I needed to replace a motor to lift a solid one piece double door. Mike came promptly at the appointed time, replaced the motor and evaluated the springs that would balance the heavy door. He went home and found replacements that would take the strain off such a heavy door. He then showed me the app to sync with the door to close it if I had forgotten to. In addition to the two controllers that came with the motor, he gave me at no cost, a surface mounted controller for a door at the back of the garage. All in all, he did a lot more than just “install “ a lift motor and belt, and all the extras were done with a smile. I would be happy to recommend Mike and Zion to my friends.

Mike will take care of you! I first called on Zion Garage Doors back in 2015. Mike earned my trust & respect. Mike was quick to respond, identify and fix the problem for a reasonable cost. What really turned me into a loyal customer though was his taking the time to show me how to do the basic regular garage door maintenance. Fast forward to 2020 and my ancient garage door motor failed. There’s never a good time for this to happen; and in my case, the timing was impeccably bad. Despite having narrowed his general service area (I’m no longer in his regular territory) Mike was willing to first troubleshoot the issue over the phone with me and then send one of his technicians to fix the problem within a matter of hours. This review is way overdue! Many months ago our garage door spring broke and we couldnt get in the garage. It was Sunday, but Mike came over within a couple of hours and had replacement springs in his van. Incredible knowledge and very efficient. Highly recommend Mike. Mike was simply awesome!! 15 minutes after I left a message, he returned my call at 5:20 pm to book an appointment for the next morning. I have a very busy schedule and it made me look like a hero when I went home. The following day he arrived on time and installed the garage door like an expert. He went over every aspect in detail and showed me how to perform monthly maintenance and check the proper tension on the door. Mike came the morning after I called to ask for his help, which was plenty soon enough. He immediately told me what the problem was (a broken spring) and quoted a reasonable price to fix it. The fix took about an hour and then we discovered that the door drive was out of adjustment. Mike fixed that at no extra charge and then finally lubricated the hinges. Later that afternoon the door quit descending properly. Mike returned and pulled the drive open to fix that problem (worn gears - probably due to excessive load caused by the broken spring) at no extra charge. Mike is efficient and knowledgeable. I will certainly call Zion if I have garage door problem in the future.
