Market itself is okay, has the basic Korean goods. But the restaurant needs to do better. I got yukgaejang which is supposed to be mainly beef soup but I had 5 pieces of meat. My aunt got the rice cake dumpling soup, huge bowl with 3 dumplings, 4 meat pieces and tons of rice cake. Yukgaejang was pretty flavorless, I could probably whip up much better one at home. Considering the price, definitely not worth it.
This is so much more than a Korean grocery store. There is a small restaurant in the back serving up authentic Korean food that is both affordable and delicious. One of my absolute favorite food spots in Albuquerque. Highly recommend.
Nice little Korean store with a delicious restaurant in the back. They usually have anything you need for Korean cooking, plus some other staples for Japanese cooking. The people who work there are really nice and wont make you feel judged if you come in and youre not Korean or you dont know what you need.
Korean restaurant and grocery store in the same place. This is probably the most authentic Korean food I have had outside of South Korea. Food was wonderful and prices are fair. If you are looking for that hole in the wall Korean restaurant to get a good meal, go to A-Ri-Rang. You will not be disappointed. After you eat, you can peruse the aisle of the marketplace and get kimchi or other Korean foods.
Good authentic Korean food!!! Our go to when traveling through Albuquerque. They also have a market and frozen food area. I recently for the first time ordered japchae to go and was disappointed there was hardly any meat. When I ordered it eating there the meat was plentiful. The young man who took our order was rude and abrupt also. I dont know why. We were very kind to him. Still, I recommend eating here.
The food was delicious and brought back great memories of Korea. The store was well stocked with fresh kimchi and many other things you would find in a typical neighborhood market in Korea.
Awesome food, awesome shop. One of my local favorites.
If you love korean food then your choices of places to go are a bit limited here in Albuquerque but we have a couple gems that will satisfy your cravings! This place is on the top of that list, the staff is so nice and everything on their menu is perfect. Authentic korean from the smells, taste and atmosphere. So if youre wanting some korean or interested in trying it for the first time this is the place to go and when youre done eating feel free to pick up some korean snacks, drinks or grocery since in fact they were at first a grocery store. YOU MUST TRY THE SEAFOOD PANCAKE! BEST IVE HAD!
This is both a Korean Restaurant and Korean Grocery Store (Market). They have more variety on Korean Grocery products. Not really an ASIAN SuperMarket. if you love Korean Food, this is the place.
So cool! I love this place and they were so helpful and nice! κ°μ°μ΄λ€
I didnt go to the store. I just helped a lady and her young son change their flat tire.
The market portion had items that I need for home cooking as well as frozen/prepared food items I cant find elsewhere (like Korean cheese corn dogs, korean scallion pancakes, kimchi, and a variety of frozen dumplings) or are a different type/variety than what you find at Talin or Market 999. The attached restaurant has phenomenal Korean food and has tempted me to not make it at home anymore.
Been coming for years. The best Korean food in Albuquerque, hands down. Dont even ask more questions - eat here now.
Awesome place great service will be back
I went to buy kim chee. Prices are reasonable. Fast and friendly service.
I lived in korea for a couple years and this place has the best korean food in Albuquerque! It tastes just like it would in Korea. Their market also offers the best kimchi Ive ever had - better than the ones Ive had at various restaurants in korea. Everyone there is super nice and you can find a lot of fun snacks and grocery items. I live 30 mins away but its worth the drive over there. Also I really like the amount of food you get there. I usually order κΉμΉμ°κ° (kimchi jjigae) and its enough for two very large servings. Its the best! It also appears they have opened for indoor dining! 15/10, I recommend this place to literally everyone and I really cant wait to take my boyfriend here when he visits from korea.
The store is a neighborhood type yet with a flavor of the Far East goods. Their side restaurant is exactly that. Its off to the side. The food however is much to enjoy. If youve tried Korean dishes - you jnow the deal! If on the other hand you have not tried it...try their main popular dish called Bul-go-gi pronounced Bull Go Ge (as in BE) the g is pronounced from the back part of the tongue touching the roof of your mouth.5 Star Rating I give! This is the way!
Awesome little hole in the wall! Unique findings and absolutely authentic foods. Will be shopping here more!
I went shopping here the other day, the people are so nice! Also order from the restaurant in the back of the store. I love Korean food so much, so I say the food was really tasty! Itβs did not disappoint me. I hope you have an amazing experience as I have.
Customer service is great here, food is delicious.
Im looking forward to trying their homemade kimchi
Not what it was pre covid. The to go meals are only 50% or less of what theyd beenDont recommend
Lots of items you wont find elsewhere . A bit disorganized and some things arent priced. An interesting little spot for Korean goods, especially noodles.
More like 3+ but not quite 4 but may be on a good day. Very relaxed atmosphere at the back of a Korean store. Good service, very pleasant women working with tasteful. Recommended and we keep going back.
Easily the best Korean food in all of Albuquerque. Unassuming casual atmosphere behind grocery aisles in the back of the market. Full of flavor, perfectly prepared, quickly served, amazing food. Well definitely be back with more friends in tow next time.
Friendly staff, great little restaurant in the back.
Best in house made kimchi and great import foods. The staff are always nice.
Love this place. They have everything Im looking for and new stuff to try. It has a little restaurant in store as well that serves good food. Go check it out and try something new!
Love their inhouse cooked menu! I always shop here when I visit Albuquerque.
Legit Korean food. There are two other places I can think of that serve some hybrid of Korean food, and theyre also very good, but this is actual Korean food. As a Korean person who grew up in Chicago eating Korean food in a Korean household, I highly recommend this place if youre looking for actual Korean food. I try to go here at least once a week because I miss my moms food. Of course what I get is what you usually only get in restaurants, but you get the point.
Decent selection and staff is friendly.
If you ever lived in South Korea then this will feel like a home market. Very good traditional Korean restaurant.
This place is a true gem! The environment is a very casual cafe, but dont be fooled by the low-key nature of it the place, the food is top-notch! If you have to have fountain drinks and a full appetizer and dessert selection to be happy this place will not be to your liking, but if you have an open mind you will be happy. The shopping selection is also very worthwhile for a variety of Korean (and Asian in general to some extent) goods at reasonable prices.
The workers at this restaurant were very hospitable. Cold or hot tea was served complimentary, along with Kim Chi and another pickled dish. I did request more Kim Chi because it would so delicious. My main dish was a very generous portion, but it was so delicious, I ate it all. They even left a tasty little ginger chew with my receipt. They are going to get my business again!
Love this Korean grocery for its authenticity. Prices are a little higher than at the bigger Asian grocery, but thats to be expected for a small neighborhood family-run business. The homemade kim chi is very good. There is a small restaurant counter with a few small tables at the back of the store for those who want real Korean food, cooked by Koreans.
I love this little shop. Its my go to place to find products I cant find any where else. Specially candies. Im addicted to some of the candies they have. Everyone is very friendly and always happy to share their culture and product history. Recommend going for fun or recipe shopping.
This place is the best Korean store/cafe there is in Albuquerque! The staff is super friendly and helpful and the food is incredibly delicious! I come for the food and also to buy certain ingredients that cant be found elsewhere. They also sell lots of Korean cookware and the clay pots to ferment kimchi! Im in love with this place!!!
Love Korean food, Im vegan but they are flexible. Love the cute Cucumber salad that you buy in the store prepared, that one has no fish sauce etc.perfect for me.
Great people with great food
I absolutely love this place and its probably my favorite Korean restaurant in town. The food is good and definitely loaded with veggies and they give you tea and some side dishes like kimchi and bean sprouts free, the staff is so nice, and they sell a wide variety of foods and items. The big thing I like about this place is the staff. I started learning Korean a while back and so Ive been going to different places to get some practice and just meet other people and the people that work here are so nice and welcoming and open. Ive been to other places where the staff wasnt as nice. I am definitely going to come back here again and again and I highly recommend it.
The staff are always incredibly friendly, theres a great variety of Korean products available in the market, and every dish from the restaurant is wonderful!
I love this place. I had Jjajang noodles here it was authentic.I always pick up groceries here the ladies are so nice...! Groceries and the restaurant together.I like their Kimchi.
The restaurant here is a Hidden Gem! The food is authentic and wonderful!
This is a Korean market. If you are giving it bad reviews because you cant find your Chinese stuff here you need help. As a white person there where many give aways to me that this place was Korean. For instance the Korean name and the Korean writing on the building. SMH. Best place in New Mexico for meet your Korean needs. If its not good enough you can take the Amtrak to L.A. Its only 16 hours.
Friendly, clean, very good selection of Korean foods. Helpful staff when you canβt read labels, lol! Great place to shop for Korean ingredients and Asian foods in general, good housewares selection and korean veggie seeds too. I do wish they stocked traditional onggi. But they have most everything for a reasonable price too.
Authentic Korean food. I really enjoyed. Nice quality and fresh recipes.
Best authentic korean food in abq. Just wished they took food stamps at their store section.
The food and service are absolutely wonderful. If you love Korean or traditional Asian food you should definitely check this place out. me and my friends go here all the time.
The best food Ive had in years! This place is a hidden gem! Ill be going to eat here every chance I get! π
I love this store. Been going there for almost 30 years. For Korean food, unsurpassed in ABQ.
Fantastic! Fantastic food, bi bimbap is outstanding as well as the spicy por . Excellent kimchee and veggies as well. Nice folks too!
A homey authentic market/restaurant with friendly staff. The restaurant serves flavorful, healthy Korean food
Delicious food all the time. Never disappointed. Friendly staff.
Great Oriental grocery store, all of the essentials. We love their Kimchi. There is also a small restaurant in the back with absolutely fantastic Korean food
JesseG Approved !!! My favorite Local place to get Kimbaap ππππππ£
I love this sweet cute little Korean market. Very authentic food items. I always get my Kimchi here. I love the different Kimchies they offer: radish, cabbage, octopus, zucchini, and baby radishes. They also have a little cafe in the store. I love the stone hot pot meals. The best! Also always take sushi rolls to go a wonderful yummy snack. I live about three hours away, but I make sure to make 3 trips throughout the year. Especially for the wonderful KoreanMarket. The ladies that work the store give wonderful customer service. Love this place.
Full of excellent and authentic Korean and Asian products and ingredients. The little restaurant in the back is fantastic as well.
Really i love going here. I travel two hours to get her for the food. Its that good. β₯
This place is absolutely great. Authentic stuff, great ingredients to cook with, and a great staff. They even give me a little korean lesson every time I go! Restaurant is amazing too. Decently priced. κ³ λ§μ΅λλ€!
Cant find a much more personal eating experience around. There are just a few folding tables and chairs that always seem to be filled at lunch. The food is excellent, but be prepared to only have the option of hot corn tea to go with it.
I love the staff here and the customer base as well! They are so friendly and it breeds more friendliness. One of my favorite places to go visit. The food is great and the kimchi is on point!
The food is very good . I still remember the taste of it after a week i had it ! Also got a cup of green tea as we looking around the menu . The girl who took our order gave very nice detail on the food and excellent recommendation . The service kinda slow despite not having alot of customer around . They probably have 3 worker at the time . I was there with a friend around 2 pm ish on saturday .
Genuine, excellent, Korean food. Food made from 100% Koreans. If youre looking for authentic Korean food, this the place. Ive ordered 75% of the menu and Ive always loved it.
They has good Korean food, good restaurants and good customer service.
One of my favorite restaurants in Albuquerque. The food here is excellent. I recommend the spicy pork bulgogi and the japchae. The dining area is small but the ladies running the restaurant are extremely nice.
Great Korean grocer for all my needs! The little restaurant is amazing too and I love coming here!
First time here was nice. The family here is really nice.
Perfect place to get all your Korean needs. It may be a bit of a drive but I think this plave is better than the Talin market when it comes to Korean needs. Need sesame oil? Buy iit here. Need soy sauce? Buy it here. Need seaweed snacks? Buy it here. Buy unpeeled garlic? Buy it here. Worth the drive.
Loved finding a place with authentic Korean food and bottomless toasted barley tea. The place is definitely no frills, but the food uys good and the staff is friendly.
Nice little hide out. The food and people were wonderful. Im definitely going back.
Great menu options. The bibimbap and kalguksu were good.
The food is authentic and made with love! There is also the added bonus of it being amazing!
The staff was very helpful with a lot of suggestions for preparing different dishes. I went away excited to try my new ingredients.
Kimchi, pickled radishes, houseware, coffee, ramen noodles, bulgogi sauce, korean cd albums. Hygienic needs. Mostly korean productz. Nice. ππ€
Very authentic korean food. Perhaps the best in the area. Also a great Korean market.
Good Korran spicy pork bibimap!
GREAT korean food. Its such an authentic dining experience. Korean meats can be very strongly flavored due to the intense marinade. But the chefs at ARiRang are great at balancing out the flavors with the rest of the dishes. Love the Bi-Bim-Bap. The Korean ladies than run this place are so cute and so nice. I almost wish theyd adopt me and I could eat yummy korean food all day, every day! =) Well, I guess that would be awkward since Im a full blown adult. It definitely has a hole in the wall vibe and its in the middle of strip mall city, but its worth drive to seek it out. Its not like ABQ has a huge community of Koreans, so were lucky to have decent korean food!
A cute little Korean grocery store. Their homemade kimchi is quite delicious.
Excellent Korean food, served promptly and politely given extra kimchi when we ran out and even made a kimchi pancake special for us.
Has so many interesting Korean stuff.
Food is great. So glad to have been able to find authentic Korean food in ABQ. The grocery store is ok. I will deff go again.
The bulgogi is the best! Worth driving across town.
Good people & best food ever. admit we will go back one of other week
Unique place with authentic food and groceries. The food is very good and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
If you dont know what good Korean food tastes like, this is the place to find out.
Place is great to get asain Cuisine and oriental food products
Great selection of grocery items, friendly service, and homemade lunch I. Restaurant attached as well.
Wife brought takeout from here and it was amazing!
Great selection of Korean goods. And they have home made kimchi.
I move here from las Vegas nv, Im just use too a bigger market. in vagas nv they have one there called Greenland. I did see items here where i will be back to buy.
AS AUTHENTIC AND FRIENDLY AS IT GETSHaving lived in (South) Korea, we know a thing or two about authentic Korean cuisine. Were also very fond of some of the countrys staples, and so we were very excited to try this place out.The restaurant shares a building with the same companys modest supermarket, and so from the street an uninitiated passerby might not realize theres more than a Korean food market inside. Once inside youll be greeted by a friendly staff, and are free to choose your own table.Weve enjoyed the Dolsot BiBimBap, the Bulgogi, and various side dishes customary for Korean cuisine. It is all delicious and authentic. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive; they will ensure your banchan (side dishes) are kept replenished as well. Prices are extremely reasonable.λ§€μ° λ§μμ΅λλ€HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
