Marlene and Chrissy are awesome women who will serve you well in the shop. The inventory is amazing. I personally love their layerable options: long skirts and pants. The dresses and stylish hats and scarves are very fashionable and fun to pair.

This place is amazing!! The hat selection is wonderful. There are casual and dress hats and accesories. Wallets, scarves, etc. The two women in there were very helpful and knowledgeable about there products. Its best to go in a store to buy a hat because of head size and how it fits and looks. And I highly recommend this store!!

Very friendly staff. My husband even got a good tip for preserving his Panama hat bought elsewhere. They saved a hat for me that is no longer being made.Clothing looks high quality.

I love this store, and have for years. When I needed an author photo for publicity purposes, I realized I needed a garden party-type hat (okay, my books a romance novel, I admit it). This was the first place I thought of looking. Looked at two--the second one the owner took down off a high shelf and it was love at first sight. White. Big brim. Perfect!

This is not your baseball hat kind of shop.If the hot New Mexican sun has you burning up youve got to pop in to this store. All kinds of hats even some with SPF ratings. The owner is extremely helpful and she has various sizes for you to try. Hats for everyone, men, women, and children in so many different styles. If they dont have something in your size they can order and ship it to you.

I definitely rate this store 5 stars!!! Today was my first time in Old Town hat shop and they have a phenomenal selection, the ladies that work there were very nice and knowledgeable. Pretty store with nice hats, sadly disdainful and condescending treatment of customers (and has been for the past 10 or more years). In an attempt to find hats for a special occasion all preferences and requirements were either disregarded or we were blatantly told we were wrong. Most prices were fair enough all things considered however we will find hats elsewhere. If you enjoy being treated like an annoyance or an idiot then 5/5 I would recommend, otherwise I would seek other options.

The woman who helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy and I really felt that she wanted me to find the right hat, not just any hat.They had a wide selection at a wide variety of price points but everything I picked up seemed high quality.

This place was horrible.I drove over a hundred miles to go there, and the owner talked down toe like a kid & didnt want me touching any of the hats. saying she had to school me on how to pick up a hat. she was very rude. And the prices were outrageous. But I still was going to spend over $100 for a hat but after the way she treated me I walked out.

This review should have been written about a year and a half ago, but I reckon better late than never, as the adage goes.I have not been to Albuquerque, New Mexico, but I have been to Arizona ;)I was googling, looking for reputable hat shops so that I could purchase a couple of quality hats (they tend to last longer - smiles). I stumbled upon the Old Town Hat Shop. Now since it was awhile back (see opening statement), I cannot remember if I emailed or called, perhaps both.At any rate, at two separate times, I made two purchases - The Parati Red Gambler and the Bolero. I am in BC Canada, and I can promise you that every single time I wear the hats, people make positive comments - from cashiers to cyclists, from young to old. Its amazing.So, if I ever have a day where my confidence is enveloped in a dark cloud, I wear one of the two hats. Its guaranteed to bring me sunny smiles and warm remarks.This is no word of exaggeration. It is sad that two people stated they encountered rudeness or whatever. (I secretly wonder if they themselves ever had a bad off day...I know I sure have, but shhhh dont tell ;) )In all seriousness though, I met with patience and good attitudes. I was helped as to how to pay from another country, and talk about delivery! It came in a very timely window frame. Truly, I have no complaints.The hats have held their shape (and yes, the Red Gambler really IS able to handle the rain) and they both still look as new. Easy to clean and a delight to wear. I hate to tell folks where I got the hats...you know, it means I have to share the smiles. LOL (of course, Im playing...)Anyway, thank you dear owners at The Old Town Hat Shop in New Mexico! Asked for assistance (like the signs say to) several times, and we were met with rude dismissive attitude every time. Id rather spend my money with someone who acknowledges the customers.
