Not worth your time or effort. This is a review for a residential property. We have 2.25 acres of land enclosed by chain link fence and a sliding automatic gate. A good amount of work to be done but this job request was phase 1 and rather simple/small.After countless calls and conversations with the “sales manager” Jim, David finally came out after a month or so to give an estimate.Once David did come out it took WEEKS later to receive the estimate. I had a question regarding the estimate as it was not broken down showing how much each item/ service costed. Two emails, two phone calls with voicemails, two texts later and NOTHING from David. The “sales manager” Jim is also not helpful/ has no idea what is going on. I’ve called the office multiple times and spoke with him and at this point I believe he is ignoring me. Terrible form of business.Their complete lack of communication makes me worried for anyone doing business with them. Their lack of time management should not be the customers issue and they were not able to provide any sort of timeline or scheduling openings in this entire process. Not convinced they have any knowledge or idea what they’re doing. Advised to steer clear and do a little more research to find a competent company.
This company is the worst fence company in town. They dont even rate one star. Work is sloppy and they dont finish the jobs. When you complain they just tell you they will call you back and never do.
DONT USE THIS COMPANY. We had this company build us a custom fence a year and a half ago. It cost us nearly 25 Thousand dollars. We are in need of repairs to the fence and have left several messages which have gone unanswered. The electronic gate has also had issues. We should have known and should not be surprised since getting them to respond during the install was just as ridiculous. We will never use them again and do not recommend them.
I had a fence installed a couple of years ago and went in for some parts and was treated very poorly. They acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. Very unprofessional. Before this I had no problems with them. Sorry, no recommendations from me any more!
The food taste spoiled I gift sick. So Ill never go back there again
The company was very easy to deal with. Phil Nunez was the sales representative who evaluated the job. He was very creative - providing several excellent ideas for the job. The idea that we settled on worked great. I recommend this company - and Phil in particular - especially if you have an unusual fencing problem and want someone who will make the extra effort to work with you to solve your problem.
We hired Valley Fence in 2012 to build a pressure treated 3-rail post and rail fence with equal height horse fencing for a 1 acre yard and paid $13,000. We were very satisfied at the time and the workers doing the job were very good and took pride in the job they did. My neighbors liked the look of the fence and on our recommendation hired Valley Fence to fence their yard with the same style fence. Now after only 6 years the fence is rotting at the base of the posts and in some cases even at the post tops. Since the posts were green in color I am assuming they were pressure treated as advertised, but I have other pressure treated posts that have been in the ground for 25 years that are still intact. My conclusion is poor quality materials.I called Vally Fence not really expecting any warranty work since is has been 6 years, but looking to them as to what they thought a reasonable life expectancy should be for pressure treated posts and the possibility that they might work with me on a repair. I was met with a fairly defensive response to my story and told that they wouldn’t even be able to look at the fence until others in my area asked for work and that if they did a repair the minimum cost would be $750.So, I guess I’m fixing the fence myself with “real” pressure treated posts this time and shame on me for trying to work with these guys. My only real regret is that I recommended Valley Fence to my friends and neighbors.
Got a great fence. The staff was friendly and did a great job. 100% would recommend to anybody looking for quality work. The price was not bad either. Look forward to doing more business in the future.
I still have the sign on my fence that they put up. During a recent storm it blew down when one of the metal gate posts broke at the base. When I called for a repair I was told they have a minimum amount of $750.00 to come and fix it. I feel like if it is one they put up they should honor a repair at any dollar amount...
If you want great customer service don’t call these guys.I spoke with the secretary At valley fence asking for someone to come out to my house to bid some block wall work I needed done. She asked some general questions about my project. She Took down my contact info. She said an estimator would call me to get info etc. Later that day a guy called from valley fence asking for the same info I had already given them and said and estimator would be calling. (seems a bit redundant valley fence)Guess what? 2 days later and I’ve yet to hear back from valley fence. I’ve since called Fred’s masonry and got a bid by the next day and booked them for the work. Fred’s was top notch in listening to my needs and follow up.
Asked for estimate on residential fence. Tony was two hours late I had already left the property. I called to reschedule for the following week again he did not show up. Valley Fence Company are not serious about their business.Bad customer service!!I dont see what all the hoopla is about. They suck.
Called 2 times for an estimate... it’s been over a month and I still have not got a call back. I’ll take my business where it’s wanted!
I bought a small chain link gate that was the same price as the big box diy but much higher quality. They were on time and easy to deal with. I’d go to them again.
Valley Fence company truck responsible for 7 car pile up in October 2020, still avoiding me,not supplying insurance information..Have not had a car Thanksgiving, Christmas now new year!Thank you Valley Fence company. EDWARD
I had a great experience there bery nice people
We had a large dog run installed. Jim Wilson came out to give us an estimate. He was very thorough in explaining what would be done and answered all of my questions. He was very clear and concise. A super nice guy!Jaime showed up for the installation; he took the time to review everything that was going to be done. He singlehandedly installed the dog run and did an excellent job with a high degree of craftsmanship. I am a super picky customer and he exceeded all of my expectations. Its good to know that people like Jim and Jaime still exist!
Asked for a quote for some fencing. They finally came out and measured my fencing requirements. And then I only got a partial quote from one part of the fence. I asked for the rest of the quote and never received it. After several weeks of no communication I gave up trying to contact them and went with a better more responsive Fence Company.
This company was referred to me. They have very poor customer service. Estimators are VERY slow in getting quotes back to you. YOU almost have to harass them. Work was done quickly. I am not worried about quality of the fencing after reading the other postings about poor quality.
I called this company for an estimate for a security gate with automatic openers, left a voicemail because they were closed for lunch. I never received a call back. I called back a couple of days later thinking I would give them another chance to bid on the job and got transferred to someone and he told me he would call me back, because he had to dispatch it to an estimator....well, ok then. I was able to finally talk to an estimator and he really didnt seem like he wanted to come out and give an estimate. He kept telling me to look on the website, etc. After I told him point blank he needed to come to the job site and take a look he was non-committal, but said he could do it Tuesday or Wednesday of last week and that he would call me, I have nothing better to do than just to sit around all day waiting for your call Phil. Well, he never showed up. Surprise, surprise. Valley Fence needs to get their act together. Its pretty simple to answer a phone (even during a lunch hour or stagger lunches) and get someone out to estimate jobs. If you guys miss on the small stuff like that I wouldnt want to hire you to do the big stuff. We will spend our $8,000-$10,000 that we have budgeted elsewhere.
Bad news... Valley fence was building a fence on the house that sold next to me and they started building and digging the post holes before they did a “ One Call!” Doesn’t the only know that you have to call 3 days before doing any work? It’s a Colorado State Law by the way! Now they want to connect to my fence that is 6” on my side of the boundary line, so that would mean part of his fence would be on my property line? Hum! Seems like they people don’t know what the Hell they are doing! They also build the fence with the springer heads behind the new fence, seems like they would have called the owners of the property! Not happy!! Would not recommend them!!
We had a great experience with Valley Fence Company. They came out to provide us with a free estimate, were very professional. Once we agreed on the project, they completed it on time without any issues. Our fence is looking awesome and many of our neighbors asked us who built it for us. We are happily recommending them to our friends and neighbors. :)
I called valley fence twice within the last few months. Left my name and number to set up an appointment for an estimate for a new fence for my front yard. No one ever bothered to call back. Gave them another chance a few months later. Was able to set up an appointment and the lady who did the estimate showed up as scheduled. Waited two weeks after that for the estimate only to have her come back with one on a fence that I didnt ask for. Explained again what I wanted and was told she would write up a new estimate based on what I had originally asked for. That was about 4 months ago. I never got my estimate. I will not give them a third chance nor will I ever recommend valley fence to anyone I know.
I called for an estimate on fixing my fence. The fence was measured incorrectly and even though my 50 dollar check was cashed I did not receive a written estimate. Horrible business to deal with. If I do not get a proper estimate from a qualified estimator by next week I better get my money back. You want treated well go elsewhere!!!
We took a home made church and the company did a beautiful job painting it. Thank yoi.
I live across the street it always says Im here at valley fence which is across the street
Worked out fine, will install next month. Jack Mortley.
During the last wind storm a portion of my fence fell down. I filed an insurance claim and was told I would need a written estimate. Your company has a word of mouth reputation as being one of the best in Albuquerque. JOHNNY ON THE SPOT and a representative was there in a few hours. Your representative looked things over and gave an about $3000.00 to get the repairs done. When I asked for a written estimate, your representative stated that there would be a $50.00 charge for the written estimate.A company of your size and stature showing that kind of petty greed?Im still trying to wrap my head around that kind of pettiness and greed. Not good Youll get no recommendation from me and I will be sure to let everyone know of your petty greed.PS: This will be posted to Facebook and any other media that takes reviews.
Valley sent out one guy to dig in basically all rock terrain. I had to help him drill ALL of my post holes and then hand dig out the back fill by hand with post hole diggers and steel digging bars. I asked him where his helper was, he said he quit. Same thing second day, no help again. I hired Valley to install my fence so I wouldnt have to. Im retired and did not want to be do this in rocky soil myself, ended up doing it anyway. Installer was here 3 days and I helped him all 3 days with aspects of the installation. Last day he couldnt get outa here fast enough after I helped him unload my 12 gates of course. I then had to go into town and get more Hog ring clips and fence clips to finish tying my fence to guide wire.Along with going around and tightening Every bolt that was on my fence. When I called and wanted to talk to a manager or owner, someone finally called back, after a couple weeks they finally decided that MY TIME was only worth $250.00.Took ALL of their signs off my fence and trashed them. The whole experience from getting them out here for a quote to the endwas Truly Unprofessional.NEVER AGAIN !
The design of the fence and gate where specific to the security of our business, and the estimator Yvonne Garcia was very professional and efficient. I would recommend Valley Fence to anyone. Great job Valley Fence.
I called Valley Fence for an estimate on a block wall on our new house. They called me back and said an estimator would call me back and schedule an appointment. 5 days later, nothing. So, I called them back. The lady who answered the phone seemed pretty upset that nobody had called me. She assured me someone who call me soon. 15 minute later a young woman called me and we set an appointment for Monday, the 8th of July at 10:00. She never showed up and never called. I called the main office and a man answered this time. He had no idea a female was even do estimates.....When he finally figured out what was going on, he said she would call me soon. She called in 3 minutes. She said she was in Las Cruces and had no cell service and had to “drive into town” to even be able to call me. You know, 3 minutes after the company called her. She was very unapologetic and simply asked if we could reschedule....ABSOLUTELY NOT WOMAN! What the hell Valley Fence?!?! I didn’t even get a chance to see if Valley did good work because the customer service was horrible!
I call them out to get an estimate on a ornamental roll gate. This was on March 19th. The estimator came to our house on March 22. Told me he would email me an estimate in a couple of days, never received an email. I played phone tag with TONY for a week and finally received an estimate via email on the 29. Again I tried to get in touch with the estimator. Long story short - this company does not return phone calls, and doesnt want your business. If they did, I wouldnt have had to call over and over to try and get a fence done. Poor customer service!!!
I hired Valley Fence last year for a large job. A real nice lady came out and handled everything in a timely and professional manner. Last month, I called Valley again to finish off the job. It would be a small job. A guy, Tony, Tom, came out, took measurements and never got back to me. I contacted Valley twice via their online message system. If the job isnt worth your time, let the customer know. I wanted to stay loyal and with the same company but lack of respect turns me OFF!!
They are closed during the noon hour for the convenience of the staff and lack of regard for the needs of the customers who also work. It is a poor policy that is bad for business
This place was very difficult to work with. It took almost a month after my quote for them to set up an appointment, and that only happened after we called them asking about it. They cashed iur deposit check before we made this appointment. The number we were told to call to schedule was just the installer and didnt do scheduling. The installer said half of the job wasnt even on their work order, which was something we confirmed multiple times with the sales rep. Everyone there just blames each other for not doing their job. The installer was also very rude and blamed his mistakes on us not being home during the installation. When they came back for fixes, he admitted to not doing his best work the first time around. They had forgotten a cap on one post and didnt even tie part of the fencing to another post. The guide rail isnt parallel with the fence, sending the gate a few inches away from the latch unless you push it back or pick it up and move it into place. On top of that, the latch they use for a rolling gate just sucks and doesnt really work well with any padlock that Ive found. Overall, save yourself the headache and pay up for a different company. These guys are cheap, and their work shows for it.
Called to ask for an estimate on a damaged fence in my yard. Sure, well fix your 3x3 fence for $750 minimum. Asked if he had a recommendation for a contractor who would take a smaller job...He suggests asking someone from my church. A simple no would have sufficed! Thanks jerk! I hope your wife hooks you up sometime soon.
I called to have an estimate for a fence for arround my property. Valley fence scheduled a time to come to my house and then never showed up. I tried calling the person who was to do the estimate with absolutely no response. Clearly this company does not need or want my business, Ill hire someone who cares about their customers.
Good company to work with, they can customize architectural renderings and target product designs. Would recommend
Called to schedule a consult for a small residential project and they no-call, no-showed. Called back and was told very curtly that they have a $750 minimum charge. So my assumption is that they got to my house, decided the job wasnt worth their time, and kept driving. This should give you an idea for how your experience will go if you dont have a large project. Really, even if you have a large project, I wouldnt expect great customer service.
The girls that they sub out and her sons did a very awesome job on my block fence as well as my gate... But the people in the office have really bad attitudes buyer bewar poor poor management...
Have always done good work at reasonable price.
I wish that I was posting a better review. Like another review I read, communication was slow. We wanted a gate that locked installed on our fence. I didnt mind the slow communication because im in the army and my schedule can be difficult. Eventually we got a contract signed and were ready to proceed. I was told they would contact me in a few weeks to set up installation. Weeks turned until a couple months and I called back. The gentlemen I always spoke with (very polite) couldnt believe they hadnt installed the gate yet and inquired on my behalf.About a week or so later, while im at work, I get a call from employees saying they are there to install the gate. I was stunned because no one called me to schedule the installation. I asked the employee if the gate had a decoration that was promised. The employee said no so I asked them to leave and not install the gate. I called the gentleman that I always speak with and he was, again, surprised that no one had contacted me and assured me they would reach out.I come home about a week later to find the gate installed. I was stunned and also noticed that the door knob with lock was not installed. I was clear I wanted a locking gate, now we have a gate that doesnt even shut because the is no latch installed. I called the same gentleman and he said they couldnt install a locking ķnob because of key security. I wish they would have told me that. My husband came home and was extremely unhappy with the quality of the work. He insisted that I write a review warning people of our experience. First, we both agree the quality of the gate itself is great. You will see in the picture the gate is not close to centered and the gate is a couple inches higher then the fence for some reason. I have a picture to show the work. Ill try and figure out how to attach it to this review. This was a disappointing experience. We have several gates to replace and my husband said we will find another company to work with 😔 Btw... my husband installed the doorknob but he was not happy that we paid 1200 for a gate and it didnt do the one thing we wanted it to.
My Experience with Vally Fence Co. was Fabulous. They showed up on time, did a great job for a fair price (I shopped around) and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend them!!!
Family owned and operated. 3 generations of the Mariano Chavez family stand behind their work. Quality products and superior service.
If you need your fence done in a timely manner this is not the company to go with. They said our fence would take 2 weeks and it took 4 1/2 weeks, very bad communication between staff too, they tried to get their second half of payment for the fence, before the fence had even started getting built.
They installed a wooden fence about 5 yrs ago. The posts werent set in concrete so the fence blew over. Aldo the supports werent placed properly. Extremely inferior work.
Could do with better communication, professional service.
The guy you went out with him as Charlie was a very nice man
James was horrible I will never do business with valley fence company in my opinion there driver and James are rude unprofessional ghetto and he thought it was funny when you try to rectify when you see the rock come off and bust your window and they laugh about it think its funny and say take to court thats how they do business.100% unprofessional.if they I had the option to add no stars I would.
These guys are very unprofessional ... was told that the job would be complete by Jan 12th ... here we are, the end of January, and the job is still not complete, and no communication from Valley Fence as to when the job will be completed! ... If you are looking for a good honest company, stay very clear from Valley Fence Company!
Contacted Valley today and left a message to get back and they never did get back. They are either too busy or understaffed or incompetent. Whatever the reason for not getting back we are looking elsewhere.
Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
2,000 less than the lowest expensive estimate! Cant wait to get my new fence
Poached another contractors job after that contractor had brought them business from three different companies. Shameful, no ethics!
Great people
Great place for fencing and great service
If you need clear boundaries call the expert..
Customer service is horrible the drivers were rude and the people in the office were even rudder i would not recommend them to anyone
Great service
I called them 2 weeks ago to fence a half acre the girl said Joe would call me back in fifteen to twenty minutes.it has been two weeks very unprofessional. This happened 2 years ago also same person.I will never recommend this company.
