Owner is very rude and he may be good at his skill but I wouldn’t know because he was extremely rude.
I only shop here for shoes. I have extremely hard to fit, feet. Happy this store is still with us.
I took my favorite pair of boots to be re-soled here. He did such a beautiful job on the sole and the polish! The man I met didnt talk much but he is a very skilled cobbler. Dont let the other reviews scare you, he is just serious.
I came in to have my shoes repaired but realized I had left my wallet at the coffee shop down the street, so instead I told him Id return and the man became rude. In good faith, I tried to buy a small item with the few dollars I had in my pocket and he literally turned his back to me. Now, I know in some cultures that turning your back to someone extremely insulting. I can only assume he meant to tell me off. What a d!ck. On a positive note, Im a maker myself and from what I saw at his work station, the quality of his craftsmanship was above average.
I took in my custom orthotic inserts and asked him if he could replace the thin top Liner of my orthotics. He said yes. Instead he charged me $50 to glue another liner on top of the old one. So now my wonderful shoe inserts are unusable as they are now far too thick to wear in my walking shoes. I leave soon for a long trip so I have no time to get my custom inserts replaced. He’s too much of a jerk to ask him to fix it. BTW, I’ve given many businesses good reviews, and I’ve chosen to never give a bad review. This is my first exception—first unfavorable review. 😠
Peter and Jacob know their shoes. I trust them and have gone to them multiple times. So lucky to have a good cobbler in Alameda.Today, I brought shoes that needed soles redone and Peter couldve done them to make money, but told me they had a couple more months before they actually needed work.integrity.Peters not the most social, look past that and help keep local places like this in business. Go!
I went out of my way to visit this business today because I live on the west end and want to support the west end businesses. But I will never patronize this business again or recommend it to any of my friends. The owner was so disrespectful that he frightened me. Avoid this business!
This man is not a poditrist. He is NOT a diabetic footwear specialist. This is a shoe store and if you expect service above Walmart employee stuck here you will be sadly disappointed. He REFUSES to listen to what you want or need. His only concern (that he will keep repeating every other sentance) is how much you MUST pay over what insurance will cover. There does seem to be quality shoes and lots of accessories but HIGHLY suggest going online
He is skilled and focused. Ive had several shoes repaired here and he always does impeccable work. The owner isnt much for small conversation, but he is a very skilled craftsman.
Top notch store/service for orthopedic shoes and inserts. Peter has helped me with my chronic foot pain for almost four years, and for this I will always be grateful: thank you.
Wow. Perhaps there was something missing due to the language barrier, but seldom have I encountered a more unpleasant person! Pretty sure I did nothing to insult him, I questioned one of the shoes he sold...
Weve used this place for years. The owner does great quality work at a reasonable price.
Came in to bring my mother for an appointment and owner was very rude wanting to know why my brother and I was there and told us we had to leave cause he wasnt prepared for us 😒 If you are spending your money I wouldnt with him
PLEASE EVERY ONE DO NOT GO THIS STORE BECAUSE THE OWNER, THE MAN SO RUDE,CRAZY,AND DISRESPECTFUL WITH PEOPLE, I AM SWEAR TO THE GOD, I DON NOT WANT PURCHASE IN THIS STORE
