I worked at Sanmina for a few years as an SMT Operator. The pay was way too low and the mandatory overtime hours (3pm-3am) 6 days a week was too demanding. I eventually got burned out. I was trained to program and troubleshoot, however I was still only paid as an operator with the promise of a promotion always next week or soon. With that being said, I dont regret it at all. I learned enough knowledge due to having the responsibilities of programmer and technician that I continued in the field and was hired at a leading electronics company as an SMT Programming Engineer and making at least double with great benefits. This is a really good introductory position to learn the field and move on somewhere else. I would not recommend working here more than a few years here though and I would think of it more as a partially paid internship as opposed to a job that will pay your bills.
Its work. Make your own conclusions.
STILL WAITING ON MY CHECKS!
Well organized corporation.
