/go-cart place that was next door to the dairy; appropriately named Moose Tracks! I lived in Marquette, and then Republic, MI from 1991-1992 and used to frequent the dairy and go-carts!! I love that you can get this ice cream anywhere across the nation nowadays.

I have always heard of Jilberts ice cream and was happy to finally go there. The was nice staff and there were a lot of flavors. The store sold Michigan made products, which I loved. There are pretty flowers and a huge cow. I would definitely go again.

My kids love this place. Its a must stop for us, not to mention the great ice cream.

The ice cream was soft when served, which is nice but also a pain because it was melting as we got it. Heard this ice cream was amazing, but according to the other reviews they were bought out and sell Deans ice cream. It was good and refreshing, but I was expecting house made ice cream that the older reviews raved about. Disappointed, but still a nice treat

You have to go to this dairy if you are on the U.P. Very friendly staff, interesting place. Good cheap supplies and local canned goods as well as marvelous dreamy ice cream. Huge statue of a cow in the outdoor garden area is humorous, she looks a little nervous. Nice place for kids and grownups alike.

Jilberts was good

If you like mint ice cream and Mackinaw island fudge, this is the best combination of ice cream in the world. Their other flavors are wonderful as well but the mint Mac is to die for. Very good ice cream and a giant (fake) cow outside with seating available

The ice cream was good and the outdoor sitting spot was neat with the big cow and all. The store was cool and sold a lot of local Michigan things, however it looks like the dairy place itself was bought by Deans and now just sells Generic items, no tours or factory viewing area either.

I am writing a 5 star review because I love the U.P. and the ice cream that they offer is awesome. however I cant help but complain that the chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream I bought from pats, has as much cookie dough in it as a politician has common sense.I love you Jilberts. but its 3:47 am, and you are bumming me out.

All things diary. Wonderful and plentiful ice cream choices. Fresh leipajuusto... need I say more! My family met Mr. Jilbert and he was incredibly nice. He gave each of my twin 3 yr old granddaughters a Jilly Cow stuffed animal. They were so excited! The staff was also very pleasant. We had a wonderful visit.

They are clearly another victim of the corporate world. If you like Deans ice cream you’ll be happy. Otherwise don’t bother.

Bought a bucket of amaretto cherry mac fudge haven’t had any since last year about this time. It’s not the same and not as good. Go back to the old recipe. I won’t be buying any more any time soon. Really disappointed

They have amazing ice cream made with their dairy and lots of very cool local food products and gift items. Plus, there is a great photo opportunity with Jilly the giant cow! Great for families or kids at heart.

We absolutely love this place! The ice cream is delicious and creamy, some of the best around!! The kids love the big cow outside in the seating area and the staff is really sweet and friendly.If the weather is crappy, there is additional seating inside. They also have other food and treat items for sale.

I’ve been going to Jilberts for my entire life. I am so very disappointed since Deans took over. They have always had amazing ice cream, why would you change the recipes that have been successful for so long? I loved the white chocolate raspberry. It used to have chocolate chunks with raspberry filling. It was fantastic. Now it has just plain chunks, and the raspberry ripple is different. I won’t waste time going there anymore and won’t recommend others go here either.

Super sad day.Was excited to treat myself and have been thinking all day about Zanzibar chocolate ice cream from Jilberts.got to the store and waited in line and then was absolutely startled and shocked that they dont have Zanzibar chocolate anymore.They told me that it costs more money so they dont have it anymore.I for one am willing to pay more for it. its impossible to find that good of a chocolate ice cream anywhere else.Sad day just got sadder.😥

All products are fresh, local and most importantly delicious. The ice cream is my personal favorite! Great place to visit and see the inner workings of the processing plant.

Dont be worried if you feel like youre pulling into a dairy production plant when you get here. You are! Keep heading around back to find the retail store. The ice cream here is phenomenal. Best Ive ever had. The prices are very reasonable, and they even have a viewing area where you can watch them bottle milk in the production line. Very cool! They also sell other local food and yooper memorabilia.

Some of the best ice-cream Ive ever had. Ive been coming here since I was a kid and still always stop in when Im in town from North Carolina. If its during the week swing in back and you might get to see them running the production line filling milk jugs.

Awesome icecream shop! So many great flavors and options. There also is a small local gift shop for local fudge, jams and syrups. Friendly staff and great prices on icecream. We were told by some locals about this location and they were right! Best icecream in Marquette and most of the Upper peninsula. Kids loved the big cows as well in the outdoor sitting area.

Were from St.Louis and we come up here to go fishing. EVERY TIME we have to stop here and get icecream. This time we stopped twice! The price and the icecream is just awesome!

Ice cream was very good. I got a dark chocolate ice cream and a peanut butter ice cream with PB truffles. They also sell other UP made products. We bought the Trenary toast and Redz sauce and have not been disappointed!

The ice cream was awesome, especially the Blueberry Waffle Cone and the Cherry Amaretto Mackinac Island Fudge Ice Cream. The servings were decent and the price was a great value. We got two doubles and two singles all in waffle cones for $12. The staff was eh, the one girl Ashley seemed friendly but the other girl was not very friendly. We went in about 20 mins before closing time and you could tell it annoyed her. While I understand wanting to get off work and that customers can slow down your closing duty it comes with the job, you shouldnt openly express it to customers or in front of customers. While we were in store other customers pulled up and she made a comment about it, it just made the visit off putting.

Good ice cream but the tour isnt much. You can view the milk processing machines from a window. Dont let that stop you from grabbing a cone and seeing the giant Jilly the cow statue.

We visited Jilberts yesterday. I had the amaretto cherry mackinaw island fudge and my hubby had the berry swirl. Excellent ice cream!! We also bought a block of Colby cheese, the best cheese Ive ever had!!

Worker took a phone call seemed to be a personal phone call making us wait 7 mins then she took a call on her cell phone. The younger girls during the summer make it worth going there seems their cones are filled more then when we went last week
