I needed to get a new car after an accident and was very intimidated by all of the talk around low inventory and price markups for both new and used cars. I looked to the Costco Auto Program to find a reliable bottom line price to compete with dealers but couldnt find a better deal than the one I got from Charlie Pham, my sales rep.Charlie was super professional, very nice and helped me to find the exact car I wanted for the price I wanted. I was going in expecting a promotional 0% rate but inconveniently Mazda had changed the program the day before I came in to buy. Charlie went to work and put together a workaround where he made up difference in other discounts to ensure I could close the deal and drive home in the car I wanted.Driving home in a 2021 Mazda CX-5 black with white interior, and Im very happy with my purchase. Walked out with a year of free maintenance, LoJack, door protection and a wash for very close to MSRP, something I wasnt expecting during this apparent shortage.If you have Costco and even if you dont and you just want a smooth car buying experience, look up Charlie Pham and he will take care of you and take the pain out of car shopping.Thanks Charlie and the South Bay Mazda team!

I usually dont enjoy dealership service experiences at all & try to avoid them. I have to admit, Edgar Cruz was a pleasant surprise. He listened closely, asked me relevant questions & didnt try to upsell me any additional repairs.The issue turned out to be the battery and they promptly replaced it without charge & with no labor fees. His time estimate was accurate and he could not have been more polite and professional. He even paid for an Uber for me to visit a Starbucks during the wait. I can tell you, my experience at other dealerships have not remotely approached this commitment to service.

I leased my CX 3 from Paul in sales almost 4 years ago. It has been my best car ever. It is compact and roomy, high and stable. Last spring Paul helped me to buy it. I say helped because that is exactly what it was like. Paul was not at all pushy and got me great financing.The service department at South Bay Mazda has been great. They are always on time. They provide a video so that I can see any recommended repairs before I authorize. They have a reliable shuttle service. Getting a new lease with South Bay Mazda was the best experience Ive had as a car owner for 40 years. Miguel, the salesman did not pressure us, let us look at all the models available, listened to the terms we wanted and even offered to take our Chevy Equinox included in our down, even though we still had two months left on the lease. The finance person did not try to sell us on any options, rather just explained them and we decided to get the gap coverage . We were in and out in no time, not like the usual two or three hours at other dealers.

A different auto shop messed up my car and installed cracked spark plugs. South Bay Mazda service center quickly diagnosed the problem, and called me suggesting I go back to the previous service center to have them fix it for free (and Kathy told me they wouldn’t even charge me for the diagnosis!) Ultimately I had them just replace the spark plugs because I wanted it done right, but I really appreciated the offer and now my car works like a charm again! Also the free car wash is great!

Decided to purchase this time and went to Galpin first, but was very unimpressed by their tent showroom and by the salesperson who greeted us. Tldr: Staff are nice, but they pushed me to get a warranty and now wont tell me if a battery that corroded in less than 100 miles is covered.Update: A manager reached out to me to talk to me about the problem and even offered me store credit for the battery, even though it turns out it wasnt covered on the warranty. The place is full of really kind people that still care even after you buy the car, it can just be tough to figure things out on the phone apparently.The buying process was as painless as can be. The staff were friendly and informative.However the certified inspection stated that my battery was completely fine. Ive driven the car less than 100 miles and the battery is corroded to the point the car wont start. I cant get a straight answer on if this is covered by any warranty I may have purchased. Instead they have only mentioned the factory warranty instead of looking for the warranty from my purchase. Ironic considering how hard they pushed me to get a warranty more advanced than the one I got.

I bought this car online (from Albuquerque!), and he was patient with all my questions and requests for photos to make sure there was no damage. Very friendly, no nonsense staff both in sales and service dept. They are there to make a deal and sell cars, not jerk you around. Very fair and easy to deal with. Nice, clean, modern brand new facility as well, literally just remodeled a few months ago. My only slight downgrades are that something like oil changes are pretty slow, although comparable to other dealers I suppose. Also when I first purchased my car somehow the finance/title dept mixed up my home address and work address so all my loan invoices, DMV and plates etc kept getting sent to my work which was kinda a PITA to get sorted out. Cabe Toyota was the only 5 star experience I’ve ever had with a dealer, with just a little more attention to detail SB Mazda could be as well. If you want a Mazda tho it’s a great choice to work with.

Went in for my first oil change today under the service contract. Spoke with Jay from the service department. The whole experience was great. Employees all very nice. My car was taken in for an oil change. There is an area you can wait in, but the service took about 1 1/2 hours. I was told this upfront. My husband and I went for a nice lunch while waiting. Received a call the minute this was done and I pick up my newly washed car in short order. Thank you Jay and thank you So Bay Mazda. I am very happy with my CX5. I get compliments on the car and the color all the time. Your service was appreciated!

Excellent service and wonderful adjustments to their operation. I watched the technician handle the car in front of me, he had gloves and mask on and disinfected the door and steering wheel. They then put paper down to limit contact with the car. Instead of having me wait in a waiting room the service manager had his driver take me home and they called me when my car was ready. When I returned everything was done and ready, there was no long lengthy checkout process. Wonderful service!

Was really impressed with the sales service and especially with the vehicles! Even though the place is undergoing renovation, staff was right there to meet us and right on time and ready for our appointment.I set up the appointment online and made some changes based on additional research. They had no trouble making adjustments and the car I wanted to test drive was available, instead of being suddenly not available.When it came to making the purchase, they made a good deal with very little hassle. The rest of the process - financing, paperwork - was a breeze. I LOVE my CX-5 and would highly recommend to any of my friends looking for a new car to give South Bay Mazda a look. It was actually a pleasant car shopping experience, which is saying something.
