Came in for a replacement belt and Cartridge to bring this 40 year old turntable back to life. Dr Dave had everything I needed on the shelf and got it running while I stood there. Grey Guy and a great Store. Old school vibe of the place made me miss the days when we could go to a stereo shop and just stand around BS and talk about Audio Equipment.

Owner and shop = a hoot! Opinionated and knowledgeable about vintage stereo equipment (and other subjects), David can resurrect your ailing turntable or possibly sell you a replacement. Repair service busy; turnaround can be slow.

I don’t know why some people had a negative experience. David and Steve were awesome!!! Very professional. Fixed a complicated issue with y Technics 1300 turntable and installed a cartridge that I purchased elsewhere for free. I highly recommend!

David is one of a kind. Amazing service! He restored my altec Lansing woofers after the rubber started to dry rot and fall apart. Installed the drivers and the speakers are once again accurate and beautiful sounding. Definitely would use him again without hesitation.

This guy knows his stuff. He is honest, straight forward, he will let you know if your equipment can be saved or even if its worth saving. He will know if there are replacement parts or if parts are obsolete. Walking dictionary in his field. Highly recommend!

I read the reviews before heading to Speaker Works. Everything is true David is great at what he does, and he can be abrasive. Heres the deal IMO David is wizard. When one enters the wizards lair, one operates according to the wizards rules. He isnt there to teach you or coach you, you didnt arrive there to be coddled. There are plenty of videos on YouTube one can watch about audio components. Watch those first! Bring your equipment with you if you plan on having it repaired. If you need parts bring the model number. He either has your part readily available or has the ability to get it. Tread lightly in the wizards lair, wizards have dragons at the ready.

BOOO!!! We took a cherished record player in for repair, and it was given to someone else to repair named Steve. Havent received any updates or received our record player back. Dont trust this business with your property!!!!

This place was recommended by a friend! Showed up to an older gentlemen sitting at the desk filled him on what I need which was pretty simple. Easy fix I should say to someone that knows what they are doing! Anyways old guy acted to cool for school like he was above working on my equipment! Really bitter old man, TERRIBLE experience, and a waste of my time! Only give it a 1 star cause I cant give them zero. I took my equipment up to firey bros on Sheridan they had it fixed less than a day!

Over the past 25 to 30 years Ive had David Miller recone guitar amplifier speakers. His work has been uniformly professionally done at fair prices as well. As others have stated David can be a bit prickly but never ugly or abusive.He is valuable resource for us. There are only so many with his experience and and skills in the entire country. David was awesome - installed a new cartridge on my turntable. And the price was very good. Hes a true lover of audio equipment, and is not in business to screw people.

My wife came in looking for a receiver for my birthday to use with a hand me down turntable. David sold us a perfect condition receiver at a great price after fully cleaning and testing it. He also offered to go through the turntable. Unfortunately, he was unable to get it functioning 100%, but refused to accept any payment for his work. I later came back to purchase a better turntable, and he set me up with a far better one which works great. I wont hesitate to come back just for the piece of mind that what he sells is fully serviced with a warranty. A set of speakers is next on the list, and Im confident that whatever I buy will be as good as the receiver and turntable.

They know audio equipment and the audio business. Helped me with resolving an issue when the amp in my Infinity tower speakers died. They didnt make the repairs but they knew the folks who could repair it. Great selection of vintage audio equipment.

Need any speakers fixed? Theres no other place in Tulsa that can do it right. Daves been doing this for about 30 years and knows everything there is to know about speaker repair- also a lot of great vintage gear is for sale here. Ive had 2 pairs of JBLs refoamed and had a tweeter repaired as well; he also cleaned my turntable dust cover for free (its super glossy now!).

Kept both my units, never returned calls and gave one of my units to someone. Acted like he didn’t have two units and deposits even though I had the receipt tags.

Simply the best. Had my vintage Advent subwoofers shipped to Speakerworks to be re-foamed. They came back perfect.

Would leave 6 stars if I could. I have an old set of JL woofers in my SAAB that I love. The surrounds finally gave out. JL said they couldn’t be repaired, and replacements were $200 a piece. David replaced the surrounds and they sound better than ever. David is a master at all things audio. Something like this is hard to find in this day and age of just disposable junk. A+!

David refoamed my Infinity speakers quickly and did an incredible and CLEAN job. If you are expecting a quick in-and-out experience, this is probably not the right place for you. Expect a little chit chat as he knows more about speakers and vintage hi-fi than most. I highly recommend Speakerworks!

After checking tulsa’s “‘record stores” for a for the part to my record player, I heard about this place. One visit and I’m back in business. Didn’t even have to order the part, he had it right there.

I had some Cerwin Vega D1 speakers from 1986 restored. Mr. Miller refoamed them and now they look and sound just like new. The speakers are in mint condition in every way and I am glad I was able to get them repaired and integrated into one of my home theater systems. Dave really knows his vintage equipment. I am going down there today to search for a vintage Marantz receiver.
