Such a cute and cozy spot to eat breakfast or lunch. Best part is all of the owls everywhere! One of my favorite animals! My first visit here was takeout and had I not been pressed for time I would have sat down at one of the cozy booths. The food was delicious 😋. My daughter loves breakfast and ate her kids breakfast like a champ! My husband had the biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns and bacon and it was gone before I could even get a picture. I cant be upset though, because I ate my Grandmas in Town plate before I realized I didnt take a picture of mine either. Needless to say, well be back and Im sure itll be delicious again.
This was an awesome place... The kids being able to paint while we wait for our food was a brilliant idea. Are little girl is a busy body and painting kept her busy! Everyone was so nice, and the food was good. We will be back!! Thank you for an amazing experience!
Found this through Google maps. Amazing! Excellent food! So many choices! Eggs were perfect, hash browns were crispy. Coffee was excellent! A quirky funky decor. Worth it just for the decor, but seriously good food and wonderful service, too!
I was searching for a breakfast spot near my job and this one pulled up 1st. The food looked delicious in the pics, but OMG it was even more delicious than I imagined. Definitely the best breakfast I have had out in a while! Will order again
One of the best breakfast experiences Ive ever had. Great food, super fair prices and really kind/friendly and accommodating staff. Fun little outdoor patio too, which I really enjoyed. Highly recommended!
A hidden independent gem in Firestone Park. A funky, fun little place for coffee and breakfast and lunch. Breakfast (I had a bagel, egg, sausage and cheddar sandwich, my daughter had the biscuits and gravy) got rave reviews. My granddaughter and my wife found the burger to be a bit over-seasoned, but they were big and juicy. Bagel and buns were fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly, and worked hard to make sure our order was correct. They serve coffee from the Pearl Coffee Co, an excellent choice- I recommend the Cuban style. You can even paint a picture with canvases and paint available. Customer art is displayed all over the room. We will definitely return.
I really wanted to like this place. I brought my mom here for her birthday and the place was decked out for Halloween, the atmosphere looked so cool. When we walked in the whole restaurant was smokey, like from them cooking. Smelled good at first but it became kind of obnoxious when you sit there for any length of time, and it was too cold to sit outside comfortably. We waited a while before a server came over. While we were ordering the server just seemed annoyed we were even there. As we are ordering, she tells us this and this and this are out. Normally you tell the customers in the beginning when you are out of items, especially when it is significant items like espresso at a cafe and the whole middle section of the menu is out. So we figured out what we wanted based off what was left and then the server says they are an hour behind... Okayyy, so we are willing to wait, the restaurant is cool and we dont mind. The last straw was asking the server to please wipe off the table. When we got there another employee told us we could sit at this table but it needed cleaned off. And it was the only available table so we sat down and waited. The server never acknowledged the table needed wiped off despite the very visible crumbs and messes on the table and was very rude to us when we asked for it to be wiped down. She said it was already wiped down. Ok maybe it was but someone must have sat here since then and made a mess?? Like I dont understand, we have been very patient waiting to order, ordering off your limited menu, willing to wait the hour, but you still treat us so rudely. It was enough to make us leave before we even got our coffee. I feel like if it had been anyone else serving us we would have endured the smoke and menu and wait time, but she really just ruined the whole chance of us staying. Why should I spend my money and time at a place where Im treated like an annoyance for even being there. Really disappointed. I have a lot of tolerance for servers because I know what they have to deal with but her attitude was entirely unnecessary.
Always loved this place, until they started treating it like a traditional restaurant. Service has not been great - I will limit my visits from now on. Could not get anyone to come back to my table to check up, my muffin was frozen. I waited so long it started to warm itself.😟
Straight forward menu and good bang for the buck. My only gripe is the interior. I know they are going for something unique but nobody wants to sit in a DARK and I mean dark -as in lit by a few strands of Christmas lights cafe. It’s mainly a breakfast joint so regardless of what the owners are going for I would suggest lighting the place up a bit and PLEASE clean the fryer vents it reeks of old fryer oil in this place.
We visited this morning for the first time to get some breakfast, and it was absolutely amazing!! Cederic was incredible and took such good care of us, the atmosphere was so comforting, chill and unique! And above all the food was delicious, got the biscuits and gravy and my wife got the pancake breakfast and all for a great price! We will definitely be frequenting here as often as we can :)
Delicious food! Especially recommend the sausage gravy. Communication was a serious issue, as I kept having to ask for things that they had forgot. I ended up getting everything to go because by the time I received all of my seven my food was cold. That being said, everything was delicious and reheated nicely. Edit: still only got six. No cheese. Have a sense of humor and appreciation for the absurd if you go here :-)
In town visiting my fiancé family members. I’m a big fan of small businesses. The environment seemed so artsy and relaxing from the pictures. Arrived and the place was just that. Quite, art everywhere, relaxing and etc. I loved the tree in the middle. Super cute! Food was GREAT. I loved how they also have turkey products(unlike most places). I would totally return except I would probably sit outside due to the improper ventilation system while cooking. After about an hour, my eyes started burning.Other than the ventilation this is a MUST TRY!!!!Food tastes like it’s home cooked instead of restaurant style. 🥰🥰Loaded hashbrowns are to die for.(bacon, cheese, ranch)Would be a 5 but the smoke while cooking dropped it down.
SUCH a cute place. The music was awesome. The atmosphere was so electric and fun. Service was great and the FOOD was 10/10! Definitely support this business you won’t regret it!
The food is always amazing! They also have art supplies on site so you can paint and create something cool!
Very pleasant experience and I like that they serve breakfast all day. I had the turkey club on a toasted pretzel roll. The turkey was hearty. The lettuce was a nice spring mix, the mayo was lush, the tomato was ripe. Prices here are very reasonable and we ate outside on a beautiful day. The cafe really adds value to a unique and oft overlooked area. I will be back.
Small, local. Reasonably priced good food. Nice folks. I like the eclectic decor. Only gave 4 stars due to having shells in my scrambled eggs and a burnt bagel. They did offer to replace it but I didnt want to wait.
Great service and food just alil smoky in the building from cooking but love the place ❣️
Cool and eclectic atmosphere with excellent food at a good price. A fun place to eat.
A cute and creative place with great food and staff. Support a local non profit through art!
A cool looking place on the inside, decent coffee but where this place absolutely drops the ball is organization. When you walk in, you have no idea where to go. There is no one directing customers where to go, the food, both pickup and dine in take forever according to the customers complaining around me and the ventilation is non existent. You shouldn’t have to leave a place smelling like everyone’s breakfast. The staff here seem to be hard working but the lack of any sort of organization for dine in or take out shows. My current to go order was to be ready 22 minutes ago and counting. If they used half the effort improving in organization as they did at decorating the interior this might be a place to return to. After finally receiving my food, it was pretty good. Breakfast sandwich on a bagel, comparable to some of the better diners in the area but nothing that stuck out.
BEST BUSINESS TO HIT THE PARK SINCE FIRESTONE RUBBER FACTORY.EVERYTHING THEY COOK MAKES THE WHOLE PARK SMELL DELICIOUS !
Love this little hidden gem. Good food and good coffee. The inside is like entering a fairy tale. I love the fantasy vibe. Very cool little place. The art and amazing food makes it a wonderful experience all together. I highly recommend checking it out.
The atmosphere of this place is beautiful! However, food service was very slow and sub par. Drinks were great and something I would come back for.
I found out about this place accident. It was by one of those annoying Instagram ads, the name was so cool that I wanted to know more about it. I finally had time to check it out today, I liked it, to be honest. The prices are very low and the portions are a nice size. I first tried the burrito for $5 and added a hash brown for a dollar more on the suggestion of the server he said it was good this way. It was ok but you definitely need something to dip it in i used my syrup to start, but I then just ended up asking for hot sauce. I also tried the breakfast platter it too was $5 and the bacon was cooked perfectly! Now that they’re serving burgers, I’d come back it was good experience.
Good food but it took 25 mins to get two iced coffees and 10-12 mins to even get our order lol
This place is totally awesome if you want quit time and love, love, love art . They also have great food . Their service is excellent .
A walk in the park Cafe is a very nice restaurant with a wonderfully pleasing aesthetic that is frequently changing. The food is most of the time very good with the occasional mishap as with any restaurant. I usually come here to order breakfast and the bang for the buck cannot be beat with large tasty meals for cheap. My only complaint is that the place is usually in a state of disarray and is sometimes a bit dirty on the floor. If someone kept up with cleaning more I would give 5 stars, but I would still highly recommend them to anyone looking for a cheap delicious meal.
Such a wonderful cafe! Food and drinks are top notch, and the whole place is so neat and charming!
They made our doordasher wait 31 minutes for our order, then told him she gave our food to another person, then said we would have to wait at least an hour for our food because there were 12 people ahead of us (who had ordered after us) in the restaurant. We had already waited over an hour. And then we were told all of the people who ordered after us were a priority. Worst place and service ever.
So I visit this place with my duties for Postmates and once I walked in I was taken away almost like a breathless scene in the movie squad let me tell you it was the most coolest place Ive been in in Akron and its a restaurant. Squad check out the scenery The sounds the people that smells and it just looks amazing on the inside people my pictures I swear you will love this place lets go
I had a big breakfast and it was extremely big. It was awesome too! Highly recommend this place.
Forget going to a Starbucks, the atmosphere here is so comforting and cheerful! From the slight wooded feel of the furniture to the creative artwork the artists here have put on the walls, I absolutely believe this is the cafe that Firestone Park needed. Im definitely looking forward to walking here for my coffee before work!
Was beautiful to eat outside today. Good food!
Came up from Cincinnati to visit friends and camp at Nimisila Reservoir. My partner and I didnt feel like cooking and didnt want fast food, so we took a chance on this little cafe. Got there about 9am on a Saturday and were able to place our order and seat ourselves immediately. Hallee (sorry, I should have asked how to spell it) was super helpful and friendly, without being aggressively cheerful first thing in the morning. She was great. We were able to wash our hands in their lockable and spacious bathrooms, browse some of the fun items available for sale, and had our meal delivered to our table within 10 minutes!I had a breakfast sandwich with smoked turkey breast (a thick piece!) and pepper jack on a biscuit. Being from the South originally I am pretty picky about my biscuits, but I was perfectly satisfied with this one! Moist and fluffy while also having enough substance and shape to hold together as a sandwich. The hashbrown was cooked fresh and was deliciously crisp, the macchiato wasnt too sweet/the espresso didnt taste burnt, and the chocolate muffin we split was insane. Plus, who doesnt want the option to have Sunny D with their breakfast??So glad we decided to drive 15 minutes for a better breakfast option. I will have to find an excuse to come back here to try their burgers. 😃
Food was good they need to work on the customer service but besides that I rather order online. Just know a 7 for 7 is a sandwich
The owners, Jacobe and Jonas were very welcoming and friendly. The food was great and white mocha and chai latte were perfect. Very casual and comfortable place. I definitely reccomend it. I will return!👍👍
I have enjoyed Walk in the Park before but today I had to ask for a refund after waiting too long for my breakfast order. I was told 15-20 minutes but gave up after 30. I heard them tell someone else it would be 45 minutes! I know this is mostly due to online orders, but that is just too long. The establishment would benefit from limiting their menu to items they can actually produce in a timely manner. Additionally, the interior is so smoky, making the wait even more unbearable. Please prioritize figuring out the ventilation situation for future customers. Unfortunately I think this was my last visit.
This place is so cool...such a great chill spot..awesome environment, good food..
What a hidden delight!!! The food and the service was wonderful. The prices were good also.
I love this place! They have it set up very well. Our food was a bit late but we had plenty to keep my son (3 years old) & I busy. The food was also great! Ill definitely be returning!
Friendly. Quick. Tasty!
Every bite of my food (chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese and hasbrowns) was delicious. The atmosphere is perfect: charming, cozy, unique, creative. The staff is friendly, helpful and funny. I cannot recommend this place enough. I am so glad to have found it. I will be back.
This is a cute place with potential. The decor is interesting and suits its name. I ordered the breakfast and it was tastier than I anticipated. The worker was pleasant and welcoming. The atmosphere is quite and calm. A nice place to read or chat with a friend. However, the reason I visited was coffee with a friend. Perhaps I arrived with the thought that this was a coffee house. That it is not. The coffee was extremely watered down. This put a huge damper on the visit. Secondly, the smoke from the kitchen was extremely strong causing my eyes to burn and water. A new kitchen exhaust fan will clear this up.Other small things such as no stirrers for the coffee or condiments for the food also took away from the experience. This place has great potential, but just needs to address these small issues.
Unique atmosphere. The turkey club was thick cut real turkey and delicious.
First time here. Ive been wanting to check this place out so I ended up having a first date here. Not sure how the date went yet but the food and the coffee were very good. I got the iced chai and a sausage burrito. I like it so much I got a iced mocha to go. I asked the woman behind the counter about all the paintings and she told me how they have artists come and hang out on the last Friday of every month. Very cool. Definitely coming back.
Nice staff, place is nice, prices are good.
I will never come here again. Cook came from kitchen to mess with register with a handful of bacon. Didn’t change gloves or anything very disgusting I even took a video of it 🤢🤮
Our first visit, will not be returning. One star for the pretty atmosphere and great plants. Otherwise, absolutely subpar.PREPARE TO SHOWER AND DO LAUNDRY AFTER COMING HERE. I always expect a diner to smell like a diner...but this place was so smoky and unventilated I wanted to leave just to breathe before our food had even arrived, as we sat there absorbing smoke smell. We ordered two different breakfast platters and two coffees. My latte came to me cold/at room temperature, and was completely watered down. Our egg orders were switched. I mentioned it before we realized we at least had both egg orders on the wrong plates, and the waitress just awkwardly stared at us and did not offer to correct the error. Which was okay except we had to messily switch around all the other items on our plates. They were out of regular sausage on a Sunday, presumably one of the two main days for breakfast. Just a hot mess.
Beautiful place, good location, very friendly staff.
So much food for such a great price!
Super cute, friendly and awesome food. And you can paint a canvas while you wait for your food.
This place is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious, same with the drinks it tastes real and not fake and overly sugary. The decor is amazing and same with customer service. I’ll be coming back every weekend
Good food in a relaxed eclectic environment
Second time calling in order and when I go to pick up they lost ticket and just don’t know what happenedSeveral times try to place order and they are out of food before noonSmall cozy and trying but really?? Need to do better
Ended up leaving after waiting an hour with no food.
Very eclectic atmosphere friendly service and the atmosphere is constantly changing they said from day today they change the look on the inside of the place and it’s so neat
Very poor service, no good food, very expensive
Great place to eat. Good food and good service.
0rdered online and got text food done. Get there and no order. Hour and 30 mins I finally get what I ordered. Smdh never again!
Very original place food was really good nice staff/owners? Will be back we all enjoyed it
I always ordered their food from door dash and it was good. I decided to go in (post Covid) with a friend one day, food was just as good, but I was blown away by the inside! They have crafts, tv, all kids of stuff.
Great food, friendly staff, and they often change around the decorations and layout with the seasons which is always interesting and new. Outdoor seating is great and they have smoothies and ice-cream! One of my favorite places to go for eating in or taking out.
Good coffee, great burrito! (breakfast) stop in almost daily 😉
Artsy, eclectic, fantastical theme. Relaxing. Canvas painting available. Good food, great prices.
Great place for breakfast! A gem in Firestone Park, 😊 will visit more now we found such an eclectic and cute cafe!
Atmosphere is interesting, the people who work there are nice but the food is not worth it. I ordered a burger with fries and it took over 30 mins to come to the table. Everyone else was half done with their food. The burger was decent but the fries were cold even after waiting that long.I like to support local small restaurants but it was just a disappointment
Absolutely incredible. Its got such a comfy, unique, artsy, akrony vibe. Friendly staff and good food. There are plenty of places to grab brunch, but Ill definitely be back. So much art to look at.
Food was absolutely comforting, well made. There are tables outside which makes for a very peaceful and relaxing meal. If you have not been here I say take a friend or friends or enjoy it for yourself!
Love the biscuit breakfast sandwiches! Cool spot, good coffee. Looking forward to trying a few more speciality items from the menu
Cutest little cafè with great menu items! The decor is amazing, and lots to do while you’re there. Truly a hidden gem in Firestone Park!
This restaurant is a quaint little artsy spot. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Excellent food and good coffee. I and my one daughter had breakfast, good portion sizes, inexpensive very affordable. My daughter had Turkey bacon club and a salad, she loved it. I didnt know this place here, its a gem and Akron needs more sports like this. Casual and cool(yessss) . Staff was very friendly and courteous. Service is good. Only complaint is it gets a little smoky when theyre cooking, they need a very good exhaust fan. All in all it was a good experience and Ill go back. I recommend Walk In The Park for good casual food in great atmosphere.
