Best homebrew shop in the area. Been to G&G a half dozen times, and Ive never left disappointed. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Very well stocked with ingredients, kits, equipment, everything you need to make your own beer, wine, mead, cider, and spirits. Reasonably priced too! What more could you ask for?

Great place for winemaking supplies. I make at least 2 trips there every year to make wine in both fall and spring. Well worth the 40 minute trip. John is also super helpful with any questions or issues that come up throughout the winemaking process. Extremely responsive to any emails I’ve sent him. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

CATHY WAS AWESOME!We have a family reunion this summer and wanted to hand-out commemorative bottles of wine. We have made wine for a number of years here for the holidays and thought a Reunion Bottle would be really nice this year....Cathy made this s-s-s-s-o-o-o-o easy! She is so accommodating, friendly & knowledgeable. In 40 minutes we had sampled 3 wines, talked about them & actually started the process. We are so glad she was there! She gave special attention to my 91 year old father, seeing that he had something to drink and even gave him some snacks to enjoy while we made our wine selections.Tommy took time to explain the wine making process. From the fermentation to racking off to bottling and even label making. He was knowledgeable & energetic. The entire encounter was very positive. A really well run family business.

Ive been making my own wine and beer for years and I can tell you this, this place is top of the list for my go to and if you have any issues, the staff is super knowledgeable. Ive been coming here since I started home brewing beer in 2007. I have not really explored the front area, as 95% of all my experiences are in the back room home brewing supply section. I like that i am able to choose and scoop my own malts . They can grind them if you so require.

Its a really cool place and a nice experience to make your own wine with friends. You get to pick your own name for your wine and labels. When the wine is ready you go back and bottle it.

I drew the wine maker on the family Christmas exchange. I do not personally know anything about wine making, except for the grapes. I walked in with a list and they set me up in matters of a minute. Told them my budget and they kept me on it. Great people, knowledgeable and friendly. They earned my business. Now I have to go and try their wine.

Grape and Granary is another great example of the small town service youll often see from a small business in Akron Ohio. John, the owner is usually on site, ready to answer questions or solve any brewing or distillation challenge. Their products are pure and consistent and his recipes win my friends admiration each time I brew a new batch.

You need to go here. Ordered a American Pale Ale kit this morning, and it was ready by the time I got off work. My inquiry about the order status was answered less than 10 minutes after I sent the email. They even gave me a free freezer pack to keep my yeast cold as I had a side errand to run. Very helpful employees and they have a ton of supplies in the store.

Great staff help me to learn how to make my own wine. I am the grandson of Italian immigrants with fond memories of both my maternal and paternal grandfathers making wine in their basements and aging it in barrels. To continue this tradition and celebrate my Italian Heritage, I make wine here with Mary, Marquita and Trista. Last week I made a batch of Montepulciano with Marquita and Trista. A year ago, Mary and Marquita helped me rack and bottle a batch of Sangiovese and label the bottles. The staff will customize your own label with your name on it and when you give a few bottles away as gifts to friends or relatives, they not only rave about the taste of the wine, but that you made it yourself (hee hee with the help of Marquita, Mary and Trista of course). Later this month I will be taking the beginning wine course to overcome my fear of making wine by myself in my own basement with my own equipment. My goal is to make that leap eventually with the continuing help of the staff at Grape and Granary of course :-)
