Very easy to work with and patient as I made them test several scenarios and instead of me having to spend time on the phone with the cameras support team, they did it all for me. Let me just say WOW!! I had a small issue with a used DVR . I was u able to rest unit due to prior owners password. I ordered a code that would help reset DVR. Before the codes arrived, by like 10mins I received an email checking on my progress with this issue. I tried the codes sent to me and no of them would work. So I emails as directed to do if I had issues. I also responded to the rep that had checked on everything. I had a very timely response informing me that he would make sure that different codes would be sent. With in the next 2hrs I had the code sent from the rep I had been corresponding with. The codes worked. I have also had several more email from Gary. Gary seems to be truly dedicated to helping with getting things right for his customers,very friendly and time conscious. These are traits that for the most part that have disappeared from customer service.I would highly recommend A1 Security Cameras to anyone interested in getting or expanding a security system.Don Moore

Revising this post:Received a call from a very polite person from A1 Security Cameras apologizing for the call and the way it was handled. They offered to review the order and propose a solution that might work for our business. I appreciated the feedback in response to this post and have raised my review as a result.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I purchased several items from A1 Security Cameras which were advertised on their website. I was called a day or two later and told that they did not in fact have those items and I would be required to wait 4-8 weeks for them to restock.I asked to have the remainder of the order be sent and was told I had to buy all of them or none of them. Totally unreasonable since they are advertised for sale without any indication of a 1-2 month delay online.My order has been canceled and I do not intend to do business with this company again. Very disappointing!

Choosing A1 Security was one of the smartest consumers choices Ive made after three failed attempt with the three top of the line systems Costco was selling. So after searching for a better quality security system I came across A1 Security and was quite overwhelmed with the selection and high quality equipment and thought they would be out of my means, but thought I would phone and get more info. I talked with a gentleman named Tony and I explained my needs and budget and it wasnt long before we had a system to suit my needs with room for additional cameras and enough memory as well as a Minuteman Power supply in case of a power outage, and the best thing is its a family operated business and when you want tech support you will end up talking with them and not someone in a overseas foreign country reading out of a manual.I ended up having my doubts about the product after about a year and a half as the system was not sending alerts anymore even after factory resets and so I just gave up and figured just another inferior product and couldnt be bothered again, as it still recorded just had to manually check for incidents.Well recently I had some equipment moved to consolidate everything in one cabinet and after moving some wires I had found a rodent had chewed through the main CAT6 for internet which shut down alerts. I phoned A1 and end up talking to Tony agaian who remembered me and I told him what happened and he sent me two new CAT6 cables free of charge, and said phone tech and they will help get me set back up for alerts and whatever else. THANKS AGAIN to Tony and the rest of the crew at A1 Security!UPDATE: Tony had arranged for a tech support person from Hikvision phone me to help get the most out of my system and I never knew what the full capabilities were with this system and blown away and stoked. We spent a half hour or so and he set up my computer and my iphone with apps that now allow access to cameras when and where ever I am. Absolutely superb and huge thank again Tony and time to look at more cameras to add now, PTZ maybe next.

Ryan and his team did another outstanding job installing cameras at my grandfathers house. The cameras are discreet and offer the security angles desired. We previously used A1 for a large commercial job and were very satisfied with the quality of support. I highly recommend A1 to anyone looking to install security cameras residential or commercial.

We had some wireless cameras installed, but the software kept breaking down,. Tim the courteous and competent technician, installed updated software and we were back in business. The cost was very reasonable too.

I contacted A1 to get 2 additional cameras and a new DVR installed. They were booked out a couple of weeks but on the day of the appt they installed the cameras and new DVR, but they didnt bring required power supplies for the cameras. It took another couple of weeks before they were able to come back out and install the power supplies and get everything up and running. Shortly afterward I needed some tech support related to unbinding my account, and that proved to be a headache in itself. Fortunately, Michelle stepped in and quickly got me taken care of. Bottom line, they may be booked out a bit but their people are friendly and knowledgeable, and their customer service is great. Highly recommend!

Ryan and his team were great during the entire process of implementing a new camera system for our 6 building campus. From the time I spoke with Ryan, he spoke with professionalism and respect and truly gave us his opinion on what he thought we needed. I engaged salesman Gary McConnel in early June. Although a like able guy, the ensuing service provided was a total joke. It took 3 to 4 weeks until installer Tim made it to my house. Tim proceeded to install my new NVR, made several adjustments to my existing system and replace one old camera that has IR problems. After 3 to 4 hours of work, Tim failed to fully complete the simple project after mistakenly not ordering a component to the new system that enables existing camera network to communicate with new NVR. As a result, Tim proceeded to unwind all of his work and attempted to restore my existing system to its original state. He could not provide a date and time to return to my house. Shortly after departure and taking 6 worthless hours off work to babysit his efforts, I noticed that my onscreen mouse no longer worked and 5 or 6 cameras on my existing system no longer were functioning. For those new to surveillance, the onscreen mouse allows you to view your cameras from a large screen and engage with each camera via mouse and picture zoom.My backstory is I have approximately 40 surveillance cameras of all types blanketing my property including a highly sophisticated license plate camera. To boot, I am CFO and owner of high end surveillance units or unattended ground sensors that we sell to the US Government or many 3 letter agencies.Tim returned to my house today to finish the job today after 3 to 4 weeks since last visit. A similar outcome of what I described above happened again. Many cameras remain offline and none of the work has been executed.In summary, I guess I should have never answered A1 Security’s sales call? It is too bad as I had $00,000 of future work for them. My system remains a fraction of my prior state with no closure on when Tim will return.A1’s actions leave me no choice but to fire them and leave this ugly Google review. We had selected the digital Watchdog recorder and cameras. A1 had a hard time configuring the system and getting it to work so we requested that they remove and replaced that with something that is easy to configure and use via wifi and remotely. Michelle worked with us to get all the issues resolved and replace the entire system with the LTS recorder and Ocular cameras. The installers Troy and Dylan patiently set up the system and configured it followed by basic training explaining how it works and answering all of our questions patiently. They also cleaned up all the cables and wiring before they left. Great job from the team. We are very appreciative of the support and service they provided.

A1 Security Cameras installed a 4MP system at my home on May 7th, 2019 with six(6) perimeter cams, one(1) inside garage cam, and one(1) inside home cam. Installers Emanuel, Israel, and Troy did a great job and were easy to work with. I now have a complete perimeter view of my home with high image clarity/definition. Based on my experience with this Company, I would endorse A1 Security Cameras as a good choice for camera system purchase and installation.

I definitely know why you guys are called A1. What a company! This review is bittersweet. The reason I say this is bittersweet is because I spent a week and a half in complete frustration that was 100% caused by my security cameras, the lack of support that I got from the original installers, and the lack of competence that many companies that “claim” to be superior security/camera installation companies. After going through 6 different companies and spending hundreds of dollars, I decided to contact A1 Security to look into my situation. Without getting too technical, 4 of the 6 camera companies stated that I could not view my cameras remotely because the internet provider could not open my ports. 2 of the 6 camera companies recommended that I purchase an entire new system for $3,500-$4,000. This completely overlooked the fact that my cameras are a few years old, and it cost me $4,500 for them. In a last-ditch effort, I reached out to A1 Security. The first rep I dealt with was Juan. Although A1 was booked with other installations, he took the time out to listen to my concerns and came up with some solutions. One his proposed solutions was to speak with one of their technical reps, Tony, and have him do a remote troubleshoot for $200. If the issue could not be resolved, they would not charge me. I was a bit skeptical since I already been through 6 companies, who charged me, but did not resolve my problem. Since I was told from other companies that my only option was to replace my camera system, I decided to have Tony remotely troubleshoot. Interestingly, at the time he began troubleshooting, there was another technician from another company who assured me that he would be able to get the job done. That technician’s assurance turned out to be false. Conversely in 45 minutes, Tony had managed to fix my issue. As a business owner and consumer, I can tell you that this is one of the best experiences that I’ve had in a long time. Save yourself the headache and frustration by going with A1 Security, if you are looking to have a camera system installed, or if you are having issues with your current camera system. They know what they are doing. On a side note, I’ve worked in law enforcement for more than 15 years. It is very important when dealing with security cameras and personal information that you have a company you can trust. I provided Tony and the company with sensitive information for the business, and I did not feel that this information would be compromised. I am secure in the level of competence and, most importantly, integrity that the team at A1 Security exemplified. Again, thank for helping us out on short notice. I will definitely call you first, if a need arises.

Great cameras, I got 6 of the HIKvision bullet outdoor cameras, they are really awesome with great pictures very clear. Customer service was outstanding, the A1 crew installed and setup the NVR recorder and also setup the APP on my phone and my wifes phone and showed us how to use them. There is a lot of hype going on with security camera systems. I have been quoted outrageous prices for worthless systems. With Ryan at A-1, I got a little more than what I was expecting. He quoted the best system for the best price hands down. His tech Carlos was able to answer every question I had, do an efficient job with installation, and teach me how to use the system. The previous company I used did an install and basically left me to figure out the system. So, my only issue was wishing that I found A-1 a few years ago. There work exceeds my expectations.

I have purchased many Vivotek security cameras from A1. The cameras Ive chosen are commercial-grade cameras and it shows. But also the support/service I have received over the years has been top notch. Last weekend, a thunderstorm was VERY close and all of a sudden a number of cameras stopped working. I was having trouble finding the cause and was regretting that maybe my surge protectors did not protect the cameras as designed. Two cameras were not working. I purchased one from A1. So, I reached out asking about warranty/repair options. They responded within a couple of hours with a very can-do attitude. Soon after their email, I figured out that the camera was fine. (My problem was actually with my PoE device.)So, this review is both for Vivotek and A1. I have been using Vivoteks products since the early 2000s when they manufactured cameras for Toshiba. These cameras are awesome. They are very durable. I have some that weather a Maine winter without fail. And others weather a Florida summer (days with 100% humidity are brutal to electronics). Since moving to Florida three years ago, every time I think my camera is dead, the issue is something else. The cameras just work.

I made the mistake of purchasing UniFi hardware for a business project from A1 which was intended for resale. They billed my card and never sent me a receipt until I contacted their accounting. In hindsight, wouldve been $1,400.00 less to buy direct from the UniFi store.
