Good quality and fairly priced.

Went to have a rolled painted canvas re-stretched after transporting, and they were by far the fastest (within 5 days) and cheapest ($10-15 plus cost of stretcher bars) option we possibly could have found. Blick and Michaels would have taken 2 weeks and ~$150 to do this, but Nickerson & Hills was easy, personable, and reasonable. Great people, great service, and love supporting a locally owned small business.

Friendly and helpful staff, great quality products, and small business charm. I went to Sherwin-Williams for reference and, let me tell you, I will never make that mistake again, as I was made to feel dumb for not knowing what type of paint to use on my walls. Complete disregard for LEAD SAFETY. My friends father has a de-leading license and was telling them to be careful so that the elderly couple that lives in that home avoid that kind of risk. INSTEAD, the workers told him to wait there as they called the cops. Unprofessional, inappropriate, disrespectful.

Nickerson & Hills is a real artists store. It is conveniently located on the west end of Waltham, and its easily accessible from both 128 (I95) and the city.The store itself is packed with everything. This time I needed gold paint. They had just the right thing as used by pro sign painters.Canvasses, pens, paints, more things than I know to ask for, they have.Remember real hardware stores? This feels like that, but with canvasses.

Nickerson & Hills just finished another project at my house staining decks, cleaning and painting my screened in porch, and powerwashing the house. They do geat work! Keith Hills and his crew are very pleasant to work with and very reliable and keep a neat work site. My family (starting with my parents) has been goint to Nickerson and HIlls for paint and wall paper services for 3 generations of HIlls. Russ Sr., Keiths grandfather, started Nickerson & Hills in Waltham in 1952. Highly recommend!
