Shopped there for years, both commercially and personally. I couldnt be happier, both with their products and services.
The guys and gals at this print shop are just GREAT!! They have on numerous occasions taken my late and short notice e-mail print requests and got them printed for me in a hurry. I am most grateful to each of them for doing so. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
This place used to be so good when Lindsay was in printing. Since she left it is terrible at best. I needed business cards made and the GM was behind the desk. Told me he didnt know how to do this and he would have his employee call me to get them made. Six months later no call. Shouldnt the GM know how to do this job? What a joke this place has become.
Entered the store looking to buy a nice filing cabinet and some other supplies, couldn’t get anyone to help me. So I left and bought it at Staples instead! Weird vibes from the employees from the moment I stepped in the store. And it was like super quiet....just weird and uncomfortable
Came in this morning to get some work items printed and Brittany in the print service department was exceptional. Helped with the lay out to look better. Very friendly. you have a great assest with her
No employees wore face masks. Will not shop there until covid is gone. Tho everyone friendly and helpful.
Stopped in to get a planner for 2019, and a mouse. The young man at the check out was polite and respectful. He suggested a warranty on the small device we bought for our friend. The plan was very cheap.
Laura was very helpful in the print center and even told me how I could get cash back for my old printer cartridges! Will be a return customer!
It was extremely hot inside the store. And it seemed like the selection was poor and the prices were kind expensive for simple things like clipboards
I’m a teacher and I tried to get assistance in buying a class set of three hole punch folders rather than pay $.99 per folder. When I asked, I received no assistance and no manager was there to help. The cashier acted like he had no idea what I was talking about even though I showed a picture of a box set from staples. No one could help, and no high management was available. I will be shopping at staples for my classroom from now on. Horrible service and no other customers were even in there.
OfficeMax just isnt what it used to be. Full disclosure: I used to work there, at the Fairlawn location, store #0011. The corporate headquarters used to be in Chagrin Falls before the company sold to Boise Cascade and the headquarters moved to Chicago. A giant shakeup and restructure destroyed company leadership, and even tho I was just joining the company as this was happening I could tell it wasnt for the better. After a couple years and, surprisingly, what seemed like a decent amount of growth, OfficeMax just couldnt stand under its own weight and started to fall apart. Part of this process was the dismantling of much of its ImPress print centers, of which I managed one. My job was eliminated and no attempt was made to offer any lateral transition so I was handed a severance package and a handshake. Fast forward to the other night when I stopped in to price some Micro SD memory. No greeting. I saw two employees huddled behind the Customer Service (that name should really be changed) desk and another one on the furniture pad talking to a customer. I found the memory and noted their prices and proceeded to check their prices against Best Buy down the road. I was there maybe 15 minutes when one of the associates finally walked by and asked if I needed help, then a fourth associate came out to merchandise a section near me and did the same. I asked this one a question and got some misinformation about the product about which I was apparently better educated, then I left to take my business to Best Buy. The only reason this store is still standing is because the company owns the land and the building on it. Theres no way they could keep the lights on if they had an ongoing lease... but I still expect to hear about its closing any day now...
While the store is clean and well-kept, it was poorly staffed on a busy Saturday. We received no help when wanting to purchase a tablet. The only cashier in the whole store paged a salesperson, but they never appeared. Took our business to another store, but not before seeing two salespeople talking and goofing off in the back on our way out.
Pretty standard office supply store. Staff was helpful.
Decent store usually have what you need. Easy parking snd good stand alone location.
Its summer and inside the store feels like an oven! Its impossible to shop in a store that hot, no wonder no one was shopping.
Unbearably hot inside the store in the summer! Cant stand the heat long enough to shop.
A nice place to shop for your office needs.

Used the fed ex location, 17$ to put something in a box and add packing peanuts, that wasnt even the shipping cost. overpriced.

UPDATE : 11/07/2021 - This store is closing forever. Everything is on clearance. OfficeMax does have everything you could ever need for an office. They had a great office chair on sale for $99.99 and that was $80.00 less than the original price. It does require assembly. You could pay $15.00 for assembly if you wanted to though. Some of the items at this store do appear to be a little more expensive than at a cheaper store like Target, but everything is in one place at OfficeMax. Overall we were very happy.
