Great local store. You can always tell when they have good management by how clean the store is. This is an older location but still has fresh feel to the place.

Safeway is my go-to place for gift cards! They have a great assortment for all kinds of stores, online sites, and restaurants that you can find here in Hawaii or the mainland. Today I saw Xbox, PlayStation Now, Google Play, Apple, Amazon, Spotify Premium, Netflix, Regal, Sling, Hulu, Best Buy, Macys, Uber, eBay, Starbucks, Target, T.J Maxx, Cheesecake Factory, CPK, Papa Johns, Disney, Taco Bell, Panda Express, Delta, JCPenney, Crate & Barrel, Bed Bath & Beyond, Home Depot, Lowes, and Outback, and thats not all! If you dont know what gift card the recipient would want, they also have Visa! Of course, they give a receipt that you can attach to the gift card you purchased so the person knows how much its for & can have proof of the amount. I love the variety! Thanks Safeway!

If youre going to buy a cake, this is the place for a quick fix! Im not sure who they got to fill these baking roles, but they are amazing because they sweeten the frosting/buttercream/icing just enough! Its absolutely delicious!

Was pretty good...Except at checkout...No signs indicating where to stand in line for self checkout..You have 4 sets of Registers with 1 disabled and 2 aisle leading up too them..Could that mean their 2 lines ?When 2 customers join the line simultaneously who goes first?.......It would be the customer who is not in a Hurry and let the other one go...But only if it makes sense to you to have a designte line for self checkout customer...just my observations..

Good experience! Love Safeways soups and bakery items. Hawaiian Safeways are very similar to the ones in North America, wonderful and reminds me of childhood.

Safeway gets 4 stars for finally getting all the Boarshead meats I love and eat. They are way more clean than foodland and closer for me as well. I still wouldnt do all my shopping there because they are way to expensive for everything else but the occasional item or emergency item is fine. They also have Late July chips and snacks as well. So they have hard to find items that you just cant find any where else.

They get 5 Stars for being open past Midnight. The 24hr Safeway in Ewa is amazing too.Thank you for allowing night shift workers to do their shopping without having to upend their schedule.

Nice medium sized store with a Bakery, Deli, Fish Market and Floral section. Building has an older look on the exterior but signage inside looks newer. Bakery looks to be the central bakery for several stores and they have about six people working there at 5PM on a Thursday. Staff was good but could be friendlier like other stores. Surprise was that they carry ice cream cakes regularly!

I think this store needs security. There were several hall of fame bums sauntering around creating diversions for each other. Visible caked on dirt with no masks, they aggressively pan handle in the parking lot when not inside shopping . Please deploy some appearance standards and keep these people out. You are probably being robbed blind too. All this in view of a police sub station across the parking lot.

Only big complaint I have right now is that the aisles are so narrow! Two carts can barely pass each other. Most certainly not at the ends where the displays extended out. The produce area is even worse. Navigating around the display islands is difficult. (I would hate to have a stuck wheel on my cart and try to make those turns.)

Safeway always has what I need, sometimes pricey but always good quality! Like they say you get what you pay for. I actually got a good deal with the club card on some ribeye steaks! Get your Safeway club card if you dont have one.

They have a DMV KIOSK there, you can pay for your tags in literally less than 5 minutes

Their own workers not wearing masks properly (coving mostly the chin with nose sticking out). How are they supposed to enforce it on the customers doing the same thing if the workers dont follow the rules.As for the store; well kept, quality items, good sales and food selections.

Friday deals are the best!

Seems like every time I try to send something to western union at the customer svc desk, they are closed (during normal hours) or say the site is down. I can go to Times across the street immediately thereafter and the site is not down. Need improvement at the customer svc desk.

Place is clean and stocked pretty well. Went there primarily to use dmv kiosk/machine for registration renewal. Bought some ice cream on the way out. However, price scanned was higher than what was shown on shelf. Was in a hurry to get back home so I just paid it.

This Safeway is efficient within customer service and a clean environment. The staff is friendly and kind that they will help you when you need help.

I specifically went to this Safeway location in Waimalu Plaza to use the C&C Motor Vehicle Registration kiosk and I was not disappointed! The entire process took 2 minutes...WAAAY better than going to DMV or Satellite City Hall!!!

It was a little crowded, people definitely werent six feet apart, but other than that, it was pretty good.

I usually go to Safeway because it’s near to our place but earlier when I am trying to send money thru Western Union, that Manager (Idk if it’s true!) was Very RUDE. If I’m not mistaken her name is Cherry Ann C. I worked too before in that kind of field of job, so I know how it feels if it’s toxic or busy, but she can talk to me nicely because I am asking her nicely. My gosh! Urrgghh!! It makes me irritated. Some people need to have a full commitment to their job or at least some training, a customer service training. Tsk!

This is an older location and has yet to be updated in the likeness of other stores like Ewa Beach and Waikele.

Brought some Google play cards and one didnt work although it stated approved ...cant get a warm person at Google to assist me so sad

This is our go to place for groceries! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bakery section is always stocked with yummy goods. We sometimes crave the salt and vinegar chicken, which is sometimes sold. They introduce new snacks sometimes, which we love. Recently got a poke bowl for the first time here and absolutely loved it!

Reliable grocery shop that is open 24 hours. There is plenty of produce, canned food, snacks, frozen foods, and refrigerated foods. Also glad that there is a DMV Kiosk conveniently located inside Safeway to renew my car registration. It seems that self check-in cashiers were installed recently. My only concern would be the baked goods -- especially the cakes.

Its clean, they have a very good selection produce, meats, groceries and of course there poki selection, the dry aku poki is a winner

24 hour stores are essential now that most places are closing early. Its Safeway, so what more can you say although its cheaper to go to Warehouses, but for last minute or late-night runs its convenient.

Great place for grocery shopping. Went to buy a dozen donuts for my partner and his team. The selection is usually better during the week than on an early Sunday morning. The variety is always great. The cashier and managers opened more checkout lines as there were only two lines open and the lines were staring to get long. Thats responsiveness to the needs of the patrons and operations.

Fresh organic produce, cheerful employees, a/c set to frozen tundra setting! Remodeled recently, stylish and modern. Great place to shop, open 24 hours!

I love the check out staff here but management must suck because they never have more than 2 registers open and consistently have long lines. If it wasnt for the staff and the proximity to our home, I would not shop there. Again, the checkout staff are all absolutely incredible! They are the only reason I go there. They need to look at their management big time.

Convenient because it is right by my house. The cashiers are quick and efficient, even with WIC checks. I love the prepared veggies! 3 for $12, there is a great variety! The only thing I would change is their cart situation. They seem to always be short on carts.

Got the last Silk Vanilla coffee creamer. They always seem to be low on this product. Trying their Caramel flavored one since only one Vanilla left...

This is a good place to do grocery shopping, they pretty much have everything you need. Most of the time theres a lot of sales. For local people that eat POKE, there fish is excellent and always fresh. I love the bakery because they bake fresh donuts, bagels,& all types of bread for sandwiches . Rolls, French bread, Italian bread. They even have a small deli where you can order sandwiches, salads or cold cuts. & cheese to go. I recommend shopping at Safeway for all your groceries and cleaning supplies.

They didnt sell coconut. This place reminded me of a Kroger.

I like the Safeway brand products, especially their own brand of Organic products. There are always plenty of items on sale too - use the new Safeway app for even more sales and rewards.

They never have enough cashiers, ever! Doesnt matter day or time, so I go elsewhere.

They sell moldy food. I bought two products from this Safeway that I have opened to find mold.

Im kind of surprised to see such positive comments! We thought it was fine for a quick grab and go but there were plenty of other opportunities on the island to purchase things at a more reasonable price.

Safeway is by far the best grocery store in the state. The selection of food varies from standard, affordable favorites to organic, unique & delicious new things to try. The flower shop is very well equipped with gifts for any & everyone on your list. They have the best rewards, deals & sales of all the supermarkets currently on Oahu.

Mixed reactions....bakery staff was overwhelmed with people so they werent very friendly. But, they were trying to be helpful. However, the cashier I had was a young guy who was very friendly!

Octavia is amazing. I tried calling 2 other Safeways that were closer to our location for over 30 minutes. She is the manager. Answered. Walked to the bakery just to help me order my daughters birthday cake. She must have the best Safeway store in Oahu!

Got what we needed. There was only one delay in the Deli no one turned around to serve us for awhile. But the cashier Robert was excellent.

The absolute friendliest most helpful staff at any grocery store Ive been to on island! Extremely convenient location for those who live in Aiea/Pearl area. The produce is always fresh and the prices are great for membership (membership is free). The aisles are a little cramped but worth it for the experience. Ive only ever been here twice when the lines were very long. Every other time, there were either short lines or they quickly opened additional registers to handle lengthening lines.

Great place to shop...very seasonal with decor and food types... Friday incentives are great....clean store....plenty of parking...fresh bakery goods...friendly helpful staff....

Good store but not the biggest Safeway Ive been to. You can find most things here but dont expect to find a diverse selection of an item. Its not a big deal most of the time though as they do carry quality stuff.The staff is also very helpful and friendly.
