Brought my wife 4 kids and mom for a last minute Friday night dinner. Got seated right away and greeted immediately by our waitress ANNA. Anna was outstanding from start to finish. From juggling kids random drink orders to adding fries to a kids pancake meal she made it all happen. She continued to check on us and kept up with all our requests. The 5 star review is for ANNA and her above and beyond service. Job well done with tremendous all around service!

My side dishes were cold but the Fish was the BEST! The manager returned with hot side dishes. I asked for salt and pepper, the young man standing by the fireplace with a table said hes get someone for me. After a while, I asked the ladies beside me if I could use theirs. They were very busy and my waitress and manager were certainly bustling!The Fish was hot, Crunchy, and good enough in itself to get me to come back!!!

Guaranteed good food and friendly service. Not for those who are on a low carb diet and are easily tempted.I got the maple bacon grilled chicken and it was excellent. The friends I was with loved the desert! We got strawberry lemonade icebox pie and the Beignets.

Fabulous customer service and food, and felt very safe staying overnight in the lot where another family with an RV also stayed. Nice and quiet and one of the very few places for overnight RV parking in the area.

My wife and I both really like the overall experience and food at Cracker Barrel. Its very friendly feeling with reliable Southern style cooking and reasonable prices. Very few seem to be located in California so we look for them when traveling.

Just went for our first time and food was delicious!! Devoured everything lol. Service members were very welcoming and gave us great customer service! Our serve Lily was fantastic and treated us so well with our needs. We definitely enjoyed her as our server! Definitely coming back again sometime when in town!

First time here and wasnt sure what to expect. My friend in Missouri said it was for old folks and it certain was a friendly place for seniors. The food was good but nothing spectacular. Good honest, down home fare which was just what I was looking for. I enjoyed it.

First time to a Cracker Barrel. It was outstandingly delicious. The Chicken Bacon Lettuce Tomato was scrumptious. I choose mac n cheese as a side which was out of this world. We also got fried chicken. Yumminess all around. I could have done some Christmas shopping done in the store. Ill be back.

So...my husband and I have been waiting for the crowds to thin out before we went to the new Cracker Barrel in Santa Maria. Our plan worked out perfectly and it was worth the wait. My husband had the blueberry pancakes...perfect...hot blueberry syrup and all. I had to try Chicken Fried Steak...loved it. I couldnt get enough of the fresh lemonade. I want to go back and do some shopping, the country store is loaded with everything I love.

Lately the veggies in the country sides have been over cooked . My collard greens shouldnt look like a brown pile of goo and the broccoli was like rubber. Teach your people to cook their vegetables properly because I enjoy the rest of the food .

We waited about 45 minutes to be seated. But that wasnt a problem since we checked out there cute store. Our food came rather quickly after we ordered it. I had the meatloaf....it was the best Ive ever eaten! My wife is vegan and they accommodated her as well. The service was awesome!

Ive eaten at Cracker Barrel VA for breakfast many times and this was my first time for dinner at CB Santa Maria. First, i realize this CB is newly opened so I understand they still have a lot to work out. I wouldnt rely too much on the waiting list online. We added our name to the waiting list 30 minutes from the restaurant, but when we arrived at the restaurant the staff said it would be a 35 minute wait. The staff is super nice though and accommodating. I had the chicken dinner but my sides of greens and mac and cheese were barely warm. My sister didnt like the catfish, she says it was too dry. Im sure things will get better.

We had a very nice meal there... the service was great.. the food was great.. the girl who waited on us was just wonderful. I think all the people who works at the cracker barrel are great.. want great food go to the cracker barrel in santa maria ca.. loved it !!

Great old-fashioned country store/restaurant! Unique seasonal and nostalgic gifts and deliciuos, big variety of foods at great prices!

Came here on the recommendation of my husband who grew up in the south. We saw a billboard for it on Highway 101 south as we were traveling back to Los Angeles. This new restaurant in Santa Maria has all the ambience of a real Southern restaurant. Try the chicken pot pie special on Wednesday or the $4.99 breakfast. And after you eat, go shopping in the adjoining country gift shop. Be sure to take a picture in the big rocking chairs on the front porch!

Nice clean inviornment friendly jost the gift shop is cool with all the holiday seasons and birthday section the candy 🍭 is the best. Their chinken dumpling mashed potatoes and gravy with hash brown casserole was delicious 😋 with the best dessert peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream to end with.

Terrible service. My family of 5 came in and put our names on the list for a 10 minute wait to be seated. No big deal, we walked around and enjoyed the store while we waited. During that time four other families of similar sizes came in and got on the list. We were called to be seated at the same time one of the other families was called, except we had a table for TWO not 5. When I stated the obvious issue, we were told we would have to wait an additional 30 minutes to be seated while the family that came after us, got their table. We just left and will not be back. Not worth our time.

I ordered the Sunday special with a side of beans and fruit. When I got my side of fruit, I saw I had received an insanely small portion. Im not sure if this was an isolated event or not, but I was disappointed. I only received two strawberry slices and when I put the two slices together, they didnt even create ONE whole strawberry. In addition, the 3 pieces of pineapple were 2 distinct colors. 2 of the pineapple pieces were nice and yellow, while one was white like a piece of school paper. In general the quality of the food was subpar, but the service was excellent.

Exceeded my expectations. You can tell the staff has been trained exceptionally well. For a busy Sunday night, wait time was decent and as soon as we were seated, everything was quick and precise. Food was really good. I didnt really care for the store, though. Not my type of merchandise.

Always will stop at a cracker barrel when traveling...maybe 1 day CA will have enough locations...for now its well worth stopping..even though they are far and few

When this place first open, we came to try it out, the so called famous Chicken was really good, but the second time we came on 5/16/21, it was the worst, the chicken they serviced us was dry, the outside of the chicken looked like its been sitting under the HEAT LAMP all day, and the so called famous biscuits looked like little round uncooked scones. Cracker Barrel has gone down really fast since they opened here in Santa Maria, its time for them to close up shop and let a better restaurant open up.

Great service. Slow to seat us but they get a all stars for always getting what we needed. Good was great and lots of it.

Not the best, far from the worst, food was brought out extremely fast(less than 10 minutes) but the country ham was so chewy it cold have been mistaken as a rubber dogs toy. I also didnt realize that their coffee was priced at $3.19 per cup...that seems excessive... the waiter that helped us was enthusiastic but not great, brought out the ticket WAY EARLY! and didnt stay on top of my $3.19 a cup coffee refills.( my cup was near the edge of the table and empty for over 10 minutes.) A few weeks ago I ate here and would have rated a strong 4 stars but nowhere that charges that price for coffee will ever be 4 star.

This place has fun stuff on the wall and the store is cool. Food is good (breakfast) when we have been there. Moderately priced meals.

First time trying it out. $30 for 2. No drinks. The fried chicken was really dark and tasted like old oil. Having both worked in the food industry in our youth, the old oil flavor was evident. Sides were not flavorful. We had fried okra, corn, mac n cheese, and hash brown casserole. The only distinguishable flavor in my chicken and dumplings was salt. Really unusually bland food considering we usually eat a low sodium diet. Food had salt, but little else as far as flavor. Really weird. We are both big eaters, but neither of us could finish our food. Just not good. Service was exceptional though. Really cheery and nice.

Comfort food and kind service that seems to hit it right every time.

The food was mediocre at best though it looks very appealing. The dessert was overpriced and only half filled with pudding while the rest was whipped cream. The portion sizes were below average. The customer service was decent so thats why its 2 stars.

Awesome Homestead Country Food..as always for me, went for Sampler, which has Ham, Meatloaf, and Chicken and dumplings, plus up to 3 sides (I tend to go for Fried Okra, then some combo of Pinto Beans, Potato Cassarole, Country Style Green Beans, or a Baked Apple.)

Ive been waiting for them to come to cali. The hashbrowns are exceptional! The grandmas pancakes are are so yummy! Definitely get the peach topping its not super sweet and delicious as a topping on the pancakes. You can share one topping among three peoples pancakes so even if it doesnt come with you pancakes add it! You will be thanking me! It gets crowded but if you arrive at 730am its still pretty empty. They ask you for coffee refills quite often so youll never run out of cofee! French toast and sausage is pretty delicious as the sausage is smoked!

I love shopping in the gift shop. Good old fashioned food.

Due to COVID, our team was unable to come together for our Thanksgiving potluck. We appreciate Cracker Barrel for pre-packaging 90 turkey plates so we could individually celebrate.Angela was great and easy to communicate with. I called with questions and had to update our order a few times and she was there to help every time.The food was ready upon arrival and everything was packaged nicely. Well had high expectations of this place being a new addition to our City looks really nice inside and out. They even have a gift shop and sell rocking chairs. They have paper menus first disappointment for ME. As far as OUR food it wasnt a good experience. I order the country boy breakfast with the top sirloin steak, eggs, grits, buiscuits and gravy, cooked apples and what they called hash brown casserole. I order medium cooked for the steak.my wife order the grandmas special scramble eggs one MINI sausage patty, bacon and pancakes. My steak was almost raw the buiscuits tasted like uncooked dough the grits I didnt even try not a big fan and the hash browns tasted like out of a box the ones you just add water the apples were ok. The wifes sausage patty was raw the bacon was cold and she said the eggs lacked salt or flavor, the best thing on this meal was the pancakes that she had and the eggs over medium that I had were the only authentic things In those plates

Upon arrival we were told by the hostess there was about a 15 minute wait. After waiting 30 minutes and watching two couples get seated, that arrived after us, we asked where we were on the list.... the hostess said it will be 30 minutes...People using the rocking chairs... but never got wiped down... COVID-19 can spread easy that way...SM Cracker Barrel tried to tell me they said 50 minutes in a text almost 2 hours after we left. The first couple that showed up after us was seated in about 15 minutes. The second couple were seated about 30 minutes.... that is what prompted me to ask about seating times. But maybe the hostess noticed I was a Disabled Combat Veteran and didnt want us there.

Great experience. I reccomend that everyone tries it out at least once. A bit of a long wait but the food is worth it. Good old fashioned country food. And there are dozens of rocking chairs on the porch for you while you wait. And the hash brown casserole is the best thing I have ever had in my life.

Recently took a family vacation here, thank you Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce, I am not ashamed to say we had dinner here two nights in a row! Food was delish, we got the Sunday Chicken twice because it was soooooo crispy. Service was fast (we picked up) food was awesome and the prices were more then reasonable.

I had lunch today at the Santa Maria location. I ordered the Fish Fry..... it was ok. The first bite I tried of the fried fish fell apart in my hand as did the rest of the order, had to use my fork to eat my fried fish. I think it could have used a little more time frying. The batter was ok but would have been better had it had a little more crunch and seasoning to it. The cole slaw was also ok, needed a little something else, not sure what but something was missing. My whole order was a little blond. I will most definitely come back to try something else. Im not a foodie but the fish and slaw both needed more seasoning. Wait staff was great.

Ive been to alot of Cracker Barrels because we have a motorhome and when we travel we will stop in to one if we see it on our way. I was really not happy on this visit. The service was slow and when I got my food the whip cream was running off the side onto the table and the fruit I ordered was peaches and I couldnt tell if it was apple or peach.

I was very disappointed in my order of Chicken and Dumplings. Sure not like grandma use to make. Still wanting to know we’re the chicken was, only three little slivers of chicken, but a lot of dumplings, no flavor either. Not worth it. I have eaten 3 times at a CB, salad has been the best.
