The best grinders in the area. Fresh bread, high quality deli meats, and plenty of options to choose from. Cash only, so bring plenty as they have so many other Italian specialties to purchase. Parking is tricky and downright dangerous depending on the spot you choose and the time of day. I recommend parking in the parking lot across the street and walking over if you concerned.

Im from Boston and was traveling through Agawam with a friend, stopped at Pajers for a sandwich. Their service and quality exceeds any place Ive ever visited. They make the VERY BEST sandwiches!You got to check them out!

Pajer’s is a most stop for every looking for great food. The deli, prepared foods, and grocery selection is the best quality in the area. I live over an hour away and I’m always looking for an excuse to stop by. I can’t say enough about their grinders - amazing! The only problem is choosing which one I want.

I moved to Agawam with my now late husband and 3 daughters in 2017. Because of his work. we kept driving by Pajers to take him to work.Sign in the window said cash only we never had cash and didnt operate our finances that way. So heard they had good subs but just never went out of our way to get the cash. Lost him 6 weeks after we moved.. then Yesterday 3+ years later i wanted a Pajer sub. I called and ordered ahead. She kept saying You want a small? And id say no 4 large...well we only have hot capicola. Well good otherwise its just ham.. lol..I pick them up about an hour later. And i get 4 HUGE 18 long by 3 thick about 4 or 5 wide. Abour $14 a sub. But it was my 43rd birthday and I wanted a Pajers sub experience. So i splurged. My 13 yr old got pickles on her turkey. And mmmmm the turkey has flavor mom and The pickles are sooo good. But could only eat half of a half. My other dayghter added roast beef to her Turkey and was glad it was wasnt the bloody kind. Also could barely eat it. Then my oldest and I bit into our capicolas. They couldnt warm hers like she wanted, but that was fine. I somehow finished halfof mine but we saved the rest for lunch today. Still the best subs I have had in about 20 years. Amazing SUBS. Think there was 2 pounds of meat on each!! Definitely worth having the cash! They have pasta and a little Italian grocery store items too. The parking lot is a bit tricky being by the crazy lights. But walk if you have to! Just get to this amazing sub shop.!

We stopped in today to buy homemade meatballs and sauce. Added deli meat and cheese as well as bread! Prices extremely reasonable and staff very nice. Face masks a must and patrons careful about respectable distancing.. only caution...CASH ONLY accepted.. Enjoy this community market...its one of the best.

Loved the place for years because of the Good variety but stopped going because 3 weeks in a row macaroni salad was sour and awful smelling. Obviously kept too long. Same with sliced meats all have been sold after expiration date and smell a little tainted.

Bought a grinder here once a week for twenty years. Talked a friend into splitting one today, we called and ordered a cold large Italian grinder with provolone lettuce tomato olive oil and vinegar. We get there and they havent even made it. They forgot. Okay, hey, things happen. Oops. I wait, they make it, I pay and leave.At home, we go to eat it and its swimming in warm mayonnaise. Anybody like warm mayonnaise? I call and ask why they put mayonnaise on my grinder and the kid says, thats how it was ordered. I said I was in the vehicle when the order was made and we definitely did NOT ask for mayonnaise.Mike comes on and says a whole bunch of stuff, said the order slip was faded or whatever, but hell make me another grinder for free next time.If this is your idea of lettuce and tomato on a grinder that you made...keep your free grinder.

I would give negative stars if I could! We drove over half an hour because I heard their grinders are huge. Thats the only positive I can give. I ordered on the way because its 90° out wanted to get back home fast. We get there and they didnt even make the grinder yet I ordered Italian grinder NO mayo with oil and vinegar with lettuce and tomatoes. $12 later long drive home and we open it and its covered in Mayo! hardly any oil and vinegar! The first half only had 2 see through tomatoes slices. Hardly any lettuce. The cheese is so thin couldnt even taste it. Mayo tasted spoiled because of the oil and vinegar.My bf cant eat Mayo so he doesnt even get to eat anything.If youre going to make huge grinders then put some lettuce and tomatoes on it and LISTEN to what the Customer wants!!!

Huge classic subs, a large could probably feed a family of four. If we are in the area for a hike or such, my husband and I will each order a small, eat half and save half for later in the day. I worked in downtown Springfield for a couple years and would scoot over to Pajers for a grinder every now and then. Heard about it from the MassLive segment on best grinders in Western Mass. They werent kidding... I grew up in the Hartford area with Franklin Grinders as a baseline. Pajers is probably the best cold grinder Ive ever had. Doesnt matter if its Hot Capicolla, Combo, Turkey, etc. Never disappointed by Fred and company.

First time ever going here. I pulled in to the parking lot. Was shocked at how small it was. I got closer to a potted plant then I intended yet I didnt hit it. I repositioned my car in a better position. I walked inside with my son and was told to watch how I drive in the parking lot. To not get so close to the plants. Heard they had someone drive into the building. Ok ok. I get that but dont talk down to a customer about how he parks considering hes never been there before and guess what. Im never going back.
