The staff is very knowledgeable about different types of pointe shoes and is great about taking the time to find the perfect style and fit. Very kind and accommodating as well.

Stage Center was phenomenal! My granddaughter had an appointment for her first pair of toe shoes. I never thought it would take so much time and effort to get my granddaughters first pair. She tried on numerous pairs. I thought they all looked wonderful...UNTIL Heather, the lady who helped her, brought out another pair of toe shoes AND I got goosebumps! This pair fit Hannah like a glove. Look at the pictures! Heather spent at least a half hour with Hannah, making sure she had the perfect shoe. Heather certainly knows her job! Heather was very pleasant and personable! Im sure Hannah will request Heather again when she needs her next pair! Friendly and organized and clean store. Many, many leotards...all sizes, cute accessories and I also saw tap shoes! Definitely a fantastic store!

My daughter always enjoys coming here for new Pointe shoes. They definitely always take whatever time is required for a proper fitting. 5/5

Small family owned business so Im happy to pay a bit more. The staff always knows what theyre talking about and are always friendly. Just so you know, parking is around the back.

Excellent staff

It was okay!The lady there was somewhat intimidating. It was my first time there. I hadn’t done dance in a while and was thinking about starting it again. I had gone, hoping to try some stuff out. I had gotten there close to closing time and when I went to quickly ask about some Dance Paws, the lady cut me off very quickly before I could even ask. I knew what my size would be, yet she wouldn’t hear me out. I was already very anxious as I have social anxiety and was nervous about not looking enough like a dancer and being judged. Even though she didn’t know that, her actions made me pretty upset, and I ended up not getting what I came for. I’m hoping next time I go, that I can advocate for myself more and that the service is better. But there is a wonderful selection of items and I wish I had more time to take it all in.

Stage Center is an amazing dance store that has almost everything you would ever need. It has such a welcoming environment and people who actually know whats happening.

I have been shopping at Stage Center for years! I went in today for a leotard and tights for my child, I know her sizes since she has been in dance for 6 years. The lady helping me looked at me like I was crazy when I went looking for my daughters tights and insinuated that my daughter would need larger tights because she might be bigger in the middle. I was offended, as was my husband who was with me. When I need something, and I know what sizes, please do not second guess me. The last 2 times I have been in, the same lady has been rude to me. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Brought my daughter here for a professional fitting of new tap shoes. Her old shoes were a little too tight. They had my daughter fitted for a new pair and would have me believe they were perfect fit and wouldnt sell me a size bigger. Brought them. Out grew them in 4 months. Turns out these new shoes are the same size and brand and styles of her old ones. Stupid me. Shame on them.

Highest level of specialty products. Highest level of specialty knowledge relating to full spectrum of dance with particular attentiveness to area of ballet. Really wonderful to have a specialty store like this in Akron area so that all the fitting can be done in person and with knowledge as opposed to choosing based only on price through the internet.

A wonderful dance apparel store! A huge step beyond the typical suburban dancewear provider that supplies items almost exclusively for (female) students. They can take care of the newest and youngest, while still carrying varieties and brands that professionals want, and they actually normalize the fact that MEN dance by offering variety, and knowledgeable service.

Nice Family Business. My daughters dance / theater shoe fell apart. This was after one Play. 4 shows. We returned them. Explained what & how, what school / stage and CREDIT good honest folks exchanged IN WARRANTY. THATS HOW YOU DO BUSINESS.

Took my daughter to the Stage Center for Pointe shoes. The lady that assisted with the fitting was very professional and knew what she was doing. My daughter enjoyed the experience and was very complimentary of both the service and the variety of options available. We were offered a discount which made them more affordable than an alternative store previously used for pointe shoes.

The ladies here were incredibly helpful and patient with us.

I guess it depends on the time of the day you visit. We went earlier in the day, waited almost an hour to try on shoes and had to leave before we were ever waited on. When we visited after 5:00 we got right in and the service was very good.

Great place and the owner is a stand up guy!

My experience at stage center was not very pleasant. Me and my friends went it to look for a leotard for our halloween costume and the women that checked us out was very rude. I felt like she was rude to us because we were shopping for halloween and I don’t appreciate that at all. We treated them very nice and we are still paying costumers. She made sure to not let us return them or if I could I would return them and take my business else where.
