Mike was very knowledgeable and helped me buy my first camera. He suggested the Panasonic LumixG as a good starter camera. I’ve been playing around on the camera learning all the functions and so far I love it! Thanks Mike!

I went in today for a trigger, with no idea of what I was doing Jessie McDaniel was the biggest help I’ve encountered. He answered all of my questions without making me feel stupid even though I sure felt it. He got me what I needed too! I will definitely will be back! Thank you Jessie!

No greeting when I came. There was two sales persons and 2 customers. I did a quick look around, prices are on the high side, but sometimes its worth it for local advice, conversation. The employee who assisted me was definitely not as knowledge about their products as the other. He did not really help me find what I was looking for and never asked me how I wanted to use it (my purpose) especially as I was looking for one thing and picked something different because he provided no assistance. This was on Saturday and he was a Caucasian male.

Dodd’s has exactly what I was looking for. Needed a battery charger hard to find but they had it right in stock and were super helpful! If you’re looking for anything with camera needs this is the place! Local and friendly!

Excellent prices and very professional, knowledgeable staff. Had several rolls of film developed that were over 20 years old, but they recovered them. The prices they have for used equipment is phenomenal. I actually asked them if it was worth upgrading to a certain camera they had for sale, and the guy gave me an honest answer, no. Ill definitely be coming here for all my camera needs in the future.

Thought I go local but very disappointing. Wanted to find out about the mirrorless EOS RP and looking for some help/ picture quality compare to my older FZ1000/ bridge camera but the guy behind the counter had no idea only, yes it is a good camera but we do not have it in stock but I have a Canon here and than mixed up DSLR and mirrorless, not very convincing and NO help at all. Surprised based on all the good ratings but will not go back nor spend any money there.

They dont appear to carry older auxiliary items (which I can understand). The man working the desk suggested that I go to Batteries Plus for the camera battery I needed. When I asked where the store was located, he said he didnt know. Turns out it was about a quarter of a mile away. That struck me as a bit weird.

Prices as good as big box, but with very personalized and knowledgeable staff. Helped me find the perfect camera for my needs.

Over priced. They wanted $130 for a really nice backpack. I got it online for $50.00 less. I probably would have bought it there even if it was $10 more than online, but $50? No way. I rather buy local, but not at that expense.

My experience with Dodd Camera Fairlawn store was very pleasant! The young man Tommy was very nice and helpful. He was very patient to edit my passport style photo till I was satisfied. The service he provided exceeded my expectation. The other gentleman Ken was also very friendly and helpful. Thanks!

I’ve only recently visited Dodd Camera in Fairlawn. In my two trips to shop I’ve found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are very willing to spend time helping customers and sharing information. The store is fairly small so they don’t stock everything that’s available online but their selection is good and their prices are competitive.

Today I visited Dodd Camera to pick up a Nikon D610. Upon receiving the camera, it appeared to be a display model. I asked if that was the case and inquired about the shutter count. I was informed that the camera was not a floor model and that neither a lens nor memory card had ever been connected. I buy the camera spending close to $1600 only to get home and check the shutter count. Instead of the shutter count reading ZERO like a brand new camera should it read 3,887!!! So much for this camera being new! I will be returning my camera in the morning and dealing directly with Nikon. They just lost a customer!

The people at the Fairlawn store are always very knowledgeable and patient. They answer all my questions, from beginner to advanced, and let me handle or try out all the lenses, packs, gizmos and other. They know their stock and look things up quickly. The people at the big Cleveland store were a little distant, but I know what I was there for and got it quickly.

The owner is highly knowledgeable and all of the employees are actual photographers. My dad and I went in and commented on one of the photographs hanging on the wall and the owner actually took that photo. The service was quick and painless and Id go back again.

My experience has been great with Dodd Camera. After camera researching online, I had a good idea of what I wanted. Dodd Camera is well stocked with different camera makes, models, and accessories. Jessie McDaniel was friendly and patient. He showed an Olympus camera to me which was one of the cameras I had in mind. He demonstrated it and let me take some pics and videos. I did not feel rushed at all. I ended up buying it.After spending a few days with this camera, I am having doubts if this one is for me. So I called the store and spoke with Mr. McDaniel. I will go back with my laptop and he will help me to set up everything so I can determine if this camera will do what I need. If it doesnt, he will continue working with me to find what I do need.After purchase you have 10 days to decide if you want a refund. After that you have 30 days to exchange it for something else from the store. That seems fair to me. The cameras price was the same if I were to buy it from Amazon. Id rather buy from a local brick and mortar store a high end item that has so many functions. Real people will help you with high quality service at this store.

Was my 1st time in a Dodd Camera store. Jessie waited on me and was very nice and answered any questions I or my Mother had. Ill be going back :)
