They kept me updated on the whole process and it was installed at the times I was given. The counter top looks great and they cleaned up everything and hauled away the old one. They look fabulous.

So we ordered our counter tops through Lowes < they came out two weeks later and measured, they called two weeks later to set up a appointment, the week of the install they called and canceled. We had to call them to reschedule, we had to do this 3 times each time we had to make the effort to reschedual . Happy with the counters but not the company

Finally settled on a solid top counter top, after they refused to place the seams on the laminate counter top we wanted where we wanted them and refused to guarantee their work. Just an extra $800. They came and measured for the second time and almost three months after the cabinets were installed, they came and installed the counter top. Just to find out it was not made property and was oversized. Almost a month later they came out to fix the problem only to discover the original installers cracked the face of one of our brand-new cabinets with a screw and then turned our house into their personal factory floor. Shaving the counter top down in our kitchen in February. The windows were all closed and the dust was everywhere in the house and all over the cabinets. They explained they were doing in the kitchen because they did not have any saw horses with them to take it out side. I loaned them mine and told them to take it out side and they were going to clean up the mess. Dust on all the furniture, pots and dishes in the kitchen, all over the throw rug and all suspended in the air just for us to breath and clog our furnace filter and to settle all over our funiture and wood floors. I would never recommend this company for any work on any house anywhere. The photos are attached for my proof of what I said above. I gave them a one star only because I could not give them no stars and post this review.

We love our granite counters. Thank you so much. We experience great communication during the pandemic and the installers were great. They answered all our questions and were very informative. We choose gray wave and it looks amazing. We didnt go to the store to look at the slabs and just went with our gut on what we liked from the samples. So happy we did. Also went with the enhanced seam for an area that would be easily seen and it looks AWESOME!! Totally worth the extra cost. I also appreciate the gentleman that came out to take measurements. He recommended the Shark nose edge and I LOVE it. So glad he told us about it because I had never heard about it before. Everyone that comes over comments on it and how good it looks.

The men that came from kitchen distributors did an amazing job. The countertop Fits perfectly in my kitchen. I love my new granite countertop. They worked with my schedule and they made sure that they could get it in as soon as possible. I am so grateful for all their expertise.

If only there were an option for zero stars. We completed a kitchen cabinet reface with this company. They boasted a three day process with excellent product. Buyer beware. After the initial three days half our kitchen still sported our old cabinetry because the product that was sent was either defective or incorrect in measurements. This proceeded to happen three more times. Product was ordered (and then took months to arrive), and showed up to our house defective. Our kitchen project started in January and was not complete until July. Just this past week one of our false cabinet faces fell off. The representatives for this company were pleasant to work with, but the manufacturing facility they use is worthless. How do you send out product that is defective three times? And why not open the product before sending it to the customer? There were so many times this could have been better handled. When I told them I was unhappy with the product and the timeline of the project, and Id like to have some sort of discount to reflect this they offered a 2% discount. 2% for a seven month delay and multiple defective doors.

My install was a little difficult. These guys stayed on in and sure everything was done exactly right. Test fitted everything multiple times. Trimmed and shaved where needed. The finished product is great. Could not be happier with the product and job they did. Thanks for the wonderful job. I recommend them highly.

Got granite counters installed bt this company through a Lowes purchase. Very pricy install but the staff were fast, accurate and professional. Looks great!

Great experience! The MKD templater and the installers were very knowledgeable and experienced. Overall, it was a very smooth and easy process getting new countertops!

I paid an extra $50 to have a the granite notched around the trim. When the installer came, he notched the trim (poorly at that) which I could have done myself. It took him about a minute to accomplish. They refused to take the charge off my bill. Not happy. I dont recommend them or Home Depot.UPDATE: I received a phone call from MKD on December 26, 2020 - 3 days after posting the above. They agreed to send me a refund. I received the check on January 6, 2021. I appreciate that they recognized the need to refund this amount. However, only 3 stars because I shouldnt have had to fought for it so hard.

Very professional organization. They were prompt with their call after receiving the measurements for my countertop. They had excellent communication and follow up once the countertop was ordered. They removed the old countertop and installed the new countertop. Top notch install from start to finish. They were all willing to offer suggestions that made the install better than what we had originally considered. Great job!! We ended up having a hiccup for lack of awareness/preparedness during our first measurement. The guy who arrived informed us of our unmeasurable circumstance and talked us through the process, gave us some great advice concerning size, layout, stone type, color and edge trends then set us up for another measurement appointment. We were so glad that we were able to talk with someone besides just a sale person. The sales staff was very helpful as well. We went to their facility where they showed us the product prior to delivery and we were so glad that we did. We ended up choosing a different slab once we were able to see our original choice in person. Home Depot, where we made the original purchase, only provided a very small sample. We believe that a trip to the MKD facility really helped to increase our satisfaction level of our finished kitchen. They were courteous, fast and efficient throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend their services. Note: We would not recommend bringing children to their showroom, especially if you want to go into the back to view their slab selection.

Installer was great and we’re happy with the look we chose, aside from an unnecessary seam. However, they were given the wrong sink to install, so it didn’t fit. The manager told us we have to wait a week (without a sink) before they will send the installers back to our area. Extremely poor customer service.

Measure and install took considerably longer than usual. But this is the environment we are and understandable. Great communication and follow up!

Worst place to order your countertops from.. wouldn’t give any stars but had to give at least one.

We had an original installation date and it had to be postponed 1 month.When the installers came our cabinets were not level, which was our fault. We had them leveled thefollowing day. I called that day and we were scheduled 3 weeks out. After the installers left, I noticed black marks across the back of the coutertops. I calleId Home Depot and she had me submit photos which I did. She forwarded them to MKD. I did immediatly get a response from MKD. She stated what they would do is remove them with magic eraser and alcohol..It was going to be another 3 weeks for someone to come out and remove them, so I went and purchased the eraser and alcohol and did it myself. Why the installers did not do that before they left, I am not sure.The installers were not very friendly, but they did install my countertops well. I paid for a good installation, which I received, but it was a long time my kitchen was torn up waiting for it to be done. I understand that many bussiness are in the same boat and short of help. Home Depot and MKD did the best they could with what installers they had. A smile and a hellogoes a long way.

Love Love Love our new Granite counters! Right about the time our order started so did Covid19 and MKD was thrown an enormous curve but they (and we) rode the storm out and couldnt be happier! Jen at MKD was great to work with, she had to juggle the re-scheduling of installs for hundreds of customers and did it all while keeping her sense of humor and Josh and the install crew were absolutely top notch too! Very highly recommended!!!!!

We are very happy with our countertops. Ordering and installation was easy. I always received texts or emails confirming appointments. I can tell they care about their customers and run a good business.

The people who installed our kitchen cabinets did a great job of explaining the care of our new granite counter.

Not only did the lead time when purchasing our countertops keep getting pushed back and caused closing delays the seam of our countertops split after 1.5 years and they wanted over $300 to fix. When I talked to them they said its common when a house settles but they wont fix it. pretty terrible thing when they know something is going to happen. Will not use them again.

Awesome job! I was worried my seam would be noticeable but it is not. He did an excellent job! There’s a small marking on the stone but that could have been there before manufacturing? Not sure. I cannot count it against the company..they installed it so well..I can overlook the small marking. Great communicating with me as they answered all my questions prior to installation. We love our quartz countertop. It turned out beautifully. However when the guys were cleaning some adhesive off of it they left a pretty good scratch.

While we love the product, the customer service wasnt the best. We were told that we would get a call the day before the installation giving us a time estimate for the install. That did not happen. Instead we had to call the morning of to inquire about the two hour window. Not a big deal, but when you have to schedule time off work, its an inconvenience. Then, after waiting 8 weeks to get our new counter, they showed up without the backsplash!!! That meant setting aside another day for the job to be completed. To make matters worse, we had to make calls to get this situation rectified. The call we were told we should receive by noon the next day to schedule the backsplash installation never came. When we eventually were able to talk to someone about it, they scheduled us a week out. We once again were told wed get a call prior to the installation day letting us know an approximate time of arrival, and once again that did not happen. The people who came to our house for the measure & installation were courteous, professional, and did great work, but our overall experience with MKD was disappointing.

This is our second time working with MKD and both have been great. Quality work that was done on time. I would definitely recommend them for your next project!

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT use this company. They do NOT stick with timelines. We have had the kitchen installed date cancelled twice. The first time I was ok. The second time was the day they were supposed to arrive I received a call cancelling. This was right before the 4th of July holiday. I explain to them they promised this would be done and their response was almost like they didn’t care. Needless to say, we remove our own countertops, so we are now without countertops and plumbing in the kitchen for the holidays. We tried to hire another contractor to install the countertops however Michigan Kitchen Distributors would not release the paid in full countertops. I wish I knew who the installer were before so I could read the reviews. I noticed that all the good reviews the Owner responded the bad reviews NO apology. @Daniel Heethuis wish I had to read your review first as this is what Im going through.

We purchased quartz countertops from Home Depot in March…. fast forward to June 28, we still don’t have our countertops. This was a nightmare experience, my family was inconvenienced for months to say the least (no working kitchen). They gave us a date to install in April (4 weeks after purchase). Mind you, they have our sink measurement for weeks but called us 2 days before installation to tell us it will not fit. So, we have to buy custom-made sink to accommodate the specifications they gave us. Sink took 2weeks to be delivered, soon as it arrived we called MKD. They said, “we will call you for the installation date”. Has not heard from them, so my husband called. They told him “we still have to approve if the sink fits”. What? We ordered this custom-made based on what they’ve said would fit ( still, we sent MKD the name, brand and measurements from store to be 100% sure). So, my husband said it was already approved and we just needed a date to install. This time( June already, 3months after purchase), they are now saying their cutting machines were down and can’t give us a specific date. We went to Home Depot to just refund our money and go somewhere else. Home depot assured us they will give MKD a call first and find out what is going on. MKD called and is now saying June 28 as installation date. Today, they called us to cancel because they don’t have installers available, and will let us know later today when they will do it. Home Depot should be ashamed to have their name associated with this company. The grief they caused me and my family is so bad I find it difficult to trust people. We went back to Home Depot and had our money refunded, I did get my money back but lost trust.

Installers were excellent!

They gouged up my wall, ceiling, and trim around the window. Sent them the estimate and they said they won’t pay and when you request to talk to the manager he won’t even call you back. The contractor and Home Depot don’t understand why they didn’t put the counter top together inside the kitchen. We just had the kitchen remodeled and they ruined it. Very poor workmanship and very poor customer service.

Do yourself a favor and stay away!!Countertop was to be delivered April 28. The main kitchen countertop was broken in production, but no one called. I took the day off to present for install, the installer calls me at 830am freaking out that he can’t find my countertops. He calls back an hour later to tell me they were broken in production. I call everyday for a week before a new plan is hatched. Second time they schedule to come out to instal, they blatantly never make the new piece and simply don’t show up to install. No call, no explanation, just don’t show up. Five weeks later: I’m without a kitchen, doing my dishes in the shower, living in an unfinished house. The third time they come out the install finally happens. It’s not till after the installers leave that I find out the kitchen countertop is broken and the bath vanity has a huge black tool mark in a pristine white quartz. I have had to cancel the plumber, Electrian, and tile installer three times now!! These people are months out on bookings and are sending me no show bills. It has now been 7 weeks with no kitchen. No one came out to fix the crack as promised, no one has called to give me a new plan, the customer service girls are mean and useless. I’ve been hung up on with no answers. Absolutely shameful! Now they won’t return my calls, my kitchen is still not done, and I’m told to take it up with Home Depot. Do your self a favor and shop local. F U MKD.

Beautiful cabinets! Very happy with them. Our only issue was the base cabinet with the lazy susan arrived damaged. We didnt discover it until we installed the cabinets weeks later.

The countertops are beautiful. The measure was delayed due to weather and being snowed in. Then the install was delayed a few days due to illness. Once the installers were there everything went very well. We love our counters.

Absolute worst experience of my life! We ordered countertops through Home Depot in Feb. (MKD is one of the companies they use.)This company has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. MKD called right away and scheduled a measure date (April 27th) and install date (May 19th).....The kitchen person at Home Depot told us they would be picking up the sink to take back to the fabricator when they came to measure for the countertops. When the guy came to measure he was very nice and professional, before he left I asked if he needed to take the sink with him and he assured me he did not because he had the numbers on it. Fast forward to May 17th..I get a call from Christoper from MKD telling me that they most likely wouldnt be installing my countertops in two days because the fabricators didnt have the sink dimensions...obviously upset, I told Christopher that was unnacceptable, especially seeing as I asked the guy who came to measure if he needed to take the sink with him. Christopher drove to my house that Friday to pick up the sink to deliver it to Marshall. No communication from MKD for the next week at least. I had to keep contacting them to see if they had information on the next install date. Everyone kept trying to blame it on someone else and no one would take responsibility. After many phone calls later, I was finally given a date of June 4th for the install. I called on June 2nd to confirm the appointment because again, no communication from MKD. I was told by a very rude girl after a 20 minute wait that she had no answer for me. I called back the next day, June 3rd to make sure that the install was still on before my husband removed the old countertops and sink. I also SPECIFICALLY said...please make sure the installers bring our sink with them tomorrow for the install. The girl was a bit snippy again and said well its on the order so they wont forget it. She also said the arrival time would be between 9am and 11am and they would call us a half hour before they arrived.June 4th came, my husband had to take ANOTHER day off work after they botched our first install date..at 1055 I asked if he had heard anything from the installers, he had not. I look out the window to see them pulling up.. no call, no notice. When we asked why werent called in the half hour prior, they blamed it on MKD and said it was their responsibility to call us. Again...passing blame. As soon as they arrived my husband asked if they had the sink with them, and guess what, they DID NOT!! They brought the tops in and set them down and left. My husband had to call MKD and try to see where our sink was. It took literally all day for someone from MKD to track down our sink. Finally she said that there was no one to install over the weekend and it would be Monday. My husband had to work and couldnt afford to take another day off work due to MKDs negligence. I work midnights at the hospital and was scheduled Sunday and Monday night and so we told them we would be available after 4pm, the girl from MKD, Whitney I believe, said that would be fine. They would call us a half hour before they arrived Monday.Monday arrived and I get a call at 1207pm telling me that they would be arriving by 1pm. Obviously Im annoyed and frustrated seeing as though Ive now only had 4 hours of sleep and had to work again. Josh and another man installed the sink and finished up the countertops. Im okay with the job they did. The top portion of my cupboards are pretty banged up but its something I am sure we can fix. I would absolutely never, ever recommend this company to anyone or Home Depot for kitchen remodel. They lack communication with the customer and obviously each other, and take no personal responsibility for issues that arise that are caused by their company. They have cost us so much money over these last few months. We have had to take days off work, and rearrange our schedules due the incompetence of this company. We have never received an apology or any type of way to try to make this right.. To say we are disappointed is an understatement.

From ordering to installing our island countertop, was the easiest part of our kitchen renovation. Everyone was professional, courteous and respectful.

They were professional in appearance. Completely accommodating.There work was beyond expectations in all aspects.

MKD installed a counter top for our island - purchased from Home Depot. Jennifer from MKD handled our measurement and install appointments very efficiently - and in a friendly manner. She was responsive to all our emails. The technicians were easy to work with and made sure we were pleased with their work.

MKD did a great job on my countertops! The designer from THD wasnt aware that the pattern I originally picked out wouldnt work well with my layout due to a directional pattern and seams. The measurement crew picked out the problem right away so that I could pick a different selection (which I like even better!). The install crew had the old tile countertops out so quick and saved most of the tiles so I could reuse them for a different project. The rest of the install went great. Highly recommend MKD.

Completely dishonest and when caught, wont respond. Inaccurate quotes then come back an ask for more. Cannot be trusted. Look at Facebook and the BBB. A lot of negative feedback.

They did good work, but if anything goes wrong take pictures! They broke our plumbing and did not say anything. It was an easy fix so I did it myself. I got a call from them to find out how my satisfaction was. After playing phone tag for 4 days I got thought. She was nice but kept saying that “it wasn’t like their installers” and “we will send you a $50.00 gift card”. I just wanted to let them know what happened. Supposedly, we were supposed to sign documentation at the completion of the installation of the countertop. They did not let us know there was/did not offer any documentation to sign. Update to come as I get them.Update: I spoke with their customer service representative again and she assured me that the situation with the installers would be handled. I genuinely believe it will be or at least I hope. If you mess up in someone’s house the right thing to do is at least tell them. That is all I wanted out of the situation was for them to just tell me that they messed up. So that I would be able to fix it in a timely manner. If I could give a five star to customer service I would but unfortunately it is a review of the whole company. One of the biggest part for this company is the installers at least from my customers perspective. So my review will stay at a one star.

Great customer service and a great product. Their installers are really good and they do not make a mess when in your home. I found that the best way to reach the customer service department is threw email, which isnt always how I like to communicate with a business but in the end my issues were completely resolved. Covid-19 delayed the process but that was no ones fault.

MKD installed beautiful granite countertops for me. They laid out the pattern beautifully and they were on time and cleaned up everything before they left. My countertops fit like a glove. I would highly recommend this company.

The installers were very professional. They did a excellent job!! We could not ask for better service.

MKD staff did a great job installing new undermount sink in new gray Corian countertop. They manufactured to measurements perfectly. Only issue we had was that a sink rack was lost, but they worked to resolve that issue, albeit slowly. This was our 2nd experience with MKD and I would say the customer service communication could have been much better.

The back splashes did not come with the counter tops as ordered, however the installers stated they would come immediately Monday morning to install and finish the project. Which they did. I was pleased with that. They did rip drywall/paint off the wall in 3 different locations. I plan eventually to have tiled back splash put up so not stressing about it, but still was a little disappointing since I just had my home professionally painted for the first time, I feel they could have been a little more careful with that part. Overall satisfied and recommend.

MKD made our kitchen remodel a joy to behold! Scheduling through our kitchen designer at Hone Depot was painless and the process went without a hitch. We are pleased to recommend MKD for countertops.

We went through home depot for a bathroom counter, they sent the job to MKD. The initial communication was a little slow. But once we got in touch with them everything went smoothly. The finished product is great, the guys who installed it were very nice and friendly. Would use again for sure.

I must also say, Nick is one of the nicest in-home service repair specialists we’ve experienced since moving to Jackson.Hopefully, MKD will do a good job installing your countertops. Do not get your counter tops from here! I went through Home Depot and this is the company they use. I purchased my counters in full on January 1, 2021at 10:00 in the morning. I was assured somebody would be out within a week to measure and to template. After not receiving a call I reached out to them and they assured me someone would come out the 3rd week of January. Gave me a time and date. As that date approached I reached out to confirm we were still on for that day and the lady on the phone proceeded to tell me they rescheduled my appointment but didn’t call to tell me. They pushed my measuring appointment out to the first week of February. Again I called to confirm and once again they rescheduled me for a different time. Mind you I already paid in full and had nothing to show for my purchase. Their template guy came out and measured and proceeded to tell me all my cabinets were not level and I would be responsible for leveling my cabinets rather than level the countertop... anyways. After they measured they called and told me my install date which was today March 11 with an appointment windo between 11-1. Also I work full time so all these appointments that they reschedule and changed I’m taking time off work..So today I am expecting someone between 11-1. As 1oclock rolled around I called and they said “oh he’s tied up, he will be there sometime today” so now I have to sit home all day when they originally told me an appointment window. Around 3 still no one so I call again and they said they couldn’t get ahold of the installer and to just sit tight. The installer did end up showing up around 3:30 and installed the counters. They look good, wish they would have cleaned up a bit more but it is what it is, I understand that the installers were busy. However I have asked multiple times to have management call me so I could speak with someone in charge and try to somehow compensate me for all the time I took off work for my appointment to get rescheduled but still have not heard from anyone, even after being promised I would hear from someone. So hopefully management reads this and finally reaches out to me and rights their wrong. -Chris

My installer s where great dudes. Talked with me about any concerns and we talked about other in general stuff nice guys. Did good work and was way faster then I thought the install would be. Extremely happy. And I gave them a couple cold cokes because it was like 95 degrees that day. I suggest these guys get a raise cause they deserve it

When someone does a job for me I expect a Professional..This Old House Experience...When their recently hired installers Did Not do a Professional job I told them about my experience. They immediately asked for pictures..Sent a person over to look at the job.They completely removed and replaced the quartz counters..I Highly Recommend Them.

Granite countertop was beautiful, a couple of small concerns with it but issues were very quickly addressed and corrected. I would return to MKD for future projects.

The countertops look beautiful. But I still have an unresolved problem that the company should have said in the beginning they couldn’t do before I paid for it. I paid for a Waterfall countertop at the end of the counter and now after it was paid for and everything has been installed, they are telling us they don’t do Waterfalls. Not a happy customer.

Amazing counter tops for your home built to fit and beautiful craftsmanship

This is the company that is used by Home Depot for hard countertops. They stated that they needed to take our kitchen sink for the measurements on the cut. This was fine until they LOST our sink and had to order a new one. Not only that but they didnt even say anything until our INSTALL DATE! I even called into work just to try to get the remodel done at a resonable time. This all ended up pushing the remodel back weeks where we had an unusable kitchen. To make up for this they agreed to the chip minimizer add-on for free (which after double checking after the install they did NOT DO). And lasty they somehow even lost our backsplash so we need to wait even longer for this to all be done. This is what they are supposed to do for a living, so why so many mistakes?

Presently unable to properly handle/keep appointments, yet alone provide any kind of adequate communication of what is going on with their mis-schedulings. 👎As the saga still continues, the countertop template was mis-measured such that they have to rig a filler so as not to go through the hassle of having portions of things re-done and wait further for this all to be completed. 👎👎. Fortunately this is for a basement kitchenette. If this was the main kitchen of our house, a lot more hell would be raised than what’s already been risen on this whole fiasco.

I was called by Eddie one of there so called schedulers asking for my plumbing company to come reinstall sinks. When we spoke due to all my outstanding receivables i told him that we would need payment within 5 business days. Eddie stated that he would call me back in which 20 minutes later he did and said send the invoice per accounts payable person they would send it within that time period. Jump forward 14 days later i still have not received a check. When i have called after being on hold for over 45 minuets there were multiple excuses for me not receiving my payment. IM TURNING THIS OVER TO MY ATTORNEY FOR COLLECTION. ALSO THERE INSTALLERS CAN NOT EVEN CUT HOLES OUT CORRECTLY NOR DO THEY MESSURE THE TOPS RIGHT. THEY HAVE TO GO BACK TO REPAIR AND REPLACE 4 TOPS DUE TO THERE SHOTTY WORK. I WILL RE UPDATE SOON
