Definitely a different type of diner I’m used to. But this place was delicious. Loved the Kimchee fried Rice, it also wasn’t too spicy so you’re able to enjoy eating it. My kids loved there Breakfast we ended up ordered a side of sausages togo. My mom is basic so she had the side of eggs and hash brown for breakfast. I would come here again.

We had the magic mushroom burger, Wasabi Cucumber burger, & Sistahs patty melt. They were ok, nothing fantastic to rave about. We also had the garlic fries & cajun fries. The cajun flavor was good but the garlic wasnt as good. The staff was nice and pleasant.

Nothing special. Service was a bit slower than we expected for a diner. But overall food was good.

Its a diner. If you have any expectations for fine dining you should probably go elsewhere. The food was hot and fresh. The fried rice could have been better. Other than that, the service was good the staff friendly. It was fast and straight forward. If you need a quick bite and good service this is the place to go.

This is hands down my favorite local place to eat in Oahu. I primarily come for the breakfast, but had lunch once as well.The servers are always friendly and wonderful. The coffee is delicious (favorite diner coffee Ive had on the island so far). But most importantly, the portions are large and delicious. I go 1-2 a week for their breakfasts and dare I say....its the highlight of my week (other than getting a fresh hairct) to have a big meal and chug some coffee.Its impossible to recommend an item because Ive loved everything Ive had. You cant go wrong with anything here. Havent used it yet, but there is a full bar and TVs for sports on weekends as well. Do the right thing and tip your servers. I look forward to eating here every weekend.

Service is great here. Lots of tables so wait time is not too bad. Kids menu that kids love. Any time of the day this place is yummy and you can find something you will want to eat.

Excellent macadamia pancakes, and breakfast selections. The door staff managed seating assignments with great care. Manager Nani is a diamond of an employee, she is gracious, wise, and exudes Aloha in every conceivable sense.Visit if youre hungry, theyre effort and effective care during these Covid times was better than I expected.Straight As.

Great selection of local and international dishes. When I say international, Im talking about a mix of Japanese and Korean fusion dishes. And they serve breakfast dishes all day.

Portions were big and food was flavorful.

Chelsea and her crew are great! They take care of you and make you feel at home. TVs for sports watching and a relaxed atmosphere. One of my dad Bennys favorite places for breakfast. Aiea Big City is awesome!

I got the salmon, rice, and vegetable plate for lunch, and it was hot and fresh. It could use a little more seasoning, as it barely tastes as if it has anything more than a sprinkle of salt (nothing else), when a little black pepper does a body good.

The food here was amazing, we got 4 different dishes and all 4 of them were excellent. The mushroom gravy for the pork chops should be illegal, its sinful. Meatloaf was very good, garlic mashed potatoes some of the best Ive ever had.

He was upbeat, personable, and listened to our questions and made some good suggestions (like mushroom gravy with the hamburger steak 🤤).The establishment seems to be taking COVID precautions.

I continue to be unimpressed by BCD at any location. Ordered online and food was ready as promised. The shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. The steak was tasteless. The BCD burger was ok. Same as steak, could have used a little more seasoning. The pork chops tasted ok. Kind of dry and the cut was VERY thin. The gravy saved it. For the prices we paid it was a disappointing meal.

Saw their sign outside for a keto menu. Turned around to go inside as we are keto and thought this was great. Parked and walked inside and stood waiting to be seated with barely any patrons in the restaurant, maybe 5 or so in a building probably big enough to hold 100. Approx 10 minutes goes by and we are seated and given menus. We quickly notice the menus given did not have any keto items on there, so when the waiter arrived again shortly later we mentioned the sign we saw about the keto menu. The waiter advised there was a different menu for the keto items and proceeded to walk off to retrieve the new menu. The waiter comes back to the table with two keto menus and lays them down in front on both of us and then turns and walks away giving us time to look them over. Seeing that things are not only not very appetizing looking but also priced well over double what the meals should be costing. After deliberating for a few moments about what to order we actually decided to just leave. We hadnt ordered anything, however between the weird smell, sticky menus and run down booths that you feel like you will fall through there is no way we could stay.

Fast service, great food, great atmosphere. Visited this location with my son and we enjoyed the garlic fries and wings for a small lunch. The food was very good. They have gluten free options and those are noted on the regular menu. We will definitely be back.

09/14/2021 we were refused to dine in because they dont have a scanner for vaccine QR code. Whats the point of this program that was to be in effect 9/13/2021 if we still have to carry paper vaccine card.

Fantastic take out service during these Covid times. Staff was very friendly, and helpful. Ordering area was spotless. Parking was not an issue. The Big City Diners provide consistent quality food with great service.

Ate here today and ordered baby back ribs half slab. It was a bit dry. Ate here before and it was fine. The two margaritas I had was great though!

Good restaurant to eat at. Ambiance is a Diner experience. Theres a bar area to eat at. There are numerous TVs to watch from broadcasting sports to local channels. The staff is very helpful in providing information about the meal youre ordering. Great service and good food.

Service was good, food was good, but they were out of a lot of items. Decor like a 50s diner. The li hing mui margarita was especially good.

Valentines Day take out was great. Although they were very busy they managed to whip up some excellent tasting prime rib cut and salmon salad. They also through in fish and chips for good measure followed by beautifully detailed tiramisu cake.Well done gang.👍

Great place to just relax and enjoy! Had wonderful service from Andrew & got to sit back and watch the NBA championship playoff...Enjoyed a magic mushroom burger with garlic fries & my daughter had the Ms. Teri burger with chocolate shake. If you havent tried the guava iced tea, then you must! Always a favorite of mine :)

Front house is always welcoming and attentive. Food is good too and never late with my orders and always hot.

Due to Covid-19: staffing/employees are so few, it has been tough on BCD no one wants to work Its understandable with Covid-19 delta variant triple digits rising daily. What a pleasant surprise! Classic diner vibe, good food, good service, good prices, large portions. $23.84 for breakfast for 2. Skip the overpriced tourist dives and enjoy a great breakfast at the Big City Diner.

The food and service was good however the outside area where we were seated was questionable. There was outdoor blinds/curtains that kept banging because of the strong winds. It was very distracting during our meal. Also the blinds looked dirty and not well maintained.

Its ok. Tastes and feels just like a Diner.

I ordered the Monterey chili chicken sandwich and a side of chili. Very good flavor, the sandwich had a full roasted red pepper on it! Chili was also very tasty. Great lunch spot!

Went there tonight, and I was super hungry. When Im super hungry, I want everything and I become very indecisive. Charles was our server and he was very patient. When I could not decide on what I wanted to eat, he asked me what I my choices was. Then he suggested a meal with a few changes to accommodate my indecisiveness. Were calling it Braddah Charles Loco Moco. So its the loco moco, with Uncle Dannys fried rice, mushroom gravy, and crispy onions as toppings. I thought it was amazing. Thank you Charles for your suggestion AND being a fantastic waiter!!!!!! Oh and I still got a not so big oreo sundae.

I waited almost 40 minutes for my food which does not seem to be complicated. The food was alright but service was garbage. I would understand the wait time if they were slammed but there were a lot of people standing around.

We went for breakfast, great food and service.

Best dining experience Ive had on island, and Ive lived here since 2011. Yesterday was the second time Ive visited this location, and my meal was so good that I had to give a review.The appetizer to order is definitely the tempura calamari. Although every meal is delicious, I would suggest the paniolo burger. These are hands down the best hamburgers in... honestly, anywhere! Teddys has nothing on this place. The only suggestion I would have is to update the decor. So, to get this place updated, lets all support them by eating here as much as possible.

Great food. I love the Mamasan meat loaf.

The relatively high prices and Hawaiian music kind of make it feel like you’re eating at the airport. But the service is good and the food quality is high. I’d say hit up the happy hour to give it a try. Diner decor makes it feel like a breakfast joint. Probably Wouldn’t have dinner here.

Great club sandwich. If your departing flight gets delayed at the airport, this diner and the Pearlridge Mall are a good place to go to wait not too far from the Airport.

This location of Big City Diner has the same excellent menu but the eating environment is truly cold and unpleasant with a radio constantly blaring annoying commercials. If you go, take the food out.

There are limited dining options in Pearl City, Big City Diner is one of the better options. Typically I order the salmon sandwich which is always good but tonight I ordered the Malibu chicken sandwich, a grilled chicken breast with avocados green chiles and a garlic aioli. It was excellent. My wife had the ribs tonight, the small portion was very generous, the barbecue sauce is slightly sweet. We had excellent service from the staff which is typical of BCD.

The food was good. The server was quick, accurate and prompt with serving. Cant complain.

My favorite breakfast place. Big City Diner gives the small town experience. The food is delicious. The staff is friendly. The place has a great vibe. This Big City Diner is a little hidden. It is located on the same property of the old Toys R Us. Parking is a breeze. Walking to the front entrance is a little bit of a challenge because of the length of the handicap ramp. Be careful when crossing to it. Plenty of vehicle traffic.

Always a good place for local comfort food. Restaurant is taking precautions to keep total diner (people) capacity low and tables socially distanced (11/20/20).

Large variety of food. Sunday brunch menu. Went before noon and was seated within 2 minutes. Prices and food good.

So nice to be able to done it again. Our waiter, Kie, was attentive, checked our table several times after our food came and was just overall congenial. I had the pulehu steak with onions and mushrooms, my son had the veri-teri hamburger steak and my husband had the southwestern cobb salad. All was super delish cause there was no sound except chewing! No room for dessert although the sundaes are too die for.Great meat at Big City Diner. 👍

The Garden Veggie Burger here is probably one of the best veggie burgers I have ever had! The consistency was great and the Garlic fries on the side really topped it off! Also, our waiter was great and always ensured drinks were topped off. Wife and I will definitely continue coming back weekly!

Big City Diner at Pearlridge was really great. Went there with my high school classmates to eat and enjoy each others company. The food was really good as usual, but I was happy to see that they had Vegan dishes on the menu. I ate the egg whites with vegetables and tofu omelet and brown rice. It was so good. So I give them 5 stars. I know Ill go back for the dinner menu.

We had lunch here yesterday; 1) it has easy access for wheelchairs and, 2) the service is really good. Our food arrived quickly and was really well prepared. Plenty of parking and easy to find. This was our first time at this location and like all BCDs the high quality of the food and service is predictable.

Garage parking, easy to find, restaurant is clean, friendly service, good diner food. Theyre still using reusable menus during COVID and all waitresses were wearing masks.
