This spot is mine and my husbands favorite breakfast spot in Aiken. The breakfast sandwiches and fresh muffins are delicious. I love customizing the fruit and juice options for smoothies. My husband likes the different coffee options. The grits are also great. The option to order online makes ordering and pick up extremely easy and convenient.

One of my favorite spots. According to my daughter, the Fairy Toast with bacon on top is the best. I love that you can get breakfast all day long. Some of my favorites: Dr John’s panini, humus, crab bisque, mango smoothie, cold brew coffee, egg and veggie bowl, and the BACON! Thick cut and meaty!

I was really impressed with their cappuccino. It was just wonderful. I really recommend it. I was absolutely blown away by how good it was. Please trust me on this. I usually get cappuccinos at cafes, and this was a big surprise in terms of quality.The staff here were also super friendly and personable, and the place had a cozy atmosphere with art and writing strewn across the walls. Ill be back next time I go back to Aiken

I ordered the avocado BLT. It was excellent!! Pricing was beyond fair and service was very quick. Nice, quaint atmosphere to sit and enjoy lunch. I cant wait to return and try the multitude of different menu options. Keep up the great work!!

Great experience here! I ordered the “Nitro Cold Brew” and a breakfast burrito, which were on point, and sat outside. I would definitely recommend trying this place out.

It’s loud and fairly dirty, and you leave smelling like bacon and burnt toast. I asked for a plant-based substitute due to lactose intolerance and was laughed at and ridiculed by the cook. I suggest getting a pour-over coffee as self pumps are often broken and do not seem to get cleaned properly as they all hold coffee that tastes like a mix of flavored coffees and different roasts. They roast their own coffee which is a plus. It’s a fun atmosphere, very upbeat. They have an ok menu with some breakfast sandwich options and a couple of fruit smoothies. Coffee is good as long as you avoid the self-pumps.

We were leaving Aiken after visiting and stopped for coffee and tea. We were a bit early, yet they provided us with our drinks instead of making us wait. We were so grateful as we had a full day of driving. The coffee was some of the best my husband has ever had. We will definitely return on our next trip to Aiken!

Still the best nitro cold brew Ive had, and Im living in a coffee mecca now. Quirky interior design and usually extremely packed on weekends and during events. Priced better than nationwide Seattle-origins coffee chains.

This is my favorite cafe in town. Espresso drinks are very nice and they have all kinds of milk alternative options for lactose intolerance and allergies. Their breakfast burrito is really nice too and it always smells so good inside. I plan to buy some of their house coffee beans (shop window right next to where you order drinks and food) next time Im there.

So many delicious options. Everything sounded, looked, and smelled delicious. We went with the ricotta toast and pimento cheese sandwich; got some additional sandwiches to go. I wish I lived in Aiken so I could eat here every weekend.

The food was excellent. However I did not agree with how they enforced their policy by refusing to take orders from certain customers that did not wear masks.We were out of town and in the area due to a family emergency. We had a large group of people with us and we randomly chose this spot as a meeting place for lunch. Both my sisters have medical exceptions from the masks. And the girl would not take either of their orders unless they put a mask on. Honestly if it were just me or just us I wouod not have even had lunch there at that point because of how that girl treated both my sisters. But because of the family gathering I bought and ordered my sisters meals so we could all still eat.

Where to begin? I have loved this spot for a decade and find myself traveling to Aiken just to be able to go to New Moon. The food is great- I love the sandwiches and soups as well as the smoothies. But the atmosphere is tops, it has such a cool vibe. The employees are very kind- nobody ever seems to be having a bad day. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I hear they make a great cup of joe too.

My favorite place whenever we are in Aiken. We always make it over at least twice, even when we are only in town for a day or two. Everything is from scratch. Well seasoned and thoughtful foods. Great soups and specials. House made breads and desserts are especially delicious. 😋

This crab bisque was not good. All three of us didnt like it. Its bland. Whoever made it didnt taste it and/or doesnt know what they are doing, or they just dont care. It used to be much better. I probably wont be back.BTW, the childish responses to the customers by the owner is a bad look for you. Act like a professional, learn from the criticism, and move on.

About 6 months ago I was at the New Moon. Wrote a negative review then. Came back today to see if I had any left over loyalty points to use. Decided to stay for breakfast. Someone behind the counter made negative comments to me, wanting to know why I was there. I ignored him and ordered a breakfast bowl. When the server brought it to me she tossed it on the table. It nearly fell on to the floor. The breakfast bowl was highly peppered and I did not order pepper on it. There were also eggshells in the bowl. They certainly do not want customers.

Ordered breakfast and sat at the tables outside with our pup. Food was fast, fresh and tasted great.

Theyre always friendly and the comfortable atmosphere makes it my morning go to for breakfast and the occasional afternoon pick me up!

Best Banana Milkshake I’ve ever had!! You can see and taste the banana pieces in it! Cashier/server very friendly. Loved the throwback hippie decor down to the ‘Free Speech Zone’ sticker. Didn’t have lunch here, but impressed with the range of healthy options, and the half sandwich, half soup I had in the Augusta location awhile ago was fresh and delicious.Recommend New Moon would provide option of ‘dine in’, reusable, stainless steel milkshake containers and porcelain cups for coffee, so it would be more environmentally friendly. They do have dry fettuccine to use as stirrers tho! I’m from Australia where crockery is offered practically everywhere like in Europe, so am aware of the cultural difference in the US with the more casual cafes, but more and more places are jumping in on this - most Starbucks has ‘dine in’ mugs and plates, for instance. To provide this option would also fit in well with their cool, hippie vibe.

We been just a couple times and it has been wonderful, bakery and coffee is delicious. As well as the paninis. Last Saturday I went and asked for a latte it was a bit strong, first time it was delicious. I enjoy a strong coffee every once in a while but i wouldve asked for a espresso shot instead of a latte. Just that, all overall experience is great.💕

This is an absolutely amazing place to go and enjoy a cup of coffee and catch up with old friends or make new ones. The food is wonderful and made with pride. The place is awesome. They have a large variety of good HEALTHY food, and of some not so much. It is all made fresh when you order it, no heat lamps. They also have a vast non alcoholic drinks and yummy smoothies. You have a choice of sitting indoors or one of the outside tables. Staff very friendly, and helpful. Took my sister from out of town, and she wished they were closer to her.

Cozy cafe - great food and service. We had the McHippy - a bean burger wrap with a side of hummus and pita chips - and it was really good. The food came quickly despite a full crowd at lunch time.

I have tried multiple times to enjoy new moons coffee and espresso. But dang everytime I spend $5 on a dang latte I regret every dollar. I want to support local businesses instead of other coffee chains. But honestly I cant enjoy the taste of burnt beans. I know they roast their own beans so they should be perfectly capable of fixing this!

Getting straight to the point, there were roaches in the dining area. Not only is this a sign of a poorly maintained cafe / restaurant, if there are multiple roaches in the dining area where customers can see them how many are in the kitchen and everywhere that customers cant go? One of the roaches was even crawling across the glass display case that held their bagels, and when a customer (who seemed like a regular) saw one of the other roaches she acted as if this was a regular thing at this cafe. Do not eat here.

This has and always been one of my most favorite places to dine and catch up with friends. It is a blessing to have such a funky little piece of heaven here in Aiken and Augusta. I am proud to say that I brew new moon coffee everyday at my house when i cant visit them. The staff is great and Tom and Chris are absolutely amazing people and local business owners. I highly recommend New Moon Cafe to everyone.

My favorite place to go for lunch downtown when I come back to my hometown. Highly recommend the pamento cheese, bacon, and tomato on a grilled panini!

I am a health enthusiast, and New Moon is one of Aikens better spots to eat with some organic options and local produce/greens as much as possible... and its coffee is even better. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly employees (and customers!). Very artsy. It brings some life to downtown Aiken. They are a staple in my weekly visit to downtown.

I enjoyed avocado on home baked bread with vanilla chia. Simple meal. Pricey but so worth it. Filling and delicious. Excellent customer service. Quick service.

Was very happy to see that they had a Keto menu on their website. Recommend having the website pulled up when you go. Not all the staff was familiar with it when I went. However, the food was delicious!

We had lunch here after attending our grandsons All Star football game. This local joint did not disappoint. I ordered a half Turknado sandwich (turkey, avocado, red onions panini) which was incredibly tasty. Their soup of the day was a creamy chicken with black rice. Rich, creamy taste... chicken was shredded small and the rice added a good texture.) Since it was a cold, blustery day just before Christmas, I had to get their latte. Smooth taste, not burnt like Starbucks. It provided a nice jolt of caffeine! Would definitely come back.

I try to come to this place whenever in Aiken. I love their coffee. I love their breakfasts and now I also love their lunches. We had grilled turkey sandwiches that were to die for. Done perfectly. Finished that off with a mocha machete. This was amazing. Very spicy mocha drink. Just perfect on a freezing cold day. Service is really nice, love the art work and the music. Great atmosphere. It doesnt open early enough or close late enough for me. Thats my only problem. :)

I was not impressed with their customer service nor their coffee or just overall environment... I loved the local art on the wall but there was dust and dirt everywhere... their coffee as well as their milk tasted super burnt and just was not good. My friend, who got the same thing, hers tasted completely different and that shows inconsistency. The cherry on top was when one of the workers told me to “Keep it movin sweetie” when I tried to find a seat... hoping a better coffee shop opens up soon because this won’t cut it for me :/

Great, freshly-roasted coffees at fair prices. (less than most area super markets and specialty shops) Friendly, accommodating staff. (both Caseys, female and male are knowledgeable and helpful) Nice selection of coffee accesories and accoutrements. Small, walk-in shop, with no indoor seating, so youre in and out with no wasted time or movement!
