This place rarely disappoints me, waiting at the pharmacy could be improved, however the employees are all amazing especially Mercedes, shes kind and is vary outgoing shes willing to go out of her way to make you feel welcomed and shows her appreciation for your services.
I came in with my nephews to get a Covid shot it was a wonderful experience I didn’t even feel the shot I had no side effects whatsoever my arm was not even sore I could not believe it it is a great job and I’m 71 years old I even got a $25 At Walgreens give you to get the shot can’t beat that! Very nice lady that gave me the shot it was the most painless shot I ever had in my life and that is in 71 years she was very wonderful very professional!
This is my local corner store and its so unfortunate that the corporation says it closes at 10pm everyday and they consistently close around 9-9:30, I do not know if the manager Kent Ellis knows that they close early but this is a huge inconvenience for citizens of Alamosa. Also the worker Mercedes with the pink hair, is highly rude and disrespectful and will lock the door 40 minutes ahead of closing the doors in your face.
If I could give this Walgreens zero stars, I would. This is absolutely the WORST Walgreens I have ever been to. The pharmacists are rude and prescriptions take forever. Last month, they had me drive an hour to pick up a prescription they told me was done- only to find out it wasn’t and I had to drive back the next day. Do NOT go here! I am never filling a prescription here again.
Walgreens is a convenient place to pick up your medications. Their staff is always friendly, the store is well stocked and clean.
Walgreens called my 86 year old mother-in-law to inform her she had a prescription ready to be picked up. After visiting with her doctor last week, she figured her family doctor had called in the prescription. On a limited income she purchased the prescription for $75. Upon arriving home she realized the prescription she paid for was not from her family physician it was three bottles of eye medicine from a procedure completed several months ago. Her eye doctor did not call in the script and the pharmacy claimed the eye medicine was not part of an automatic refill. The prescription was not authorized by a physician or my mother-in-law. When contacting the pharmacy the only thing they could tell us was that they were sorry, they could not refund money or allow us to return the unopened prescription. Sensing we were upset, they transferred our call to the managing pharmacist. After a few minutes we were informed the managing pharmacist could not speak to us and that there was nothing that could do about it. Our biggest concern with this incident is the pharmacy filled an unauthorized prescription and billed a patron for their mistake. In addition to apologizing for their mistake they could also take accountability for it and makes changes to see that it didnt happen again. BTW my mother-in-law already had three bottles of the eye medicine and doesnt need three more!
The staff (Especially Melody) is always so friendly and helpful. Walgreens is always my go to for whatever I need from soap to cat food to just a soda. Melody makes a point to learn everyones name and gives them a big hello when they walk in. You guys are awesome!
I have been getting my prescriptions filled at this store for several years. I can only remember 1 time when it wasn’t ready and that is because my doctor didn’t send in the refill. Don’t blame the pharmacist if the doctor’s office doesn’t send the paperwork. AND I have heard some pretty rude comments from customers to the staff. Maybe you need to listen to yourself when you have a problem with them.
Took 3 and a half hours and 5 phone calls to fill a simple antibiotic. After having to return to the pharmacy for the 3rd time the grumpy old man closed the drive thru window while I was waiting and made me come in (contagious and burning a fever). Needless to say that was my last trip to Walgreens. They must be taking more drugs than they are handing out.
Walgreends should not get any stars. They used to be good several years ago. I live an hour away from Alamosa. I place my order for meds, they tell me its ready, I drive over there and guess what? Theyre not ready. The order was never placed, theres been a delay, they dont find any record of me placing an order. So I have to drive home, and come back the next day. I dont care if someone is rude or not, as long as I get my meds. But the skinny old lady is rude and I think she delays my meds on purpose.
If you need a prescription go anywhere else. Rude and not helpful in the pharmacy. Cashier upfront was super nice.
Extremely unreliable drive up. After waiting in line for 20+ minutes the drive up was closed. It wasnt even 6:30. Usually long waits.
Very horrible pick up drive thru customer service employees very rude. Waiting 2 hrs for a prescription is ridiculous
SAD and DISAPPOINTING. As a veterinarian treating a pet who lives near Alamosa, I asked my team to call-in a prescription of prednisone 2.5 mg tablets for the poor little chihuahua x beagle mix. The pharmacist Jerry was extremely rude stating this was not a formulation that the pharmacy carries or dispenses, nor would he order the drug for the client/pet (it is important to note that Walgreens corporation have the option of ordering differing formulations of standard drugs and has done this before nationwide and statewide for my patients). He then stated you couldnt just send it in? (referring to him being annoyed by having to get on the phone with my technician). Thanks to the terrible customer service of pharmacists like Jerry, this dog will need to find other resources to treat her life threatening meningitis in the remote mountain town. Thank you Jerry for us inconveniencing you from doing the job you are paid to do.Disclosure: I was formerly a stock holder in Walgreen Boots Alliance - I sold all shares today after this horrific experience.
Drive through
Pharmacy staff rude and unhelpful. Wife had a prescription sent to them on Tuesday. We stopped by yesterday to see why it hadnt been run through Medicare yet. Was told they needed more paperwork from Doctor. Today on their app it showed both prescriptions pending insurance approvals. When I checked this evening both prescriptions was totally removed. When I called to find out, after the second call because got disconnected, was told dont know what happened. Told to have Doctor resubmit. We will have Doctor send them to another pharmacy.
Walgreens is a great place
This pharmacy needs to upgrade its computer system-takes too long to fill 23rd. Pharmacy Mr is very nice & helpful but when he is not there there are some problems.
GreT Cuisinart service
Their Pharmacy staff always tries to do a good job and get prescriptions filled quickly.
I love this store! Everyone is very helpful and friendly. They have so many great products.
The customer service at this location is absolutely awful. I ordered a tiny order of 4x6 prints and and was told that it would take an hour when the kiosk said the pictures would be available in 20 minutes. The employee I spoke to was very rude and completely unprofessional.
When I had my Doc call in the Rx(s) I was over a 2hr drive away and called the Pharmacy to explain I would come in the following Thursday as I was on vacation and would be closer the next week. Picking up the Rx the Pharmacy Assnt said there were no Rx(s). I explained I was texted twice and beginning to get my phone out then said they were put back. When I explained I called to not put them away she said I must have called a call-center they never got the call. Then I started to scroll thru my call history on my phone out and produced the call history. When I did that she said the insurance companies require they put the RXs back. But when I explained I don’t have insurance coverage for prescriptions she then said it was a law which I knew was BS since other Walgreens do this without difficulty. When the pharmacist filled the RXs again he apologized, that they put RXs back cuz they run out of space. In other words the pharmacist assistant was a bold face liar. She could have just said they put them away - sorry, but instead it was better to call me a liar and then lie to me a couple of times. That’s the blond, thin, mid-height mid-50s pharmacy assistant. They should fire her, I sure she can be replaced; practically anyone else would be better.
I live over 45 minutes from this pharmacy, and even though they are the closest walgreens, THEY SUCK!!! I tried on three separate occasions to call before I drove there, but apparently they cant take time to help people on the phone. They place you on hold and then leave you there until you hang up. Normally after a few minutes the phone rings back to the pharmacy, well at this location they dont even address you, they just put you right back on hold, and continue to until you give up and hang up. Ive had to drive there each time and the service when you get there, definately not worth it. They are rude, unfriendly and provide terrible customer service.
Poor service, the medication integrity seal was broken. I was givin service by a rude woman. She said that if i could take it back so they could see if it was their fault. I waited for 15 minutes to get assisted by a rude woman who then hung up on me becore i could finish asking my questions.
When I presented to the pharmacy 2 days ago I let them know about my new rx insurance and handed them my card. Was told it was in the system and to call before picking it up. To verify it transfered okay. (Transfering was not by choice but I will not be using this pharmacy again once I get my rx).Ive been on hold for 15 mins after I was told by a recording that there was a problem with my insurance.
Store sucks closed to early weedays and weekends what good is a pharmacy if the dont fill scripts. Release from er and no pharmacies open at 6pm on sunday.
Completely incompetent Pharmacists and pharmacy techs. This was my first and last time trying to use this Pharmacy and I still dont have my prescription despite being there twice. I told them repeatedly that my prescription had been called in and left in a voicemail, they told me to call my Dr and tell her to do it again and she had to lecture them about how inconvenient it is to not check a voicemail when they are running a pharmacy. This place is nothing but a time drain, go elsewhere.
Slowest, rudest place in Alamosa! Worse than Walmart! Ive been waiting over an hour for a prescription that was faxed over 6hrs ago! Spent over an hour waiting, then told to get back in line, thats atleast a 20min wait! This place is ridiculous!
Its a clean store. Service has always been good.
Dr office called early & they said they did not have a prescription. I tried to get a fax number so the dr could fax but was disconnected twice & put on hold for over 10 minutes & still never got an answer.
Nice Service, Nice Store, Long wait for Pharmacy Services
The employee named Ryan is rude disrespectful, and tonight watched him climb over the register counter twice to go check an item in cosmetics. Will refuse to enter store if he is working. I have issues every time I am in the store with this gentleman
This store is ridiculous....why cant they be open later...at least a 24 hour pharmacy. I sat in pain all night long because I was released from hospital AT 10 pm and had no where to take my RX.
Kristen at the alamosa Walgreens is very rude and unprofessional
Good selection, clean store
Unfortunately I had to move my prescription somewhere else. The staff in the pharmacy have become rude, uncaring, and downright mean. I dont have to do business here, and until staff get an attitude adjustment I would recommend you dont either.
They follow me around like Im gonna steal and i dont steal it so annoying
Typical Walgreen store, just stopped on way through to get a few items.
Slow and rude. Extremely slow.
I was on hold for more than 10 minutesFinally some girl answered and say Walgreens please hold very awful service.
Despite all the other problems, this place sells the cheapest Adams State University clothing you can find.
