Wouldn’t even give this store a single star. Over the years I have purchased furniture from here. Usually, the staff was attentive and in stock items were available. So, I returned to purchase furniture and decided to order the items because their “floor” model was in leather and I wanted fabric. The sales lady stated the special orders were taking approximately 6 months to come in. I agreed to wait and I still do NOT have my furniture. I’ve called a few times to check on the order and have been told it’s sitting on a dock somewhere waiting to ship. They said it would probably be another 6-8 weeks before it leaves the dock and another 8 weeks to be delivered. So far, when December 9, 2021 rolls around it will be a year that I’ve waited for the furniture. Unfortunately, I am not anticipating the furniture will be here before that date. UGH .. won’t be shopping here again.
Great experience at Wayside. Beautiful furniture at a great price. Fantastic selection of many different kinds of furniture. Tremendous quality and selection but what really separates Wayside from other stores is their people. Our designer Lisa L. from Wayside is fantastic. Lisa spent a considerable amount of time assisting us with all our furniture and accessory selections. When purchasing additional furniture the only visit we plan to make is with Lisa and her team at Wayside.
James H helped us out and did a fantastic job. We did everything over the phone and he was quick to answer and made everything a breeze. Will and Drew came to deliver the furniture and did a great job. I would recommend Wayside to anyone!
We moved to Ohio this past year and had to furnish a large house. We purchased much of our furniture from Wayside for many reasons and we couldnt be more pleased with the service, prices, delivery, and large product selection. Dan Carter is absolutely FANTASTIC. He is experienced, knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated to making sure his customers are happy. We ordered among other things, 4 custom Amish-made pieces which turned out gorgeous. Joe and Dan worked with us tirelessly to design everything exactly the way we wanted it to look including precise measurements, hardware, etc. Two of the pieces were quite difficult as we wanted it to match existing Americana furniture from FFDM which went out of business during the pandemic. Its high quality fine furniture and has intricate style details. Wayside is family owned and operated and Joe is part of the family and amazingly talented at CAD drawing. The cafe on-site is also run by a family member and the homemade food is FANTASTIC. We like visiting just to have lunch and we live almost an hour away! You cant go wrong with Wayside Furniture! Ask for Dan as he knows his inventory will direct you to what you want and what options are available. For instance, we ordered not only the fabric for our couch, but the feet and arm design as well. Dan also knows what he can order for you that may not be on the floor.
Selected a couch in April and my salesman, Dan Carter explained the issues with manufacturing supply chain delays. He did a great job of keeping me informed of the process. It took 5 1/2 months and I just LOVE my new couch!
Excellent selection of sofas and bedroom sets with best prices in town. We were pleased to find American made items, excellent customer service. Highly recommend this store.
Good furniture buying experience. We didnt feel pressured at all and our salesman, Evan, was great! He showed us what we were looking for and then let us take our time and make a decision. Definitely happy with our purchase!
We purchased a dining room table three months ago and the top is already chipping off. They sent a tech out who was very condescending. When I explained we were unhappy with the quality and that we don’t even eat at the end where the chips are, he said so they just happened overnight? I was appalled! I called and asked to speak to a manager who told me they don’t really have any line of table that this won’t happen too. Good to know! I’ll never buy a table from them again. We wanted to purchase local but honestly we would have gotten the same if not better quality purchasing online and definitely better service.
Really awesome experience. Purchased 2 leather recliners which were priced better than anyone else! Will be making the trip from Canfield for any future purchases! Ask for Mason!
Its just that I dont think their items are made to be durable / long-lasting! Like a lot of things these days, their items are slapped together, causing them to break down, just so you have to keep coming back to purchase more! (= If youre lucky, each item might last 3>5 yrs?!) On top of everything appearing to be poorly made (= built with weak quality!?), everything we looked at, seemed to be rather over priced for what you were getting! So, on that note, our search for long-lasting furniture, thats durable & sturdy, continues!
The staff at Wayside is knowledgeable and very helpful. We bought patio furniture online, and later went to their showroom to purchase a mattress and box springs. Both the sales and delivery staff were very professional and did a great job. They delivered when they said they would and set everything up. Highly recommended!
I went to pick out a new couch for my retired veteran father, they treated him not like an elderly man, but as a distinguished veteran which he is. The couch we came to select was VERY comfortable, and they didnt try to tack on extra charges, or get pushy, as most places can get. Very impressive, will probably return for myself in the future
Bought our sectional for 50% off of retail price. They delivered all the way to downtown Cleveland for $100. They had a good selection although a lot of items were on back order due to covid
Really good selection on living room furniture. We looked at some of the Amish pieces as well, and they were very well built. Irene, our sales person was so helpful and knowledgeable. The only negative was that they dont have a good selection of coffee tables and end tables, but this a problem that I noticed at some of the other furniture stores that I visited. But overall a great experience and the selection cant be beat. I would definitely recommend this store without hesitation and ask for Irene.
We appreciate Wayside for having nice items in stock. Just canceled our 6 month old order at Levin who have no clue when anything will be coming. Cant wait for the Wayside deliveries :)
My husband and I bought our sectional for our living room last year and a table for our dining room this year. We are so happy with our experience at Wayside and our purchases. Everyone is so helpful and friendly at the store. Phil and Matt just dropped off our table and were so kind and friendly and very timely. Wayside is the place to go! So many options and great people!
The quality of the furniture and sales associates was top-notch. I would have rated 5 stars if I didnt have to wait 3 months for some of my furniture.
I purchased a leather chair At Wayside in Akron for over $1600.00 in July of 2019. When purchasing the chair we talked to the sales staff about not wanting bonded leather because the finish comes off. I want real leather that would age gracefully. I was told this is perfect its real leather and any issues you may have will be covered by this amazing protection plan you can purchase. A year and half later the back of the chair finish is coming off. we also paid for the amazing protection plan on this. I am now told this is normal wear and tear and is not covered because the chair is made by by Flex steal in China and they can not get a replacement for it. so there is nothing they can (or are willing to do about it )when i asked to speak to a store manager they refused to let me speak to a manager I was told that they are as high up as I can go and they can give me the name of a company that I can pay to come out and re dye the chair. In my opinion Junk furniture at a premium price. this is the 3rd purchase we have made there the first set was over $2,000.00 made by Ashley and 2 years after purchasing it the springs were in the cushions and they all blew out and the seats were all lumpy. We were told its because Ashley is there bottom line furniture. over all the service is not good and the prices are to high for the quality.

Ordered our new AMERICAN MADE Klaussner Sectional on October 4th, 2020. It was delivered today on April 14th, 2021, which was about a month AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. The price was about $800 LESS than NEFD (Alex) and the service from Bob Bari was outstanding. He kept me informed, ensured I got all the discounts available, and the delivery was on time at my house and flawlessly executed.I could not ask for more, and our new sectional is AMAZING!The couch did NOT come in a box stating Made in Vietnam - it came with Made in USA labels attached.Wayside is definitely Better furniture, priced lower, and well worth the drive to Akron!
We purchased bedrooms sets, living room sets, dining room- etc.... from Wayside Furniture. We love their prices and great service. I had a few minor issues with them and they were amazing at fixing the problem asap. They went above and beyond customer service in making sure I was very satisfied. Thank you Wayside for your customer service and making your customers happy. Our drivers Dave S and Conner were so awesome at being careful with our furniture - thank you!!! I spoke to Mike in customer service about a few issues we had on a dresser that was delivered and he made sure to take care of it right away for me. Also, we really liked our salesman Randy. Everyone there is so nice and helpful. You can trust this company they care about the customer. We will be back again soon.
Had a wonderful experience in store. Everyone was nice and helpful. Some of the best prices around, which is why we decided to drive up from Youngstown. However that’s about all the positive I can say at this point. With COVID delays, which are understandable we were quoted about 6months for furniture for our new house. After a month we realized we had an issue with one of the sets we purchased and needed to discuss options with someone. We tried reaching out to our sales person for a week with no response back, no emails or return phone calls to our voice mail. Finally we got fed up and decided to call. We were passed to someone else because again our original sales person wasn’t available. The other sales person wouldn’t help us since we had already purchased from someone else. When we finally got a very brief conversation with our original sales person we were told we’d need to drive the hour to come to the store to discuss options and that we’d receive a phone call back. Of course no phone call back. At this point we’re considering just cancelling the entire order and ordering from someone local. I guess the price you pay comes at the cost of good customer service.

They have it all....from cheap to expensive, from rugs to wall arts..etc. i am going back to pick up some coffee tables and other furniture, and by the way, it is a good one hour away from my home, so I hope that tells you that this is a good store, since on my way to them I pass a dozen of furniture distributors.
Wayside was recommended to us by my parents when we were searching for a new couch. We arrived about 20 minutes before their posted open time, but with a simple phone call, we were brought into the store to begin our search. Staff was highly professional and extremely helpful. We knew what we were looking for and were shown several options that matched our descriptions. Then we were given the time to compare the look and feel of each option. The salesman never pressured us to make a sale; never tried to get us to buy a more expensive possibility. He was patient with us as we took our time to finally and fully be certain of our choice. I fully recommend Wayside to anyone. With two levels of showroom floor space, they have lots of sizes, colors, styles, and materials to decide over.

Went in the clearance section to get a chair that I could pick up this week in my price range for my dad who is coming home from the hospital and needs a specific recliner type chair - this was made very clear to the sales person - he told me the chair that I wanted couldnt be sold off the floor and they couldnt get it until mid-July. Clearly not what I needed. Then he proceeded to tell me they have lots of chairs that might be able to be picked up but I had to ask him twice if any of them would be in my price range. He finally admitted they would not have anything else in that range. This was not a shopping spree for new furniture - this was a necessity purchase - I dont appreciate the attempt to upsell.

Great store with a huge selection. My parents shopped at Wayside when I was younger and now my family does as well. We love our furniture and it makes our home feel like home. The sales personnel are great and very knowledgeable of the product they are selling. Delivery was fantastic as well. Considering I couldn’t be home for our delivery, my wife stated that the guys were very nice and made sure our furniture looked great before leaving. Covid has definitely put a delay on some things but it’s worth the wait considering almost everyone is in the same boat. I will always highly recommend Wayside Furniture to all of my friends and family. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After furniture delays and customer service nightmares with big box furniture store bobs discount furniture, wayside was able to put me together with much better higher level elegant living room furniture! I purchased a Bernhardt sofa for a crazy low deal 1299 compared to retail prices upwards of 3500+ At Bloomingdales, quality European leather and just gorgeous, also two beautiful chairs from clearance and a super unique swivel chair, I can definitely be hard to please and like a more modern style of decor, but wayside had it all and the best part I was able to come pick up the very next day !! My sales associate Gaines was super accommodating and patient, all of the staff were super helpful and polite and made everything convenient, I truly lucked up because the furniture I had been waiting for from Bob’s, could have never ever compared, nor would it have even arrived by now I was waiting from December to a future July delivery date, wayside kept it upfront with me about what was in stock or not and I was able to come to decision quickly and solve my empty living room dilemma, work with miles Gaines a great patient guy who dealt with my antics and all of the other sales associates were equally as helpful and minimally pushy or hovering, would recommend to anyone !! My Bernhardt couch mannnnn that leather baby damn near a 5000 couch I got for 1299 I’m always gonna cheese about that 😉
Take my money. We’ve bought way too much here. But best selection in north east Ohio hands down. Everything from cheapo level furniture to highest quality, whatever your budget is. I’ve bought all ranges. They have great closeout prices/red tags too if you keep an eye out. Staff is always super helpful and friendly.

This store used to care about its customers, unfortunately that is not the case anymore. My family and I have spent thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars at this store. We came in looking for a recliner, I’m having spine surgery in two weeks and needed something to sleep in. I found a recliner that was comfortable and worked for my needs, however we were met with Very rude staff that told us it wasn’t for sale. Then denied us the curiosity of speaking to a manager about why they wouldn’t sell us a clearance item. Our family and friends will not be back.
No organization at the front door. No one there just to say Hello or Welcome Despite standing hoping to attract a salesmanship attention no help was coming. I eventually found the piece I wanted. When I finally stopped a salesman he just told me they were busy.. No offer of help to find someone. No place to sit and wait. After an hour and no luck even speaking to a salesperson and exhausted from standing all that time I just left. Note: I was not the only customer leaving in frustration as I saw one leaving ahead of me for the same reason.Why 2 stars? I gave them an extra one because after leaving I went past another store and decided to at least check it out. I found the exact same piece I saw at Wayside for a significantly lower cost and delivery fees... Exact same design. Exact same manufacturer.So they get an extra star for driving me out of their store and into another store who, in spite of their own crowds of customers, was responsive to my questions and took their time with me to be sure all my concerns were met. But most of all they were responsive to my PRESENCE simply by acknowledging my being in the store.So thanks Wayside. Thanks to you Ive found a better place to shop for furniture and I will make any further purchases (and there will be) there from now on.
Give the sales guys credit. There are far more customers than agents. Be patient with them.
I went into the store to purchase an outdoor sofa. Walked in, the store only had one other customer. There were three salesman working. I made eye contact with one of them. Waited for a greeting, he dropped his eyes and began reading something on his phone. Ok, hes probably looking something up for a customer. But I expected a hello, we will be with you in a moment. That was not the case. I knew what I wanted, so I began looking, sitting, waiting for someone to assist me. The other customer made their purchase and left. I am the only one in the store. Three salesman, not one greeted me or asked if they could assist me. I decided to go and stand in front of two of them because one retrieved to the back. They both looked at me and still no greeting. I said, well, hello in a friendly but firm voice to let them know, I recognized that they see me but not offering assistance. Then one of them says, hello how can we help you, in a exuberant tone that felt fake. I said, Ive been walking around waiting for someone to say hello, how can we help you. The other salesman says, we thought you were here with someone else. But there was not anyone else in the small section of outdoor furniture but me. And even if I was there with someone else, you should greet every person that comes in your showroom. At that point, I did not want to spend my money in a store who didnt make me feel welcomed. But I pressed through to ask about a particular sofa glider, I wanted it in a sofa not a love seat. There was an immediate, curt, no thats all we have. Then awkward silence. I knew for sure, I would take my business elsewhere. I even brought them a customer from out of town who made a sizeable purchase. No more recommendations from me, nor will I shop there.

This is like the I-x center of furniture sales! Vast rooms of all types of furniture and home decor. Several multi level buildings that offer a range of pricing from cheap to sky high. The great selection is overwhelming until youve roamed all the floor space. Then it starts to make sense! But I must say the best part of it was the employees! They were everywhere! They approached you gently, knowledgeably and without pressure. Not a list of hype or nos . Just, sure we can do that. A great way to spend the day after Christmas! Happy 2021!

Ordered furniture in August. Four months later, still no furniture.First, the website messed up our order. Then, Bob promised to call back after ordering by phone. He forgot. At this point, I had a gut feeling these were not indications of a well-run operation. Nevertheless, we ordered. End of November, I emailed Bob inquiring if I could get an update as to status. They dont answer emails. A phone call failed and resulted in the old Wuhan excuse. So basically, they have you pay immediately, you dont receive what you paid for months ago, they dont answer emails, and when you call they say theyll call back in a few days. Wonder how many peoples hard earned money they have been earning interest on and how much money they will take with them when they go. My advice, even though Ive tried my best to support local companies, is *gasp* Amazon. Ordered furniture in August from there as well, and it arrived in less than 2 weeks.A pat response from the owner to make yourself look customer-oriented and responsive on the internet, but actually not doing your jobs in real life, is not necessary. Its disappointing because years ago this was a trustworthy company.
My husband and I bought a sofa today. We were able to customize it, so it is exactly what we wanted. Our sales person was Forrest Marshall. He was professional and very helpful. I will recommend Wayside Furniture to my friends and family.

Finally found what I wanted, even came back 2 days in a row. However, the salesperson let my wife and I walk over $80. Got offended that I even asked for a discount, got even more offended when my wife asked if there was a military discount. Said it comes out of their paycheck. Im sorry, but never should that be said to me or anyone. I made a reasonable offer that was not taken to the manager and refuted on the spot. I wasnt upset but conversation went sideways and the salesperson didnt even attempt to sell us again. If I make an offer, take it to someone! Heck pretend you did. Dont start an argument with me as if I offended you somehow. I will forever remember $80 dollars stopped me from spending $4000. This was merely for one of the 3 rooms I need replacement furniture for. Guess $80 was too steep, and Im a repeat customer!

Weve shopped at wayside for 10 years, and have always had a great experience. We stopped in today, 11/22, and had a horrible experience. After narrowing down what we were looking for, we were approached by a sales woman who offered help. We explained we had a large room and were looking for a sectional. Our conversation started with her telling us what we wanted, and starting to argue against what we told her we were looking for. We then tried to build out a sectional to fit our needs, where she repeatedly raised her voice, and confused us by repeating the same things over and over without giving us a chance to respond. At this point, there are other customers and sales people around, and were trying to calmly explain what we want, again. She then pulled out a piece of the couch, I think in an attempt to illustrate her point, while yelling the same things at us. Ive never been so embarrassed or disrespected to have a salesperson yelling at us while were trying to make a purchase. Definitely would not recommend Wayside anymore and will be going elsewhere for furniture in the future.
I have been to several furniture stores in the last month trying to put my new living room together. It was frustrating trying to pull everything together. I never received poor service from any of the other stores I visited but I never really got the help I needed to put everything together. Then I found Elizabeth Fischer at wayside! She was amazing! After she found out the style and a few pieces that I liked she helped me pull everything together and made sure it was all going to go together. She really knows her stuff. Suddenly instead of feeling overwhelmed I started having fun with it! My living room is going to be so beautiful! The way I would have done it on my own would not have turned out nearly as nice. I simply cant say enough about how she helped me. I will definitely go back to her for all of my furniture and accessory needs. I cant wait to get her ideas on a rug.
Friendly staff and a huge selection. We enjoyed our trip down from Cleveland. It’s well worth the drive.Much better selection than Fish Furniture, for example. They run the gamut from very affordable to high-end custom pieces.Would definitely recommend.

I am writing this review about a store that I previously loved and it saddens me to say that because of an unpleasant incident over the last weekend (1/16/21) I will never return to this store as a customer.My mom is moving to a smaller location and needs to upgrade and replace furniture for her new home and as always I recommended Wayside. In the past myself and the people that I had referred to this store have been pleased with their product and outstanding customer service.Until my incident I had no complaints. On my Saturday visit the store was crowded with customers as expected on a weekend and upon my arrival we were looking for sleeper sofas. The store is large with multi-room layouts. When I walked into an area that was unfamiliar to me I spotted a salesman sitting at a computer terminal. To be completely fair there were other people around him so I excused my presence and asked where I could find the area with sleeper sofas. I was taken aback by his rude and condescending manner. His curt and dismissive reply after giving me an annoyed up and down was I am with customers. I was almost driven to matching his disrespect but then I realized that I was with my mother and she had taught me not to be classless in public. Therefore I was motivated to write my first review of any kind.After my exchange with this unprofessional man another salesmen walked over and asked if he could help. He was very professional and walked me to the area that I requested. But by this point I was done with Wayside. It is common decency to know how to treat a paying customer. There are may ways to handle situations when you are busy. The man that was so contemptuous because of a directional question has lost Wayside Furniture a great customer. I am sure during my tenure as a customer with all my family and friends we have spent thousands of our hard earned dollars with them.This distasteful visit alone cost them around $7000 that we took to a competitor. Needless to say my almost 40mile drive from Twinsburg OH was a wasted trip. I left the store after about 5 minutes with so much anger towards the new accepted normal of rude behavior as being tolerable.I did call the store to let them know how I felt about my perception of this less than 30 second interaction that caused the loss of a faithful customer.The store manager was very sympathetic and apologetic because by his words Wayside has not survived for 83yrs by alienating potential buyers.This review is to inform new and existing customers that for every multipleglowing review on this social platform there may be a rare unsatisfied person and we have a voice also. The store manage stated to me that whenever I came back to the store he would show me how much they valued me as a customer. To him my reply was nothing he could do would make me return or refer any business to his company. I thought to myself if I found a penny outside the doors of this store I would take it somewhere where I am better appreciated as a paying customer. The store that did receive my business had gracious and helpful representatives to assist my mom and went above and beyond to keep her as a satisfied returning customer.
I bought a couch which was delivered in August 2020, within 3 months it looked like it was 20 years old. All the cushions are discolored and pilling like it is 20 yeas old. We have purchased other couches from wayside that look better after 10 years than this looks after 3 months. This is obviously a defective material issue and a matter of quality control. I left 3 messages for the service department with no return call. On my fourth call I talked to the receptionist who filed a claim. I received a call a week later and was told that they would not warranty or repair the couch. This is observed. I will never buy from wayside again. Buyer beware! I waisted my money. I now am shopping for another couch to replace the one I bough just a few months ago. Wayside apparently only cares about the sale and not quality or service.
My husband and I purchased a sectional sofa and bedroom set almost a year ago. The entire process beginning with customer service, sales, purchase, and delivery was excellent. Every step was thoroughly explained and communication was clear and concise.Why did I wait almost a year to post a review, you ask? Well, we have hardwood floors and were having intermittent issues with center bed supports wanting to slip out of place. We had tried furniture cups and non-skid pads with moderate success. I even got replacement feet, because the original had bent after sipping so often. That still did not resolve the issue. Customer service sent a service tech to my house. He replaced the feet (again) and fabricated a brace on the spot to brace the feet and prevent slipping.I guess what I’m trying to say is that I will never buy furniture anywhere else. Ever. Wayside has a customer for life!
Awful experience. I grew up going here picking out furniture and used to love it, but currently I would not recommend going here for anything. They are overpriced and no one is available/ willing to help you. Just do not waste your time.

My experience began when I met Sam O.I purchased a recliner for my husband who was coming home from the hospital this week.. He arranged for delivery within 2 days and OKd it with his manager. On the 25th, Jennifer spoke to me and arranged for 2 young men to deliver the recliner chair mid morning and it was excellent service. Monty Garret and his partner were courteous and careful. Well laid out. Customer service was great. I had a new salesman, only there a few days, but knew where to find what I was looking for. Seems like they have a good training program.
For anyone who actually reads reviews, take warning that special ordered does not mean its sitting at the warehouse. Myself and others thought that meant it wasnt at the showroom to be displayed and picked up but you had to make a special trip to the warehouse, no big deal. Instead, it means youre looking at over 4 months until the piece is delivered state side. Something the website doesnt mention when youre cashing out. They take your money first THEN inform you of this. Apparently its also okay to get snippy with the customer because were suppose to already have this knowledge as well. Ill gladly pay extra to take my business elsewhere, not that the piece we were looking at was cheap by any means.
I bought a sectional sofa, coffee table, side table, bedroom outfit, 4 lamps, and a dining table and chairs after my house fire in 2018. I was happy but last night my 1800.00 on sale sectional sofa gave way when I sat down on it!! Im in my 60s, never has that ever happened to me. I had kids plopping down on my old couches, one that was 15 yrs old...never one bit of trouble. We flipped it over and the craftsmanship is so poor, the wood just falls apart, its not aligned right, the other wood is cheap MDF. We are bracing it with better quality wood for now but I really dont want to have to purchase another couch after only 3 yrs. I worry another piece is going to give way soon. I have pictures and will be calling.

No one assisted me so I went to another store. I did, however see the butter cream colored leather section I wanted. But they didnt want my money. May try again to make a purchase there. We have shopped there before.
Prices are good. Excellent customer service. We dealt with Arnett and he was able to fix a problem we had with no issues. My husband and I appreciated that very much.

From the minute I walked in the door Susan greeted me and helped me find my dream bedroom. She didn’t try and sell me on the most expensive she seriously helped me find my dream. And she succeeded.The day of delivery came and the three guys who delivered all the furniture were amazing. The put padding around my front door to make sure the didn’t ding it. Took pictures off the wall and replaced them when done. Set everything exactly where I asked them to. Were friendly and courteous. In all the things being delivered, a picture was forgotten. By me and them. When they realized they forgot the picture on the truck, they called and brought it right over. I will most definitely buy furniture from them in the future. I love my bedroom. It is exactly how I pictured it.
Fabulous experience once again at Wayside! Besides the fact that their prices are always far cheaper than other retailers, it’s their customer service that exceeds others. We have bought most of our furniture and never been disappointed. Linda and Mason assisted us in our last shopping experience. When another known retailer could not offer the assistance that we needed, Wayside came to the rescue. Both Linda and Mason were beyond helpful and we will forever be loyal to wayside because of their assistance. Great family owned company!!!
My familys first time visiting wayside, we were looking for bedroom sets, we were very impressed by the selection. Steve helped us right away & was really professional yet down to earth & funny. They have great prices, really amazing brands of furniture at half the price you find it anywhere else. Will definitely be back again for a living room set! Thanks again Steve!!

Its a nice place but due to the pandemic, theres a 3-6 month wait for furniture and a 3-8 week delivery time

My husband and I love coming to Wayside to get great prices on great furniture. Keith Mann is the man to talk to. He is honest about the product as far as what youll use it for and whether it will be a good deal and/or last for your use. We liked chairs from a different furniture store and he didnt pressure us into something from Wayside. He was honest about not having anything similar but helped us complement the style of the chairs we liked from the other store. This store is the best and Keith will help with whatever you need. Do not shop here. Bought a dining table, 2 beds, dresser, nightstand and box spring. Paid for delivery and setup. The table was extremely wobbly, 2 chairs were messed up and the bench was missing an entire support beam. They did come out and fix it. Within a week, the box spring is very creaky, has a hole in it when we have never touched that part of it. One bed frame is broken! The support things under the boards snapped off and it looks like it’s missing one. So it’s another thing they did wrong! I am not a heavy person so it had nothing to do with that. The bed collapsed hurting me and my one year old son who was on the bed at the time. Emailed them and called with no call back and no email response. I spend a lot of money here and honestly want my money back because this is absolutely ridiculous. Even if they came and fixed it, how do I know in 3 months this wouldn’t happen again? Eventually they will refuse to fix anything and I don’t want to take that chance. Was a very happy customer and now completely disappointed and will not ever shop there again.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Be careful, they will sell you broken furniture at top price and make you suffer the consequence. Bought a $400 piece of furniture, the box was damaged, but the guy in shipping said it was OK. Moved the piece to Chicago, and when unpacked, it was crushed beyond repair. Was told by their Shipping manager that a $200 credit would be fair, so I left Chicago, and was later told the store manager would only credit a $75 amount.

May want to reconsider doing business here as long as this individual has access to you and your family personal information! Want to give a family run business the benefit of a doubt, and not sure if they know about this, but feel the need to make everyone aware. I don’t believe this long standing institution would allow this type of employee to be around customers or fellow employees knowing the risk. I know I would not not want my daughter to step into the store...This is public information so wanted to share!

Purchased sofa from Wayside 5 months ago. This is not a custom order. Just a Ashley sofa that I was told was coming from the Cleveland warehouse. Every time I email Wayside, same story about Covid impacting delivery. Im literally 1 hour from the warehouse. Are you really telling me it takes 5 months to get a warehouse couch. At this point, offer me the option of a refund. I will never do business with them again and will pass info along to as many people as possible. Its really sad that I have to take legal measures to get a business to do what is fair and right.
*Edit: Sean reached out to me and was extremely helpful. He gave me a couple of options to fix this situation. We chose to have the parts of the bed replaced that were in question. They were delivered today and everything looks great. I purchased this from them online. I would recommend a visit to their store before purchasing anything so you will know the quality of the item before receiving. Lesson learned. But thank you to Sean for his help in this matter. We will definitely make a trip down to the store for our next purchase. Thank you.Bought a new bedroom set from them. After they delivered and set it up we noticed that the screws were all either stripped or in too far. This led to the frame not being stable. The frame is also gouged in some spots. We reached out to the sales team twice with no reply. I sent photos of the issues and still no reply. BUYER BEWARE with this company!Claiming a customer could mistake you for Wayfair is dodging responsibility for the claim being made. I assure you we did not mistake Wayside for Wayfair. We know who took our money. We will be in contact as you asked, and update this review with our findings.
Be very careful of the billing games played here. We were double charged here and they will not allow us to elevate this to a person of authority. The billing business manager on duty finally told me I was a smart fellow and would figure out and hung up on me after I pointed out several times inconsistencies in here responses. Then her attitude got worse as the call went on. Finally I had enough a demanded to speak to her direct report, she indicated she had none. Finally she hung up. I called back the receptionist then took my name when I called back, came back on line and told me they already have done what they could do. Now I would not care if I bought some junky table from them, but I spent over $9000.00 on Smith Brothers couches, chairs etc. (which by the way are still not here after being ordered in August) you would think, in this day and age that an order of this type might get some attention by management. Apparently the rogue floor billing staff run over customers as they see fit. So Wayside, you have lost a customer for ever, and believe me there are more and better furniture stores out there.

Yes they have great prices, and will treat you great until you pay. Then it all changes. They over promise and under deliver. Do your self a favor and do business elsewhere. This is not a reflection of the delivery department, they were very courteous and professional. This is strictly about how upper management handles handles issues.
Good customer service on the phone and in the showroom. Was able to get a needed recliner in 30 minutes.
