Second opinions can be worth a lot of money. I got one after Polaris came to my boat. I was told my starboard compressor unit was shot along with the electronic board on my Marine Air conditioning unit while docked in Venice FL in Nov 2015. They wanted to replace the entire uint. I waited, got a scond opnion that said the board was the only thing wrong. A new board and a couple hundred dollars later I was back in business, nice cold air using the same compressor.
