Beware of food items that have expired datesExample eggs expired on 10/07 and 10/ 14Several in cooler let manager knowWhy the management staff does not check thisPreviously found moldy expired bagelsThey don’t have them anymoreAlso moldy dog biscuitsExpired on sale mayonnaise tooThe board of health should investigateIt is the managers responsibility to inspect and remove expired items this is a health hazard
I didnt even make it to the store because, when I called, the person who answered refused to even check for the specific item I wanted to buy, saying that, if its on the website, its in the store. That is definitely not the case. Wont even bother going in.
The people who work there are amazing and I only hope that when this store closes they transfer or give them a good amount of money to get the same or better work.
It is really convenient to have a local Kmart store. Whenever I need something quick, I can always find it here. Also the price cant be beat, if you remember to use the points and coupons.
My main complaint is that their check out is a slow slow process. Appears that the software on their registers is always malfunctioning. Too bad because KMart has some great things going for it. Have always used their Garden Center, and have purchased small appliances, cleaning products, children’s clothing, and general household items. Again, the checkout process is beyond frustrating - no reflection on the employees who must be frustrated themselves.
I was visiting the town I was born in and had to stop in at this Kmart. There was only one cashier, but I took my question to customer service. I talked with a Frances, and she was extremely pleasant and helpful! Love her sense of humor! She’s a gem!
This store is useless they should just put something here that has good staff and that people actually go to! I bought a pack of gum that was 2 years expired! It is dirty and they have like one cashier
I was on vacation and visited this Kmart the other day and, even though it was very busy, the short blonde supervisor was still pleasant and joking with people. I was VERY pleased with the customer service she provided. She went the extra mile!
Best deals. Love to shop here. Varieties of clothes at a cheaper price. I just love it
Personally, I thought the store was ok! Prices reflect that of a typical department store. Perhaps all those that are whining about the price etc, are just used to Walmart and it’s garbage low priced products. As for the remodel, get over yourselves and slow down on the hgtv programs. Here it is simply put....if ya don’t like it, don’t go back. I for one will visit this store every time I’m in town.
Kmarts closing tomorrow all done over with out of business
Worst customer service ever. Their own employees couldnt even direct me where to go for online order. Computers were down and I couldnt even pick up my order. I cant believe this store is still standing.
I love kmart i shop o kmart everyday and my total price on spending money on kmart is, 998,654 dollers. crazy right?
Its K-mart, which means never enough cashiers, always an unpriced item and frustration as each transaction takes forever with too many questions and option.Everybody click your heels three times and say....Make it a Target, Make it a Target and perhaps our wish will come true. At least Target is more upbeat and the employees more with it.
The stock and staffing issues, etc. at this store have been well reported so no need to beat a dead horse. The store is certainly not perfect, but it should be valued for what it is. There is nothing like this store anywhere within at least 1/2 hour of Acton. And the hours are great. Try buying anything in this town (that CVS doesnt carry) at 8:30 PM on a weekday or even a Saturday without going to Kmart. The same people who complain about this store are the ones who will bemoan its loss if it closes.
Love the products, love the prices. The store needs to be upgraded, lighting, floors, ceilings!
Missing the 90s? Go into this place. There used to be a lunch counter, if you peek through the door in the room full of mattresses you can see remains of it.
Not the best Kmart Ive ever seen, slow service. Always have to wait in long lines to buy anything. Conveniently located however the prices are usually high for most items.
Kmart employees are slow and to say they are unhelpful is an understatement. It takes at least 30 minutes to check out weather their is a long or short line. Customer service is awful. Don’t help and if they don’t know they don’t offer to get anyone to help you. Not surprised they are closing.
Atrocious service. Be extremely careful at checkout. You will typically be overcharged, points not applied.
Empty...poor Kmart, a staple of a store that I grew up with is now just a skeleton of what they used to be. What a shame. Soon my grandchildren will not even have malls to go to never mind brick & mortar.
Standard Kmart experience. Very nice checkout person. Need to modernize store and provide self checkout lanes since never enough checkout people.
Super convenient. You have to go to Hudson or Marlborough for a closer Target or Walmart (I think). Prices though are hit or miss and they no longer really do electronics.. Some TVs and basic things. And the check out is so slow its maddening. But again its convenient, they have a decent variety of items and the eccentric staff is generally helpful.
Hate to say this but this store has gone downhill very quickly. Went to buy bark mulch in the garden center but there was no one there to help. So I went inside to find someone, only to find out that he couldnt run the register and that Id have to go up front, pay for it, then go back and hope hed still be there to load it into my car. Its not a small store either. Ok so I went up front... One cashier and 20 people in line, long line at service desk, lots of very unfortunate people carrying swimming pools and garden stuff. Manager says they have no help. I didnt stick around because I had other things to do but now will have to go elsewhere.Ive heard rumors that this store will be closing. Sad to hear that but if they dont have the right amount of helpful staff I guess that will happen. I used to but a lot in the garden shop but if I have to go thru hoops to purchase something its no longer workw my time.
Horrible service. Long lines. Employees are either clueless or so weird looking youd rather not talk to them. Lousy selection. The ONLY reason to go there is they are cheap.
Most people do not believe that purgatory is a literal place. But I have seen it, and its name is Acton Kmart. One wanders through the desolate husk of a store that was once clearly packed with savings—its aisles now holding little but memories of what could only have been better days. Every surface is just dirty enough to let you know that once, long ago, someone cared to keep it clean. The prices are uninspiring, but not unfair, and if it’s 8:13 on a Thursday night and you need a new towel, Acton Kmart is there, waiting patiently with something that’s technically adequate enough to sell you.In the 80s, I imagine, this place held the promise of weekly deals and heated conversations over budgets and bargains, but now the neigh-crumbling store plays host to an oppressive, morose and nearly crushing atmosphere of resigned mediocrity. Indeed, if you visit, you will have plenty of silence in which to contemplate the choices that have lead you to enter this place, as even though it is the only Big Box game in town, there are seldom many other shoppers to be found. My only explanation is that this store owes its continued existence to a database error--that corporate has forgotten it entirely. Or perhaps it holds onto its existence out of some collective analog to pity held by those high up at Kmart, unwilling to put down a dog now too mangled by fate to love. Each time I park at the Acton Kmart, I steel myself. I tell myself that it cannot be as bad as I remember, that no department store could possibly warrant such a review. Then I enter its automated threshold and it all rushes back to me—like returning to a dream half forgotten, neither bliss, nor nightmare, but mundanity distilled into a physical nexus of lackluster consumerism under the spell of necromantic undeath. The workers there are the sorts of souls forever trapped in limbo: some friendly, some angry, but every one of them tired. I am often tempted to ask them what they’re “in for”, as if it were a true prison, but I’m afraid that they’ve heard that one before. I’m even more afraid that they’ll tell me. I wish that I could help them.Above its doors it should read, in old sun-spared paint behind where block letters once stood: Abandon All Hope Ye Who Are Employed Here. Then again, I doubt anyone could need a reminder.
Kmart seemed to me a third world countrys scam shop. Let me explain why. They give you offers like spend $35 to earn $15 in points. Now say you have earned the point. Now when you want to use the points for futute purchase, you will find out during the checkout that there are some additional conditions on reedeming the points like you have to spend certain amount bla bla bla. Compared to Target or Walmar, Kmart is already overpriced. I have never seen such convoluted discount offers at Target, Walmart, Amazon or any other stores or online for that matter. This is kind of business tricks I found in third world countries. Never going to Kmart again!
Store is closing. Not much left but great buys!
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Literally got hung up on twice and was told that a product was in stock. Come to find out after a 20 minute drive over, the incompetent and rude customer service guy had no idea what to look for or didnt check at all. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN ALREADY.
Store seems to have improved a lot, Well stocked, Neat Bathrooms, Neat display Economical price
Had to actually print a digital coupon for them to accept it, they wouldnt scan my phone. Had to go back to work, print it & then drive back & hand them paper! Its 2017 kmart, get with it
Service was really good, but selection and atmosphere not great
Very good promotion and a lot new staff
Its okay, just doesnt seem to ever have the things I need. Went there for swim diapers and a sun hat for my niece... nothing!
Decent stuff. Like a lower priced Sears.
Used to have general foods but is currently in the process of closing.
Got what I needed but they really need to hire some more help. Long line and it was midmorning.
Came in to look around with my mother we ended up picking out a few things to buy. As we got in lines we were waiting and were having a conversation until we turned around and realized the checkout clerk had left the station. we looked around for 5 minutes to realize that she had went to another register and was helping another line of people. My mother walked over and asked her why she went to another line to which she replied rudely that the computer froze so she left. She NEVER told us she was switching to another station which would have been the appropriate thing to do. After that with the second clerk helping us was equally as rude and decided to give us attitude about the transaction. All in all they need to work on their staffs attitude and how they handle customers especially when the staff alone had already frustrated the customers. there was no need to escalate the issue.
Its a Kmart. What else can you say?
The store is not following the rules for online order pickup (Bring this email and your photo ID). They just released my orders to someone with the same last name. I have 4 orders that were picked by the same person. The store told me to solve the issue by myself. They cannot do anything about it.
Its always very warm in the store
Shopping here is no joy but its close and many times they have what I want. Checkout lines usually too long.
Incompetent staff... very rude customer service... unable to explain how things work in their own system... avoid shopping here!
I went in to buy two items. Neither was available, so I picked up a few other items and got in line. It was the only open register, and there were six people in line. After five minutes of watching the person at the head of the line haggle over a $3.00 discount, I gave up and went home. I tell this story not because its unusual, but because its typical.
I am glad they are closing this store, I went there to buy a canopy for a party I was having and I wanted to split the cost on 2 cards. They took 28 off on one then the full amount off of the other card. The cashier sent us to customer service and the lady told me there was nothing they could do until the bank opens and we call them I Just wanted to refund everything after fighting with them to return the 28$ they finally refund everything. We are a week later and have to go back because it still not refunded in my account.
I used to have good memories of here as a child, but Ive noticed the owners horrible attitude and the customer service staffs incompetence. Besides that, they have ok prices and selection.
Often out of stock, not clean, understaffed
The staff here is completely rude.....the lines are always long ...Forget about them helping you look for something follow wherever their finger was pointing
Everyone knows this store has inconsistent stock and slow checkout lines. My last visit was horrible, as expected, but its close to my house.
Death was inevitable for this execrable chain.
Not organized, old store, long lines
Great service always
Its a hit or miss on checkout time, plan accordingly. Strict return policy
Sad! Closing and empty
They removed the video game section and most of the elctronics
Absolutely terrible service. Typically only one register open with a long line. Shelves with empty spaces for missing merchandise, items with no price on them.
Basically decent, long lines at the register.
