Saturday late morning and my daughter and I were in the mood for breakfast. The Point Diner offered the perfect solution.Ample parking got us into the Point Diner quickly. The sounds and smells of a clean, well run beach Diner are like music to my ears. Fresh, hot coffee and orange juice kept us company while we chose our meals. My picky daughter ordered and ate the French toast and I had waffles with a side of bacon.Our meals were simple, came fast, tasted yummy, were relatively inexpensive and served in a tasteful and clean environment. Nice diner! Standard diner fare menu but with a few extras and surprises thrown in. Nice variety of specials. Service is friendly and prompt.I had a tuna melt, because I was in a bit of a hurry. Had a nice tang to it, served hot, not soggy, nice crisp fries.Its a huge place, and since its off season for the shore it looked like some of it was closed off. But still plenty of room and nicely appointed.If you want a good default kind of place before wandering into the crush of Ocean City, this is ideal!
Good diner with all day breakfast. A little care worn, but in a good nostalgic way. Food was prompt and exactly as ordered.
Every time we come here we feel so welcomed. The prices are beyond reasonable and the staff is beyond friendly. We recommend this plate to everyone!!!

Lousy food and mediocre service. They need to teach the hostess how to properly greet customers. Food was blah at best. Go to the Windjammer next door. A much better option and they dont charge for more than one refill on the iced tea. Avoid like the Covid-19 virus
Food and service always good. Go for breakfast most of the time it is the only place open early. All other restaurants closed at 7 am.

My husband had the lamb gyro and enjoyed it. I had the turkey and stuffing with green bean, a great diner staple! It was a very.large portion, I had it for dinner and had enough left over to make us both a sandwich for lunch the next day!
Very nice hostess sat me at the counter.Which was very clean and well organized too. Maria the waitress took my order of ham and cheese omelet.Very yummy tasting omelet and good rye bread toi.
I ordered chili and as much as I hate saying this, it was AWFUL! I HATE kidney beans. Pink beans are much better. Waaaaay too much tomato paste. I only had a few bites. Hubby didnt like it either.

The service here was terrible. However, it may be a great place to dine with the family, but I didnt experience that this summer. The establishment was so understaffed we waited nearly 20 min for coffee. Needless to say, we left without ordering.
Seated at 11:00 for breakfast and still waiting for our food @ noon. Not very busy but they are hiring and short staffed. Dont come here if you are hungry until they get fully staffed.

As of July 5th they are short staffed with long wait times. We also had a long wait time once we were seated. They did have a Now Hiring sign in the window so if it is still there when you go, you might want to find somewhere else until they get caught up with staff. The bacon was half raw and when I sent it back, it came back burnt! The pancakes were delish!
The waitress was wonderful. She was attentive, refilled the coffee numerous times and was good with my very tired son. The prices were reasonable. We both ate for under $20, before tip.Unfortunately the food is just okay. Maybe it has been too long since Ive enjoyed a classic diner, but I always remember the food being heaping portions and deliciously sloppy. My Reuben was fine, but I wouldnt order it again.

My wife had the short stack pancakes which was large, was good and brought home 1/2 because it was so large. I had the meat lovers omelet which was very good, large and very filling.
The service was wonderful and the food was so delicious! There was a small mix up with one of our orders, but they handled it perfectly and immediately fixed it.
Good for breakfast, dont do dinner not the greatest with the seafood. Always good coffee and breakfast though. The French onion soup is always delish.

The Gyro is to die for! I only gave four stars though because they discontinued their Snapper Turtle soup. Otherwise the customer service is wonderful and the restaurant is very clean.

Excellent breakfast specials, your choice of 2 eggs any style, choice of toast, home fries and choice of meat $7.50 however and this makes no sense just dont order a breakfast sandwich cause it will run you $8.80
Wait staff seemed completely disinterested. Only one other table and took ages to take an order. My pancakes were dry and disappointing while the eggs were barely edible. Definitely avoid.

Had the breakfast special. It was very good. Our waitress was excellent. She was very busy but took the time to refresh our coffee and checked to see that everything was good. I recommend this Diner. I will return on my next visit to Ocean City NJ.

Please notice alert. Horrible. Why are you guys even open. I supported you guys through covid and you would treat a local customer so poorly. Close before 2. I order soup and you locked the doors on me. Im also the person who leaves a 30 dollar tip on a quart of soup. I was sent away and treated badly. Please do not dine here, do not support this business during covid they do not care about you. So sad to see the point diner decline so bad over the last 20 years. Please go to Ocean City for breakfast. Donnys Family kitchen out of this world. And to the owner I will be going on every travel website to forward this message. As a chef and a consumer very sad at the way you do business.

Easily my wifes and my favorite place. THE go to diner. Ill happily drive passed multiple dinners to go here. Food tastes amazing, good deals, prices are cheap. Could go there every day, eat something different, and not get bored.

We went to the Point Diner because it was the best looking of the 2 options. Very clean. Ample parking.Waitress and hostess were very friendly.I drink decaf, and it was very good.Now.....the food.....wow.My wifes Spanish Omelet was stuffed. Beautiful, tasted great.I got the Texas toast French toast. Perfectly cooked, again enough food for 2 people.I can imagine this place being packed during the prime season. It was quite busy during the off season.A gem among Diners, in the diner capital of the world.
Great food at reasonable prices, great people, very down-to-Earth management, always clean. Lovely spot for classic American food right by the bridge to Ocean City. My best friends and I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. Lots of wonderful memories here. Id give them 6 stars if I could.

Loved my Tuesday special, chicken pot pie. Very flavorful with tender chicken and a flaky crust. Rice pudding for dessert could have been creamier, the rice tasted undercooked. I hope to eat here again before returning home to Florida. Thanks Emily for your terrific service.

I used to come here a lot with my dad when he lived in ocean city. It was a great place, even during the season, when it gets crazy here. The food was always top notch. Havent been there in a few years as my dad has moved from there. Took my mom there the other day and what a change !! It was not busy at all. It took a while for my food, but no biggie. Well, my potatoes were cold, half my omlet was runny and uncooked. And my toast was as hard as a brick and cold like it was hours old. Once I say the runny eggs I felt like I was going to puck. If I could give them no stars I would.
This was an interesting restaurant right out on the main road coming into Ocean City New Jersey. It offers great Nostalgia for dining experience, the food was moderately tasteful and the atmosphere comfortable. The service acceptable and the price is Affordable. Worth the stop along the way from anywhere. ~V.

Have been there several times. The food has been great, the service has been great and place is spotlessly clean. You look around at all the glass in there, mirrors, partitions, everything spotlessly clean. Well done. The best part is the value for price paid, fantastic. Especially for this area.
