They always have almost all I am looking for. There are only one or two things they dont carry at all but I would love them to!

For me, Safeway has everything I need.Produce is fresh, and organic is available. Meats of all varieties are available and the help is there to assist you and answer questions.Prices are fair. Visit your local Safeway store.

Love the store, dont have them in Connecticut. Usually go to them in Maui, but Colorado this time.

We stopped for coffee creamer. All of the creamer in the brand we wanted was outdated. Went to the customer service desk to advise of the situation. She said - oh you must be referring to XXX brand. I really need to get someone back there to pull them from the shelf and then went back to what she was doing. My guess is that tomorrow the same cartons will be on the shelf. Beware of outdated product there.

Fast friendly staff. You should probably wear a mask here. Most staff and customers are.

Safeway is a clean, convenient store that it open later than City Market which comes in handy quite often. They have a deli and a bakery and you can usually find the best deal on meat. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The staff was wearing masks which made my shopping experience more comfortable.

Was driving through town and stopped to get dinner at the deli. The potato wedges were rock hard and dry like they were from a day or two before, whatever they put on the pasta salad was bitter, but at least the chicken strips were edible. Otherwise the store was clean and what you would expect from a Safeway.

I have always liked Safeway but it seems since Albertson took over they are always short of help and out of stuff and thats not just here but other stories I visited.

Safeway is like any other grocery chain. It serves its purpose.

Fantastic selections, good prices, great deals for cardholders, the place is immaculate and well organized and the personnel are engaging, friendly and helpful. Even the fellow customers are considerate and friendly. It is always a pleasant shopping experience. This is our go to grocery store when shopping in Alamosa. Highly recommended!

A laughable produce selection for a grocery store in a city the size of Alamosa. Dont go after 7pm if you are making a large grocery purchase, there will be one or no checkout attendants and you will be forced to self checkout. Save yourself the trouble and go to City Market.

Listen i was stopping in at the deli for brunch this morning before work. I go in they dident have the Nashville as the sign so clearly said, the lady behind the counter refused to make it for me... the potato wedges were starchy tasted freezer burnt, the chicken salad was flaky and bitter this is not at all what youd expect from a home town safeway was very disappointed in this location.

They had bananas whereas Walmart across the way had NONE! First time in a Safeway. They dont have them in SC.

I like this Safeway area’s parking lot it’s well lit at night and I feel a little bit safer with the lights being so bright and plus they have most of their products in stock in their store is uncluttered and they have a great staff is always willing to give a helping hand.

Was only one check out open and the rest are self checkout and the self checkout machine kept going off with the Bell and I had a $200 grocery order and I didnt want to go through the self checkout but I had no choice and it was pretty horrible.

Disgusting dirty store as we were traveling north on 285 through Alamosa. Used the restrooms, ladies had no paper towels during pandemic!

We stopped by to use the restroom and grab Starbucks. The bathroom is not the cleanest, though I did see someone cleaning it which is nice. (COVID) they had a sign that said masks required but they let a lot of people walk in without masks (and one guy with a dog that wasnt a service dog? Super cute dog though). They have one way aisles and spacing and the cart runner did an amazing job getting carts and sanitizing. Overall its a good stop. But if youre picky about your bathrooms you may look elsewhere.

Its overpriced for what you get. The plus side is their bakery. Its still a grocery store bakery, but their items taste better than walmart and far better than city market. Other than that, I dont go there much. We did buy a Family Meat deal for $20 that had a variety of raw meats.. it was ok, but we dont eat that much meat. Sometimes, they have a sale on salad. Other than that, i really prefer walmart. its always cheaper.

1st visit to Safeway and I was very pleased. Nice clean store and the cashier was extremely nice, helpful and made our experience impressionable. We will continue to shop there when in Alamosa.

I find this Safeway very friendly. Its very convenient for me to stop after work as it is very close to home. My biggest problem with this store is its cleanliness in the dairy coolers. Especially in the milk coolers. I have pointed this out several times over the last year but it never really gets cleaned very good. My son in law is a store director in Dallas and I know what standards he holds his employees to. I really think that this store could use a remodel. I have seen what a little bit of remodel can do at other stores in Texas that are in the Safeway family. Thank you

Awesome giant Safeway with an awesome Bakery and Pharmacy.It was odd that the sliced meat and cheese packages produced by Safeway were so un kept and only various ham was offered.Kind of sick during the Jewish High Holy Days from Rosh Hannah to Yom Kippur Sept 19 to 28, 2020.We dont do ham.Hats off to the Safeway in Monte Vista.Not only was the meat cheese slices were very well kept and provide beef an Turkey!

Changed from 3 stars to 1. 8/27/2020 at 7pm- cashier at fuel station booth stole my cash because he didnt have the patience to enter a split tender, and didnt feel like voiding the transaction. Had to resist the temptation to engage in violence and walk away without my money and pay at the pump via an overdraft charge to my bank. You guys cant just take someones money and then refuse to provide the service paid for.

Really dirty restrooms. Didnt want to use them at all but was only stop we made going through town. The associates that worked there didnt really seem they cared about greeting customers. The cleanliness of store seemed good. Didnt really venture through whole store but looked like they had good deals for labor day weekend.

Quit picking on senior citizens.

What a beautiful and clean store. The staff is very friendly. Items are fresh and well stocked. Good prices. We had Safeway in Montana the whole time I grew up and boy I sure like those stores. It was a pleasure shopping in one again. Im going to drive over tomorrow and stop in again. Im looking forward to it. Maybe I will see you there.

Management refuses to enforce the STATE MANDATED MASK rule with customers. There are several customers that come into this store on a daily basis and never wear a mask doing so. If you care about your health STAY AWAY FROM THIS COVID SPREADING STORE!

Its a good grocery store, but I mainly go in for the great customer service at the Starbucks located inside of the Safeway! They make my drink perfectly and are so sweet!

Good place to pick out dinner for the night while you are on the roadProduce and beef was fresh and there was a very wide selection. I briefly eyed a whole trout for under $10 and that looked quite nice. However we already had the steak in hand...Starbucks inside for a few iced coffees, in and out.

Close to town,store there now, used to be the old ortega middle school.
