These guys were so honest and helpful. We went in telling them we believed we needed a battery and an alternator but they let us know it was only a battery which saved us hundreds. They also gave us a ride to and from our campground! We highly recommend this company!

If you want people who actually care about your vehicle, you need to go to these guys first. They dont try to gouge you on prices, they tell you whats up with your car thats easy to understand, they are friendly and professional, and they treat you and your car with respect. Im very sorry I went to the other places for years. Im glad I found them and they made a lifetime customer out of me!

I shouldve posted this a long time ago, but I was in there in 2018 for wheel bearing replacements. I was out of town and making a cross country-trip when I needed service and I didnt know where to go. The owner was super helpful and worked quickly to get me back on the road in the same day. 0 communication with there clients, charged double on a set price and took over a month to fix a water pump witch is a 5hr job max. That is both illegal and called prioritizing worlds worst service ever received. That place should be closed down immediately will be perusing legal action straight bul@!#$ what a inconvenience

Excellent job. Went in for a heater issue and they diagnosed quickly, ordered the part and completed in a timely manner. We asked them to complete a tune-up if necessary. They checked and determined it was not necessary which saved us a lot of money. Great job with integrity.

I had a great experience with Alamo Auto Center this week. I was passing through the area on a road trip and needed a quick oil change. They were able to take me in immediately even though they were really busy and had the job done as soon as I finished my lunch. Plus their prices were very reasonable and they felt trust worthy. The good reviews online is what made me come in and I was not disappointed!

This place is superb! So many businesses could learn how to operate a business from Alamo Auto Center. They are honest, experts, and very nice people. We are so glad to have come across the Alamo auto center a few days ago. My buddy and I are driving across country and we had no idea where to go when we started having car troubles near Alamogordo. We saw that Alamo Auto had great reviews and went to check it out. The reviews were spot on. These guys are welcoming, fair and honest, and a joy to be around. Joseph, Gary, Justin and Xavier all took the time to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They explained the situation with our van thoroughly, answered our questions, and showed us what was going on so we could see for ourselves. Not only did they know what they were talking about, but also helped diagnose our car for no charge and gave us some good advice on where to go from there. Excellent, quick and friendly service! We had such a great experience going to Alamo Auto Center for oil changes for our Nissan and Subaru. The service was quick and we even made some small talk. The owner pointed out some things that we should pay attention to and, unlike other places, he let us decide if we wanted to take care of the potential issues now or later rather than forcing us to get work done now.I definitely recommend this place and well be using their services again soon. :)

My drivers side mirror fell off after hitting the side of my garage, so I went to the dealership to order new parts and wanted to charge me an additional $110 to put it on. I came to Alamo Auto Center, and not only did they see me with no appointment, they also did not charge me it all. They put the new mirror completely free! Excellent service!

We just had to get an oil change and tire rotation while in town and we had the greatest experience! They were so kind and let our dog hang out in the air conditioned waiting room and were just as nice to her as they were to us! Mario told us that there was something loose as a result of the last people that did our oil change and informed us that we had a lugnut missing and replaced it for us. They were genuinely concerned for our safety and didnt just see it as another oil change, and have incredibly reasonable prices- highly recommend supporting these guys!

We were on vacation in the area from Missouri when we had a sudden issue with our fuel pump! Mario was very expedient with determining the problem and getting us in and out quickly! Xavier drove us to the Space Museum while our vehicle was getting fixed. The customer service was outstanding and quality of the work was superb! Teamwork is excellent! I highly recommend them!

Was in town to visit a friend, car broke. Alamo auto gets good reviews so I went there needing help. I left the car with them for four days to fix the rear wheel. Try said all was fine, just needed an adjustment. They totally missed that the wheel was wobbling freely and a stabilizing rod was broken. Even I saw that when the car was in a lift!! And they even did a complete inspection to make sure I would be fine to drive up to Santa Fe! Totally screwed up my travel plans when it was a fairly straight forward easy to see problem. Not cool guys. Totally not cool.

I was passing through town and one of my brake pads needed changing imedeitly. I stopped here because a few locals recommend them and Im very happy that I did. They were quick, professional and very friendly. Wish I had a shop like this back home. One more thing, the waiting room was probably one of the best I been in for an automotive shop.

Honest and excellent service. I have my vehicles here several times now and Im always amazed at the honesty and excellent service. I recently took a car in with a problem which stumped them for awhile. Once they found the problem, they determined it was a very easy fix and didnt charge me at all for all the diagnostics they performed! The car is now humming along and i had a very minimal bill.I will definitely bring my vehicles back Alamo Auto.

2 weeks with my vehicle no fix and no answers to the problem

I was given a quote of a approximately $100 to inspect my air conditioning unit in my vehicle. They said they wouldnt charge me for the inspection if I had the work done in their shop. I thought that was reasonable and agreed to do the work. I got the bill for over $500 and was upset. Their next actions determined the very high rating and positive review. I spoke with the owner, explaining the situation. I expected to have to argue, haggle, and compromise the bill down. However the owner was true to his employees word and stunned me with a $75 bill! I was so impressed that I decided to pay them $150 to cover some costs as a thank you for being so honest in their dealings. Take your vehicle here. You will be dealt with VERY friendly and honestly.

A a little over a year ago my Subaru Forrester blew a head gasket. Alamo Auto repaired it and all was fine. But this winter we discovered a very small oil leak. They decided it was their fault and covered everything that was entailed in correcting it. Quite a job! My little car runs great again and I hope to have a chance to put lots more miles on it. Im impressed with how well they guarantee and back up their work. Thank you all!

Xavier and his crew are the most honest car guys around! Had my cars a/c retrofitted and these guys did a GREAT job. 1 year later and the compressor went out...I called them and explained the situation and that is was within days of the warranty expiring. Xavier said he doesnt really worry about that too much and theyd take care of me anyway. Class act that is becoming more and more rare in this day and age. The only ones in Alamo I would trust with my cars. Thanks guys!

I was driving cross-country and my car overheated in Alamogordo. I was sure I was going to have to replace the radiator or something expensive to get back on the road. These guys saw me right away, ran some tests, and figured out that it was just a bad radiator cap causing the problems. They had me back on the road for next to nothing. Honest and trustworthy guys that know their stuff.

Steering wheel started shaking. I took my car here and the guy at the counter took time out to listen to my problem then he showed me exactly what the problem was.I was not charged a penny, they didnt make a cent off me yet I was very grateful for the service I received and I will not take my car anywhere else but here at Alamo auto center.

I found my car battery was completely dead. After getting a jump from a friend and going here without an appointment, I was seen and serviced instantly. Changing a battery is not difficult, but the staff talked me through the entire process and showed me exactly what the problem was using their equipment. I was very impressed with their customer service.

I needed a clutch replacement before Christmas. The expert machanics gave me great information on the whole process and what parts I would need. They found the problem was my clutch master cylinder was leaking. They ordered a new one over night and installed it before closing up for Christmas Eve. They were gracious enough to take me home and bring me back when my car was finished. In the end their expert advice helped me saved nearly $1200 on repairs. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

I did not feel welcomed here. The guy at the counter didnt greet me or anything, just asked what I needed while looking at his computer. I told him an oil change and he just started asking question like name, vehicle, year etc. I asked if they have dexos for my Chevy and he said no and that he cant help me then. Very strange.

I could have not been more pleased with the service and quality the guys put into my whole experience. My father has been a mechanic for 26+ years, and being so far away from home, I had to let someone else fix my Nissan Altima. I was impressed with the shop. Clean, open, and very welcoming. I was greeted as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. Steve came out to check out the problem (I had talked to him prior to bringing my car there) and he assisted me with all the information and even talked to my dad for me so I could make sure I wasnt getting screwed over. The owner (I cant remember his name) was so helpful and personal. He was cracking jokes and keeping up the moral of the office. He gave me a 10% discount to help me out with the price. The prices were right on point with the prices in bigger cities and the shop my dad has worked in. I had a huge job to do so it cost me a pretty penny anyways no matter where I went. There is a typical $10.** charge for shop supplies. I needed my car the next day and Steve called the same day I dropped it off!! He checked my tires, filled up all my fluids, and cleaned my headlights. I am absolutely impressed with this shop and the guys that work there. I met a handful of them when we were cracking jokes. It is the only place I will trust with my car while I am stationed at Holloman!!!

Good place for parts and are very fair in price

I brought in my F250 to have them check out the suspension because I was afraid one of my front axle seals was going out. Gary put my truck on the lift and inspected it with a fine tooth comb and found out that everything was in good shape and the seal that I thought was bad was actually just a dust seal and that I could just put in back in myself. He also hooked up the scanner because I had a check engine light on. after going through the codes he found out that it was a simple vacuum leak and he fixed it for me. When I asked them what I owed them he told me nothing, not a dime!!!!These guys are awesome!!! I recommend them to anyone needing any type of vehicle repair.Thanks Alamo Auto Center!!!!

Used Alamo Auto Center when I was stationed at Holloman AFB from 2011-2012. Took my classic 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL to them many times for various things - ALWAYS outstanding, prompt, and reasonably priced service! If I ever make it back out there, I will be a loyal, returning customer!

Been using this shop for years now. Everytime something breaks and I dont feel up to messing with it I take it to these guys. Had them do some work about a month ago and got a call from Xavier today saying they accidentally overcharged me $20. He was calling me so I could come pick the $20 up. Thought that was pretty cool they did that. All-in-all a great place.
