I’ve never seen a place like this it is incredible to say the least. They have basically anything you could ever need to live an amazing outdoor life style, and their prices are the best part! The shopping experience is unlike any other as well! The employees give you a quick little tour of the shop if it’s your first time and then set you off to discover something great. They are always nearby to help with any questions, and are always trying to help you find what works best for you. There’s so much knowledge and kindness in this shop I cannot wait to go back!

Great people, the owner is very knowledgeable about the use and value of gear. If you are selling you will get a fair price. If you are buying there is a wide range, from decent quality that has been used to high end gear that is new or nearly new.

The store has many rules and is very unorganized. On top of that most of the prices arent that great considering its used equipment. The most obnoxious part is the sign on the front door. Regardless of how you feel about vaccinations or covid in general, it is a private store and they can make their own rules. But to say that people are being held hostage by those who excercise their right of medical freedom granted by this great nation and make us feel like the spikes in numbers are all their fault is needlessly accusatory and has no legitimate science to back it up. It is just bullying plain and simple.I will not be spending our hard EARNED money there.

Wow, this is my new go to place for outdoor equipment. Buying used and well cared for goods is much better than new. Best of all, since this is a consignment shop, youre helping someone else out at the same time youre getting a deal. The Manager, John helped me out by showing me how to set up my purchase and giving helpful tips for later use. If you have a need for new outdoor equipment or have too much gear and want to make something back on it. This is the place to go!

Not really sure where to start. If you have anxiety beware. We were given a long list of rules before we were even allowed to enter the store, then we were given a general layout of the store in one long run on description, and then we were told that we would not be able to shop independently, that we would need to be guided through the store one section at a time. It was a metric ton of over-information, heaped atop the piles upon piles of STUFF EVERYWHERE, which we were not allowed to touch. A surprisingly stressful and overwhelming experience when we were just looking for some used camping gear. Probably just the wrong place.

This store is crazy in the best way possible. They have so much stuff, and generally at pretty good prices. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful, you can tell the owner is truly passionate about his business. Me and my friends went there awhile ago and the owner even let one of my friends pay for his boots in separate payments. This store is like so store in a video game or something. super cool.

3 years ago (my first visit) this was a reasonably priced, fairly organized used gear shop. Prior to covid, Id seen a slight decline in organization but the shop was still reasonably priced.Attempted to shop yesterday, missed the notice on the door stating a queue was in effect (as the door was covered with junk). Entered the store and no employee was visible. Walked around for a couple of minutes and the employee found us and said we needed to wait in our car. No indication of how hed let us know when we could come in. No customers were visible at any point. The clutter and disorder was quite overwhelming. The desk area that had been the cash register wasnt even visible with the mound of stuff on it. The prices that I did see were significantly higher than they used to be for used equipment. If Im going to save 5% buying used, Ill just go to REI for new equipment in a clean organized store.I dont know what is going on with management here but this shop has nose dived hard since Covid hit.

Awful. Do yourself and favor and do not try to shop here. Waited outside for ~25 mins and they kept saying “uhhh, just about 5 more mins.” The old guy that works there is extremely rude and condescending as he explains to you “how things work here”, and as he explains the privilege of shopping there, he tells you as if you’re a child what you’re not allowed to touch, and the “hands in pockets rule.” And asked me “is this making a little bit of sense to you?” He forces you on a 10 min long tour before you’re even allowed to look around. He is so rude and the whole experience was uncomfortable, like shopping there was against the rules.

I went to Outdoor Regear looking for a specific item for a hiking friend. Not only did John have exactly what I was looking for, but he gave me a dos and donts lesson as well. If you are an outdoors person, this place is a hidden gem in ABQ! Outdoor Regear is a fantastic place with tons of gear for climbing, hiking, biking, skiing, and water-related sports. We visited for raincoats, and the shop owner, Mr. Mauldin, acted as our personal guide and assistant through the shop, giving us high quality advice on what to look for. The gear we decided on were from Eddie Bauer and Sierra Designs and were amazingly affordable. It was just our luck that a huge thunderstorm rolled in as we were checking out, and running out into the pouring rain with our new raincoats was thrilling. The gear held up perfectly as expected. Cant wait to take these coats to foggy, soggy Edinburgh!

Looking around by yourself, you may have trouble finding an item that you want, so talk to the staff. The owner is knowledgeable about the gear, and while the staff there are usually busy with inventory they will point you in the direction of the equipment that best suits you. Theres no aggressive upselling, -- (In fact I saw some of the opposite today: If thats why youre getting the jacket, why not look at these? Theyll do what you need it to do, but its not near as pricey. ) -- its just them making sure that you will walk out of there with the gear that best meets your needs.

I really love the concept of outdoor regear, but feel like they need to get a larger space, or simply get rid of some of the things that have been there forever. Have gotten some good deals here, but you have to look for a while or really know what you want - otherwise, ebay might be a better option for some. If it didnt feel so crammed/unorganized, Id give it 5 stars in a heartbeat. Staff is friendly and willing to help.

Super fun place to shop and browse. Its a consignment store for everything outdoor sport related (not football/basketball etc related). The owner is really nice and informative. However hes swamped with more product coming in than he can tag and hang, so half the place is a mess. But thats what makes it more fun... hidden gems that havent been alotted yet.
