David, Fred and the staff at Alameda Auto Care have always been efficient at diagnosis and fixing all our cars. They are always polite and talk to me in a way I understand what my cars problem is and how to fix it. We have a 1967 Mustang that needed a lot of body work and new paint. Dave and Fred were able to get it looking great and running great with a new engine. We will never go anywhere else with our cars.

I have always DIY’ed maintenance on my cars and was taught at a young age to not trust auto mechanics. I finally crossed a line in life where I don’t have the time, and can afford it, and took the leap. AC Delco partner and strong reviews gave me confidence. I brought my (well-maintained) Chevy with an active check engine light to Alameda Auto Care. I knew what was wrong, what needed to be done, as well as most (not all) other preventive items I should address while doing that particular job. They called me with one more suggestion for a gasket to replace while in there. It was a no brainer, as someone who has high standards. The repair really exceeded expectations, and they addressed an issue (loose exhaust manifold nuts), at no charge, that had been driving me crazy for years. A week later I am still in awe at how pleased I am with their work. This seems like how having your car serviced is supposed to feel!

I have been taking my car to David and Alameda Auto Care Center for years, and trust that they will give me the best price for the services provided, and do a great job. Due to the large number of catalytic converter thefts in Alameda recently, and to a neighbor telling us that he saw a man in our back yard in the middle of the night last week, I knew I needed to protect my Prius. I called David, and was able ot bring the car in the next day to have this work done. I did call other places recommended on Next Door due to the quickness of their work and wanted this done as fast as possible...and in the end David was able to do it at a price that was in line with the other places, and he did it the next day while the others were quoting days to weeks before they could take me. I highly recommend Alameda Auto Care Center!

Alameda Auto has consistently provided good repair and customer service to my family’s cars for the past 3 years. They give good diagnostic advice and listen carefully to customer concerns such as budget and timelines. Every encounter with each person I interact with there is respectful, friendly, and caring. These guys do a great job and at the best prices. I got a new alternator installed by them, no problems. I buy my oil and oil filter and they change my oil for $25. Oil Changers charges me $50 for the same job. Come here for pretty much all your car needs.

I have come here many times-with many vehicles because they are honest, upfront and have never failed me. They could find a million things wrong with any car I bring to them because I am not a mechanic so I dont know what is going on and what needs to be fixed. They always fix my car, on time and correctly the first time. Another shop wouldn’t mount my new tires because it wasn’t rated at 186 mph when my car would only go 150 mph. The new tires go 168 mph. I came here and glad I did! These guys rock! They were $40 cheaper and even washed my car! How awesome! Totally coming back here!

Alameda Auto Care Center was one of the few places open on Saturday in Alameda. My car broke down on Friday night. I called at 12:20pm, brought my car in to the shop 15 minutes later, and by 1:30pm I drove off with my car fixed at a very reasonable price. Definitely coming here again! Thanks David!

I have used Alameda Auto care for two vehicles including standard service and body work. In every case they provided good service, honest estimates and fast work. I was especially surprised at the quality and price of the body work they performed.I definitely recommend Alameda Auto Care Center.

Although they did not perform the service for my car, they did alerted me to the fact that the part that needed replacement was under an extended warranty by the manufacturer which I was not aware of. Kudos for their honesty and high moral standards for customer service!!

David and Andy run their shop based on this very simple, yet often overlooked principal: prompt, genuine, professional service. They are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced- you can believe they will properly diagnose your vehicle’s problem(s) and fix it/them for a price that is fair (and well below a dealership!). I’ve been taking my 2004 Nissan Xterra to them for years - scheduled maintenance, squeaky brakes, and a few other things you can expect in a 14-year old car. Several times I have taken my car in for a sound and wasn’t charged one dime when they didn’t find anything wrong! They send text reminders for service and even give $ off your next service. I have never been told “Call and make an appointment, we are too busy this week” and I appreciate that most.

Ive taking my car there because it was close to my job at kaiser. I needed my axles fixed. They were fast efficient. I recommend David he listens and is very patient especially when a woman is describing stuff on a car. Lol now that I live in Sacramento and i still come down on Saturdays and he fix me right up!!! Andy/David and his entire team are very dedicated to their craft. They are consultative, patient, and cover all possible alternatives as best as they can before you commit to a job or give them the green light to work on your car. They endure all costs and potential costs & repairs are covered in advance. They go above and beyond the minimum and will work with you i.e. they may replace fluids and do minor touch ups etc if the bill is a substantial amount. They’ll cut u a break as best as they can. Like any relationship, they work in building rapport & trust with you. This is a win win for the customer and shop! I’m happy to refer others to Alameda Auto Care! This is my go to shop because it is very easy and convenient to make appointments and business is conducted in a quick, well organized, but informal manner so I get quality service from folks that are chill and pleasant to deal with.

My car was stalling intermittantly, which is hard to diagnose. They didnt quit until they fixed my baby. Price was reasonable. I love this shop. They diagnose, not swap parts. They have my business and loyalty.

Prompt and honest service.

I brought my car in for get my steering wheel fluid tube fixed because it had been leaking and they had told me that it would cost about $300. When I brought my car in David had told me that there was another tube that was leaking and told me that it would cost me about $700 instead of the $300 because now that theres two leaks that needed to be fixed. The actually told me exact amount everytime, I just cant remember or have the paper right now, so Im just rounding it up. They told me that my car could stay with them with no addtional cost until the parts came for them to fix it. My car was there for about a week. I really liked how David kept calling me to keep me updated with my car. Price is a little bit expensive but for mechanic and since there was two things that needed to be fixed it made it reasonable. They did a good job with my car, Its not leaking anymore. Also, liked how he contacted me on how my car was doing afterwards.Thank you David! 😄

The is by far the best Auto shop Ive been to. Ive never had any trouble with my cars after service. I brought in an old chevy they ran through its paces for me before I bought it- they gave me an honest opinion. David and Andy are good people, polite even when. they are busy which is a lot of the time, they are skilled, knowledgeable and honest. Call to. check for best time, or drop by they can schedule a time. I dont see their prices over the norm. I highly recommend their Shop. While youre waiting if its a quick fix, theres all of park st for food, drink, cvs and Valero Gas across the street. If you cant find a place to park at their garage, park best you can and theyll advise you further. Im bringing in my mothers old car soon, knowing it will get the service it needs.
