The food is good, the service needs more attention and the place maybe some fixtures overall not bed.
Its the only place in town to get great authentic Mexican tamales. However they only do them on the weekend. The food is good, price is right, and service is adequate. The servers could give patrons a bit more looking after especially when they each only have 2 tables. It was early and not busy.
Very freshly made food. One of the best Mexican restaurants I have had.
I love the market! I enjoyed dining at the restaurant so much. The tacos were good & horchata but it is going down hill with the waiters (girls) are very rude.
Great food, service could be a little bit better but is a very convenient place if you want to eat and get groceries.
Best food ever and very reasonable prices
I used to love eating at La Orquidea. I had a recent experience that changed my mind. My son (11 years old) and I went to La Orquidea on a Saturday afternoon around 2:00 p.m. We went to the cash register to place a take-out order. We were second in line. There were about 12 Hispanics behind us in line. When it was our turn at the cash register, the Hispanic cashier purposefully moved away from the cash register without so much as making eye contact with us, went to the bar, and, speaking in Spanish, began assisting the Hispanics in line behind us. When the first Hispanic paid his bill in cash, the cashier made her way back to the register, made change, and then went to the bar to assist the next Hispanic customer. What the cashier did not know is that I am fluent in Spanish. My son looked at me and asked if we, two white guys, were being discriminated against. What other explanation could I give him for the cashiers actions? Wanting to give the cashier the opportunity to serve us, we stood at the register for another five minutes. Not once were we even acknowledged. Needless to say, we left....for good. For my son, the experience was positive. Lifes best teacher is experience. Im glad he was able to feel the effects of discrimination. Hell remember that experience for the rest of his life and when tempted to discriminate, those feelings will help him make a good choice. Unfortunately, however, Im not going to give him a second life lesson. Though I have spent well over $2,000 eating at La Orquedia, I will not return.
Love the grocery store and the authentic Mexican restaurant both. The cake are amazing.
Worst Mexican restaurant Ive ever been to!! Its impossible to get any service because everyone is on their phone. Then they messed my order up and got an attitude with me because of their mistake. I will NEVER go into that place again!!
Great food. Friendly service.
Lots of varieties of fruits and vegetables they also offer cooked food very delicious.
Power was out on one side of the store. I wait to order meat for 5 minutes. Bread is delicious here.
Food is excellent and the store is clean and has everything you need. The ice cream is incredible!
The restaurant is huge with high ceilings. The temperature in the restaurant was very cold. The menu is too big and very confusing. The waitress didnt know the menu and couldnt help us out with what to order. When our order came it didnt look like what we told the waitress. When we checked the cashier asked us if everything was okay we told her no, she said sorry. A side note the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious.
The seafood looks great we bought jumbo shrimp but the guys in the meat department couldnt understand English and the lady upfront that checked us out was pretty rude🙄
We went in to the restaurant part, sat down, and the 2 female waitresses stood and argued in Spanish who were going to get us. The lady from the front slammed menus on the table and said someone would be with us in a moment. The lady who brought chips out was nice, but the chips were hard as rocks. No one ever came to take our drink order or any order for that matter. Moral of the story: dont eat here if your white. Go to Rubys or los arcos, or chicos they are all much nicer and treat you as a human not a white person.
Great authentic selection!
Fresh produce and meat! Always great prices and fresh baked goods
Very friendly staff!! Highly recommend
Very Good Grocery Store &Good Restaurant Tacos Tortas Quesadillas Fajitas & More
Overcharged for drinks might need to update the menu prices?
Everyone there was nice and very pleasant 😊. It was a clean hotel and very nice.
The services is poor and the food is not fresh

Amazing food will return
Excellent food in the restaurant...
Paid $7.99 for a LARGE sandwich and a side of chips and salsa. Was very impressed!
I was amazed at their selection! The employees were so courteous, patient and helpful. I cant wait to go back!!!!
Always love eating here! Seems to be very authentic. I love the Tortas. They are huge and most times I get to have lunch the next day. I love the store thats attached also.
Food was awesome service was great
The staff there has never been rude, but theyve never been friendly either. They do their job and get people moving. I like getting produce and tortillas there. The pastries are decent too.
Service could be better but food and verity is on point
Tortas are the best around.
Great place to eat and shop
Absolutely delicious authentic Mexican food. Has a sit down restaurant and market. Service was outstanding!!
Expensive please to buy groceries
The attached restaurant has great street tacos. The grocery has the best selection of Mexican spices and fresh produce
Is good as of right now 2021 Coronavirus
Great grocery store and restaurant
Really good Mexican food.
It took way too long for the order to
Steak torta is awesome!
We have stopped here for years, the building needs some attention but the staff is always nice. I will continue to shop here.
Super cheap! Surprisingly, their bulk items are relatively cheap when compared to other places that only sell singles/smaller containers. The bread upkeep is anything but desirable its been full of flies both times Ive visited. Aside from that, so long as youre not getting any bread, its a pretty neat place. Prices are unbeatable.
Amazing selection nice employees
Best authentic Mexican restaurant.. worth the drive
Waitress was rude and the food was 👎
Mmm!! Its ok!! Good place to eat!!
Red pork tortas are addictive, hope to try more of the menu. Pico de gallo is awesome as well as their red and green sauces both of which will either make you love them or clear your sinuses or both 👍👍👍
Food is good but EVERYONE that works there is rude. If the food wasnt good, I would not go back.
Great place to acquire produce from Latin America
Awesome food sometimes they forget a couple items but always replace Them
Love the variety. Always have. But when ownership changed a few years ago it went down hill. Needs to be cleaned and needs friendlier employers.
Great food and great customer service 🙂
I was amazed at the amount of food you get for your money and absolutely delicious too
Good and Friendly service.
Horrible food very over priced store compared to other mexican stores
Bad service and the workers had bad moon
The meat seems out of date throughout the week. Weekends its fresh
One if the best Hispanic food stores.

Very authentic Mexican food. Supermarket next door was very interesting too. We will be back again.
Great selection
The food was delicious.
My daughter and I enjoyed going to La Orquidea . Her first time going. She asked me when we going back 😂😍
Oh may this place make you weist your time to much, bad customers service .
Great food!
Not so impressed with the service team members that I interacted with.
I bought a whole chicken, seasoned and cooked to perfection!! Great place to find a bargain and good food!!
Great place, food is amazing and the portion size is huge!
My husband and I went to have tortas. I havent been there in years but it was just as good as I remember. He has the chicken and I had the shredded pork. It arrived at our table so quickly that we didnt really have time to enjoy the chips and salsa. My husband also ordered rice and beans. He said the beans were delicious but the rice was a little dry. The server was quick with the plates and offering refills.it was a large amount of food for a good price.
I am eating the restaurant. First time there today. We ordered several different menu items to try. Tacos, burrito, tortas, and quesadillas. All were excellent. Loved the salsa. Prices are very low. Excellent bang for your buck.
Waitress are kinda rude & the is ok.
Now it has been a while since I have eaten here, but it is one of my favorites. The dishes I have tried have all been fantastic. I really need to go back.
Love this place ❤️❤️
Ordered my food on phone at 7:08 night they said 20 min. I get there waited 45 min and I ask them where my food is they said I did not place an order. I proofed to them on my phone I did. So took me 1 hour 20 min to get my food. Very rude people they make me feel like an outsider. Very disappointed. Do not recommend!!!!!
I love this place a lot! My most favorite thing to buy in there is the Agua de freza, they taste absolute amazing!. ¡También me gusta ir al restaurante también! 10/10!
Good
Horrible product, service and prices are outrageous for the quality.
The chicken tortas are so good
Man, let me tell you. Ive lived in Boaz for about 13 years now. La Orquidea in Albertville is about 6 minutes from my house in Boaz. So Ive known about La Orquidea for quite some time. It wasnt until about a year ago that I went to eat there and I was so surprised with how much the quality of the food improved. The portions, the flavor, the variety, the freshness. It has improved ten fold since my very first visit. Personally I love tacos de lengua. But you cant go wrong with the huaraches, sopes, quesadillas and many other antojitos offered. They also serve plenty of Tex Mex options as well. The flavored waters like: Tamarindo, Horchata and Jamaica are always fresh and feel homemade. Honestly, you cant go wrong with this place if you love authentic Mexican cuisine or Tex Mex.
Love the Tortas!!! And they have a nicely stocked grocery store next door that has popular groceries from Mexico. Kind of a cool peek inside the Hispanic culture in Marshall County.
The icecream is the best!
Plenty to eat and awesome dishes.
Terrible service if ur white
You have to try there tortas cubans

Great place if you like Mexican food. The corn on a stick and the corn soup are great. Good meat prices.
