Saw this place in the mall and really wanted a fish pancake with ice cream in it. But they ran out of the giant fish waffle cones, so I had to settle for the upside down one instead.I got the Ube+Matcha upside down swirl with custard Ah-Boong. You can get unlimited toppings on it, so I went hog wild with Fruity pebbles, graham cracker crumbs, chocolate sprinkles, cotton candy dust, and a macaron on top.The ice cream was creamy, the custard was on point and delish. I thought the fish dough was underdone and slightly liquidy... until it set a bit and I realized that it was actually a mochi dough! Oo la la!! So Q and yummy! 😋Also got the 5pc Taiyaki to try all the flavors: cheddar cheese, Nutella, taro, custard, red bean + cream cheese. The cheddar cheese tasted just like a scrumptious grilled cheese sandwich. Hot custard was a bit weird at first. The taro paste was thick and oozy, almost like if it had a mochi texture itself.The taiyaki dough also looked a bit underdone at first, but then I realized it had the same mochi filling/texture. Sooo good!!!The dough texture kind of reminded me of a Brazilian cheese bread (Pao de Queijo), but it’s also had a nice crisp crunch on the outside. 5 stars all around, yay!

The ice cream is pretty good. Definitely an interesting take to an ice cream dessert. Menu is hard to understand if you are new to the place. It is kinda hard to eat and the line is usually long but the quality overall is good.

The taiyaki is so good! The best fillings are Nutella and cheddar.

Red bean taiyaki is a classic flavor. Try it if you want to be adventurous!

I enjoy this place more than the other ice cream shops. Theres not many flavors. I recommend Oreo Ice cream with extra Nutella filling and Fruity Pebbles. Service is quick even with a line. The fish shaped come is better than most cones - being more doughy than hard.

Very good quality ice cream, good employees, ice cream has nothing in the center though. But only if you get a cup!

Happened to be in Del Amo Fashion Center today heading to the food court and saw that Somisomi was having their grand opening. It looks like they had a pretty rough start as there were workers all over the place. Important thing is that they were working very hard, very friendly, and that delicious ice cream with waffle cone.If you are craving ice cream and want your waffle or taiyaki (filled pastry) fresh cooked to order, this is the spot.

So glad that Somi Somi opened up in the South Bay at Del Amo mall. I tried their Ube flavor ice cream with custard filling and it was delicious! Its located near the food court and can get pretty busy throughout the day. Its a must try if you shopping around Del Amo mall

Its located near the entrance of the food court inside del amo mall, which is the Korean-inspired soft serve in ornate fish-shaped cones, ordered milk and ube mixed ice cream swirls, on top of crispy taiyaki with taro filling, toppings of crushed oreos and cotton candy crunch.

First time here always wanted to go I decided to treat my Son after a long evening of shopping. I made sure to get an extra spoon To try his and it was tasty we got milk and strawberry flavor with custard topped with cereal !!!I really wished I got my own… I’ll definitely be back.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - got an upside down ahboong with red bean filling, strawberry & milk swirl, Oreo crumbs, and macaron. The taiyaki is premade and hollow and they add the filling based on your ask. It didnt have the crunch since its been sitting but it was soft and nicely chewy. Overall, it was extremely sweet and we could only finish about half of the ice cream before it became overwhelming.Ambience: N/A - in the mall food court. The counter is neat with nice designService: 5/5 - quick and polite at the counter. The girl who made our order was efficient and patient as we decided which toppings to addValue for price: 5/5 - about $6 for the ice cream and taiyaki. It was enough for the two of us and if they have less sweet options, I would definitely consider again.
