Lightshine music is a true local gem.... part music store, part museum, complete with real humans and a funny little dog! competitive prices on accessories and you can pick up an instrument and play it there- or plug into different amps (not like on the internet) I go in there every once in a while when I dont even need anything just cause its fun.

Do not bring your instruments here for repair. I brought my violin in to be repaired and it was completely ruined by the worker. All it needed was for a small hairline crack to be filled. Instead, the repairman decided it would be better to sand off the varnish and stain which is impossible to replace and match to the original. Although I liked the store before this experience, I cannot forgive this kind of decision making. This would have been avoided if the repairman had simply told me how he planned on repairing the violin, but he did not.

Lightshine Music is open 10-6 during the week and 10-4 on Saturday. The actual location is a little farther south than Google has it, east side of the street. You can see it in Street View. Very highly recommended by the best local musicians!

I will never do business with them again. We had taken an alto sax in for pad repairs and it too over 2 months to be repaired and then were charged outrageously for it.

Ive lived in Alamosa for a number of years now, purchasing a total of 8 Guitars and numerous incidentals from LightShine Music.Not only have they all been quality instruments, but each sale was an honest, square deal, handshake at the end.No games, no rip-offs; wouldnt have it any other way.I would go to LightShine and see these guys over the big city stores, where you arent ever going to find a familiar face twice at the same store.
