Dr. Garbowitz was very attentive and took his time explaining everything. The staff was excellent, especially his assistant, who was very competent and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Eckstein for at least 20 years (although youd never know shes been in practice for that long by looking at her) and trust her implicitly. She is very thorough and accurate in her lens prescription. They also have a great selection of frames to choose from.

It was a long time since I had my eyes examined. I choose new city eyes because their reviews. Everyone was very nice and helpful. They were patient and well detailed.

This is the first time I have ever written a review. II recently purchased glasses at New City Eyes. I was at the store two times. Once to order my glasses and once to pick them up. Both times the receptionist who sits at the desk was extremely rude. Made me feel like she was doing me a favor by letting me in the store. On the other hand the optician who helped me with my glasses was extremely helpful and nice. That is the reason I purchased the glasses.

LOVED THE EXPERIENCE. Dr. Scott Garbowitz was the best. He was real relaxed and explained everything perfectly. Answer all my questions and the whole staff made my feel so comfortable. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Dr Garboritz was great with my 11 year old son. Figured out some vision issues other doctors had missed. Rest of the staff was good too. Would def recommend.

New City Eyes employees were all so friendly and caring. They are knowledgeable about what they do and ready to offer suggestions if asked. The place is immaculate and they made me feel safe by disinfecting after each person. Thats alot of work and makes me feel like they care not only for their own health and well being but for everyone elses too.

The team at New City Eyes is the best. I found this place when I lived locally but always went back even living almost an hour away. I met Dr. Eckstein almost 20 years ago and then started seeing Dr. Garbowitz. They are both great doctors and extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. The ladies at the front are also very knowledgeable, friendly and great at their jobs. I truly enjoy visiting this office.**Regarding Covid concerns, there are none. They are extremely safe, always cleaning the surfaces, the office and equipment had special protective barriers and they had procedures in place that would make anyone feel safe.**I have and always will recommend this office to anyone I know. I’ve been using New City Eyes for almost three years and they are always fast friendly and do all they can to get you the best deals! The front reception staff are always on top of it! They know your insurance and what discounts you get. And both doctors are great!

My whole family has come to New City Eyes for years to get their eye care . Today I Brought my 14 yo in to get fit for contact lenses, a task I was not necessarily looking forward to. As usual, I was greeted immediately by a warm and professional staff that fixed the sunglasses that I had bought there a year earlier while I waited. Dr. Eckstein is gifted and extremely patient in teaching patients how to wear contacts and had my daughter putting in and taking out her contacts in less then a hour. In an era when people try to do everything on line, I value the personal attention I get there.

I went to New City Eyes for first time today for exam. I loved everything about it. The staff was great, kind, helpful and patient and made it fun trying on all the different frames. I saw Dr. Eckstein and she was kind, very thorough and explained all the tests and what she was looking for. It was great to understand the biology of the eyes and all the conditions. The doctor is very professional, nice and he always gives a thorough eye exam. He makes sure I will be comfortable with my prescription for my glasses and contacts and adjusts it if I have any issues. He always explains everything going on with my eyes and takes every kind of exam to make sure my eyes are healthy. The ladies there are great helping me choose new frames and handling all the billing and insurance. They are really nice and friendly as well as professional. They use top equipment for tests and works very hard to be up to date. I always have a positive experience coming here. And I never really have to wait too long before being seen by the doctor.

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Garbowitz on my first visit. He made me feel very comfortable and was just an overall great experience. It was about a 45 min wait but I didnt hold it against the office. The doctor made up for it in his attentiveness and an extremely thorough exam. The staff were also extremely courteous, informative and very professional. It was easy to get an appointment via ZocDoc and a followup visit since they have a great variety of office hours. With all the patients that he has, he still remembers me each time and makes me feel completely at ease. His staff is really great too. I had quite a pleasant experience at New City Eyes this evening. Dr. Eckstein was very professional and took care of me in a timely manner. She was very thorough and explained everything she was doing throughout the appointment. Through her extensive knowledge and expertise she discovered that I was wearing the wrong prescription for the past year. I came in for a contact lens fitting and was provided multiple lenses to take home for try on. I was even able to try on some cool Gucci frames before I left. The staff will definitely make sure you leave a happy customer without the pressure to buy. I would definitely give New City Eyes a try.

I was a first time customer yesterday and had such an amazing experience. Dr. Garbowitz was super thorough with his eye exam, and I can tell he has my eye’s health at best interest because he wasn’t pushing me for a higher prescription- which has happened to me in the past. The woman who helped pick out my glasses was so sweet and honest, and not pushy at all! I am so indecisive and she took the time to really make sure I left happy! I know I am annoying when it comes to things like that and she did not make me feel that was at all. Loved my experience!

I had a wonderful experience here. Friendly and professional staff and Dr. Eckstein takes her time with each patient and really makes sure that you are taken care of. I went in for a yearly check up but did not have a good experience at the previous doctor I was going to. I was starting to have blurrier vision and having trouble focusing close up... so I thought I needed a stronger contact lens script. Dr. Eckstein caught the problem, I was actually given (by the previous doctor) a contact lens script that was much stronger than what I actually needed, so I ended up going down in strength ... which helped with all my problems including the headaches I was getting. Highly recommend New City Eyes to everyone!

If you want a billing nightmare, this is the place to go. If you want a facility that makes a mistake & overbills you for services that were covered by insurance & then tells you for months that they will credit you back, this is the place to go. After over four months of emails, phone calls (most of which are not returned because the billing person is not in the office today) and no credit applied to my credit card after promises to do so, it was time to write this review & report them to the Better Business Bureau.I would highly recommend staying away from this facility (which also kept me waiting an hour after my scheduled appointment time, even though I was the first appointment of the day). Heck, they didnt open the doors by 10am which was my appt time.
