Great looking furniture and great service. Very thankful for the patience of the sale person and even more for the two delivery young men. They were very attentive and very caring while bringing in the furniture and while putting it together. It was very refreshing to see somebody treat other peoples things like they were their own. They had very beautiful furniture. Large showroom with tons of furniture. My only issue is that I had to go and find someone to ask questions about a piece of furniture. He quickly answered the question and walked off. I had follow up questions but changed my mind. The staff didnt act like were interested in working the last hour of work. But the furniture itself is beautiful.

Fairly decent prices and a huge selection. With Covid everything has a shipping delay, but luckily our coach was in stock. We are still waiting on the ottoman, but we knew it was going to take a while. The salesman was very patient as I sat on several different couches and kept changing my mind.

Price check EVERYTHING. They markup way above what the retail price is NEW from places like Ashley. We looked at a hallway tree and they said new it’s $509 and we found it at Ashley new for $330. I also pointed out a paint chip and he just took a furniture marker and filled it in in front of me and didn’t offer to come down because of it. Places is a joke!

The owner & son were rude. The furniture is marked up almost 2 times more than other local furniture stores. We found the same sofa for $749 at Goree’s in Opelika (I had written proof of price) however it was out of stock. Tate had the exact same sofa in stock & would NOT come off the price of $1181 due to COVID (of coarse)!!! Will NEVER buy anything from them again!!! NOTE: The salesperson was very nice, helpful, & courteous. Rating this store a 1 is being overrated!!!!

Bought a sofa and love seat. Sold as seen. Management didn’t see any tears in it, I didn’t see any tears in it. Delivered to my home. We didn’t notice it till later that same day that it had a tear in the back. Notified Tate and they basically said tough. Didn’t offer to fix it. Offered to take it back. If you buy anything from this place check it for tears because they won’t tell you up front. I guess the customer is always wrong.

Great experience. Purchased a sectional and picked it up (on a rainy day). Staff was very friendly. My sectional was wrapped and loaded on my truck well. It rained during transport however nothing was wet or damaged . Thank you !!

Great service! This was my first time visiting their store. I received immediate assistance, not condescended to and the salesman (Anndre) went out of his way to accommodate me. I made a (for me) large purchase and used their lay-a-way plan. I will definitely be using Tates in the future and recommending them!

Possibly one of the largest selections of furniture in the Columbus area. Andre was very helpful and friendly. They carry Ashley Signature furniture at much better prices than the same furniture at the Ashley showroom. Delivery was quick and they set everything up.

Just wanted to speak my mind on this place. So with me being in the military I wanted some good quality furniture that would last til I at least retire in 6 more years. I went into tates thinking it was a good place to shop. Oh boy was I wrong not even 6 months after I bought this couch, loveseat and recliner it started squeaking horribly. I called them to explain what was going on with our furniture. Long story short they came and grabbed it, supposedly fixed it and brought it back. They brought it back worse than when they took it. So we decided to go talk to Mr Tate himself. First off this man has no customer service to his customers. We tried to explain what was going on with our stuff and he gave us this spill on he was the one that fixed our stuff and he was doing us a favor blah blah blah. Bottom line it was not worth our time to go down there and try to even talk to that dude cause he was disrespectful and didnt care what we had to say. I would strongly recommend to stay clear of this place especially if youre military.

My experience was absolutely aweful! Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I was told by 3 different people not to go to Tates but no, I was pulled in by their low prices. Wow, how I wished I had listened. The old man who owns the store would not even listen as I tried to sit down and explain how one of his employees tried to take $200 from me. Im a lady who lives on a fixed income and dont get much money but he laughed and walked off! I was absolutely appalled. I am an educated woman and I told him I had choices but I chose to go to his store. He said thats your problem maam. I sat there and cried. Im so ashamed I went there. Please take your money elsewhere or this mean, nasty, poor excuse of a man will try to take it. Thank you for reading.
