I had given a good review to this store before but I am now disappointed. The store has expired products and when we raised concerned to the shops owner he said that it was our responsibility to check for this stuff. One product even had big mold on it too[1]. I think that this is not true. Please when buying here try to watch out and not trust any thing. For me trust for patel brothers is diminished. I will take my business somewhere else.[1] - Picture 4

Fantastic shop, I always go here for spices and lentils, they sell these in larger quantities and at better prices than most other grocery stores. Their produce is always very good, and its the only place I know in the area where I can find canned mango pulp

This is not ’the Patel store ’ that one is used to seeing in Atlanta or New Jersey: Its more like a mom and pop store. The upkeep of the store is very poor and the parking lot is unclean. The selections are limited and some items are overpriced.. The store is not well. organized overall. The staff is very very rude and they have no real understanding of customer service. They speak with you in a disparaging way. Also, be careful at the register and make sure you check your receipt. The only reason go to this store is because of its proximity. I was a bit shocked to see the sorry state of this store after shopping at Patel Brothers in Atlanta for many years which is exceptional. This store has a long way to go! Has potential but needs a lot of work- inside out and outside in.

Never leave the store without checking your receipt(check them inside store or car, but do it).Ive been going to this store and Big Bazaar for 6/7 years, and never checked the receipt from this place. Today I was looking at price for something that I bought last week. They put extra quantity than I got. I had only 3 cilantro bunches, but was charged for 10. If 4/5 then understandable but 10.

Many Indian/Pakistani stores sell expired stuff. And on any other day this is fine since we can just return it. But today I found that the local Indian store sells stuff that has a fake date of manufacture on it. This Khara puri that I bought was labeled packed on March 2020 and is best before 9 months. When we opened this up, it tasted gross. Turns out there’s a label on the underside of this label and has the date of packaging crossed out. God knows how old this is. On a regular day I could just complain and get my money refunded. But this store has a no-return policy due to covid. This is absolutely unacceptable. I hope the authorities do a proper check of this place and see if their labeling is legit.

If there is a chain of Indian grocery stores, this may be the One to shop at. Very good prices generally. High quality items, fresh produce, of many local and Asian variety. Well kept, stock and facilities. I recommend this location, its well worth the extra travel we have to take.

You can get most of the Asian(Nepali, Indian) groceries and kitchen stuff there in a good price range. The place is little constricted hence it was little hard to maintain 6 ft of distance during the pandemic all the time. Just remember that they are closed on Monday. I went their once on Monday and regretted. Not a lot of traffic and Parking is okay. My favorite is Red Level Tea and Lizzat papad.

I cant believe anyone would rate this place higher than one star. Have you seen this place? It looks worse than places in india. The maintenance is terrible and they put things together so cheaply; its really a disgrace to the community. The parking lot has trash all over like a slum. The blinds look destroyed. Its just a sad scene. Also, no manners from the staff here--all they care about is selling cheap nonsense with no upkeep; doing the bare minimum to earn a profit. Sad part is...theres no shame from the management. No incentive to improve anything.

The guy at the the cash counter (I guess the owner) did not want to insert my credit card in chip slot instead swiped it. He said that customers did not want to use chip because it takes longer for card approval than swiping. I said but it was important for security of our private information, and that is why US banks have introduced chip, but he repeated the same sentence. Now, who does that in the USA? Mr. Patel will you jeopardize peoples private information for your own hurry and comfort? It makes me think that an Indian will always be an Indian no matter in India or in the USA. Let me tell you one thing; if my personal information is stolen, I will direct authorities to you because so far no on in this country has ever forced me to swipe instead of inserting in chip slot. I will tell them that it was you who ignored my request to use my card in chip slot.

Patel Brothers is next to a building that looks abandoned/empty. This makes it seem like theyre always closed. However, they are in fact open, just find the door on the side.Patel brothers is a gem, the owner has really positioned himself within the community in the neighborhood and offers items that even Lotte market doesnt have. For people not familiar with Indian markets I really recommend you give them a visit at least for basic spices. If the spice youre looking for is something also used in indian cooking you can expect to pay anywhere from 3-4x less than your supermarket price for things like tumeric and pepper. The spices also tend to be fresher and of higher quality than what McCormick would provide.
