But when i tell you great hospitality Not overbearing ALWAYS Top Customer Service Isles and isles of Products and great finds! I can Spend 30-40 minutes in there Easy! Very unprofessional. I came in to purchase some items behind the counter where the blowdryers were located, and that required one of the workers to help to me. I waited patiently for 15min, even though they were doing nothing. The manager seen me and left to get someone in the back to help me. Well, that person went the other way and I was still standing there. I called for the manager to help me, and he just stared and walked away.l was so upset by having to wait. I went behind the counter myself and got the items I needed and paid for them. Ill never come back.

The women there are always super nice and helpful. But the young guy at the register was soo rude smh. Makes you not want to go back.

This used to be my favorite Beauty Supply however ever since my son asked about a job there and they told him no I really dont like going there my son is a guru when it comes to hair knowledge from the cuticle to the medulla he understands hair and he would have been an asset to the store however they said they dont hire men yet Ive seen men of their own ethnicity working there so they do hire men my son doesnt even want to go there however it is very close to where I live and I just spent over $100 there there is a woman there that I like I believe she is the owner shes very nice and very respectable but very disappointing in the fact that they wouldnt be honest about the reason they didnt want to hire him never been arrested doesnt even curse so they didnt even know my son they judge him based on how he looks and he doesnt dress like a thug either

How many people have struggled to find their perfect eyeliner that meets your standard of quality + purpose + price + quality? I have tried so many different kinds and brands from all spectrum, and I can finally say I found my all time favorite eyeliner at Essence Beauty Mart! It is called, “High Precision liquid liner” by Kiss. It is by the front counter.... It glides well on my eyelids and is easy to make both wings or without wings depending on the occasion it allows. They come both in dark brown and black. The reason I am writing this review for Essence Beauty Mart is because I found this product here. I have never seen this product anywhere! In addition, they carry high quality items that are indeed essential for all women and mens’ life style! I have used their makeup brushes, hair straighteners, and hair clips, hair extensions, hair/body products, even socks and legging! I heard the young guy saying they have been around for more than 20 years or so and are particular on what items they carry. Based on my experience so far, I have not been disappointed with any of my purchases and will continue to get my essentials here. I would be selfish if I don’t share this locations to others but also I hope all the eyeliners will not get sold out when I go back to purchase them!

DONT SHOP HERE....THEY ARE TERRIBLE To their customers who are the only reason they can thrive. I’ve witnessed multiple times and today it happened to me. I purchased a normally good brand, which I will not name to discredit them. This specific pack of hair was not able to curl, which confused me. I offered to show the problem and they refused to allow me to speak. Spoke over me, argued me down, and told me they couldn’t do anything but tell the vendor. That doesn’t make sense because they are already inflating the suggested retail which is easily assessed by comparing their pricing directly to every hair store in the city. It’s not the fact that they didn’t offer me money, or new hair. They offered no solution and gave the absolute worse service you could imagine to me a customer who frequents their store 3 or 4 times a week . They could care less about our money, don’t shop here !!

The best selection and prices out there!

I just wanted to swap a product for the one I really wanted. You could see it had never been opened. And the one I wanted was exactly the same Price. But they Refused. Never shopping at the store Again. Bad customer service.

Lots of variety of things

I needed some long gloves for an after 5 event and some for my vintage look. They have so many colors, so I bought 4 pair and will return to get other colors. Needless to say I looked stunning! I also purchase my hair care from Essence. Ive notice an increase in the prices lately, but they have everything I need. One stop shop😎

They had a very nice selection and the woman that assisted me was very helpful. Ive never worn a wig before, and she cut the lace for me (Although its a little close and now curls under itself and is hard to flatten out. That may be my fault, Im not sure.) and gave me tips on products to use to secure it. Overall a good experience.

I visited this shop today with my sister-in-law. I intended to try on and purchase a wig I saw online. I decided to come back for the wig and as we left the shop we were asked if we paid 50 cents for a wig cap (I brought my own and my sister-in-law purchased hers upon arrival). I tell the woman at the front, Yes..thank you! and proceed to exit. A male employee yells from the back of the store, No they didnt pay! I say, Yes sir we did. He states, Well the girl working back here said you didnt! So we walk to the back of the store where he says, I dont know if you set the money on the counter, but its not there and you need to pay. I say, We already paid, she put the money in the girls hand. This whole time he has an attitude and says, Its no big deal! Other shops charge $5.00 for wig caps! I state, I know its no big deal sir, but I dont have another 50 cents to give you. She said she put the money in her hand so bring her out from the back! The female employee comes around the corner and whispers, They paid. I was talking about the white girls. The man that caused the whole scene turned and walked away without and apology for accusing us as thieves and liars! They WILL NOT be getting my business now! All over 50 cents! Horrible service!

Worst place to go for beauty supplies . They sold me a bottle of expiredshampoo ! Had a stale odor and did not notice until I got home . Threw out receipt cause didnt anticipate a problem . Went back to the store andand showed them the expired date on the bottle 8/15 and NOW the dateis 12/19 . Showed the owner and explained everything and their sonand the woman who worked there knew I bought the same shampoofrom them on 2 other occasions. Didnt matter! The expired shampoo stunk ! Would not honor me an exchange. Will buy a fresh bottle fromUlta They carry it too ! At least I know it is original and not expired !!!Dont waste your money on inferior products . The asians r laughingat you guys dont go there stay away . They want everyone to wear wigsand not have healthy hair !!!

Did not find merchandise.

The prices for the items are all different and some do not have the price marked. Staff will charge you the highest marked price for the item. One item I saw was labeled $1.49 while another same item was labeled $4.99 and they did not sell me the product for the low price marked. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Make sure you have time to look around. They have so much stuff to choose from. Employees are always very accommodating and well help you find whatever you need.

I just wanted to let you guys know how rude some of your staff are. I shop with you guys often and I’m very disappointed in how I was treated today. I was in the wig section inquiring about a bun. I waited patiently for your staff member to finish with the customer and she proceeded to ignore me after I said excuse me when she was done. All she was doing was marking inventory on the wigs I said excuse me 5x and waited 3mins. She asked in a very nasty way if I could wait and rolled her eyes like she was so busy so I walked out. I will not recommend your store to anyone and I do not appreciate being treated that way as a paying customer. This isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue but today I was officially fed up. Hopefully you guys can learn to treat people better in the future❤️

I love this store!! The staff was very nice when I walked in. There is so much great finds here.

I have been a customer for years, as of today I will never shop there again. Bought over $100 worth of products in one trip, a Saturday. Got home and one of the items was faulty. Had to wait until Monday to return it and imagine my surprise when I was told it could not be returned or exchanged. That was $80 waisted. I left it on the counter and left, no scene was made no voice raised I just simply had no use for it at all. Lesson learned and no longer a customer.

USED WIGS SOLD AS NEW!!! NASTY!! I have been a consistent CUSTOMER there for YEARS.One one of my recent trips there I had ordered a wig and checked back in 2 weeks, employer said wasnt in yet, called back a week later and spoke to the owner she said they dont have it, that wig doesnt come in the color I want shell call the company and call me back, the next day she calls back suprize they now have it(?) Its my fault I didnt check it thoroughly, but I got it home and it was the same display I tried on, I could tell because I was told the new one would be shiney and tighter curls, this was the same finger combed frizz ball that who knows how many people had on their heads, I called her back and she argued with me said all sales are final and hung up on me, to bad I was a great CUSTOMER there . Cant stand blatant liars, state cosmotology board and BBB getting a call.

Very racist loves to excuse blacks of stealing. With no proof. Most of customers are black and to be treated like a criminal when spending money at their store is crazy! On top of that they’re very disresptful. Until they stop their hateful ways of excusing minorties of stealing they will not get any business from and I recommend others to not shop there.

I went there today with my mother in law we had a great experience and she tried in like 10 wigs they were very pleasant we bought a nice synthetic for 40 and they had a huge selection will definitely be a repeat shopper so much to choose from wigs and all hair accesories

It was brought to my attention that I was being accused of stealing. So I took it upon myself to go up there like an adult and see why I’m being accused when all I do is spend my hard working money in there shop. So according to them, I paid for my items but the girl that was with me didn’t pay for her lashes that I had no acknowledgement of. So because I was with her they went out of their way to go to my fb post my fb picture and blow it up in their store. By the way I paid for my items with my credit card that’s how they got my name. When I went up there to discuss this like an adult they over talked me didn’t want to here what I had to say over some lashes I had no apart of. They don’t care about their customers, I’m embarrassed and it’s sad that they are willing to slander your name not knowing the harm they can cause with your job. Seeing the other comments it seems like they do this a lot and need to be held accountable for there actions I will no longer spend my hard working money In this store never had a problem anywhere else they don’t understand that you have to treat your customers with respect and just because one person does something does not make it ok for them to hold everyone accountable very bad customer service
