This wonderful little shop at is an underrated treasure. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and they always have what I need. They are also very willing to special order any unusual supplies. The art project is slowing down their business, but dont hesitate to go there, its pretty easy to get to anyway.

Small and cozy. Great little magic show! Definitely not a Vegas act. But, whens the last time you seen a magic show on Historic RT 66 in New Mexico? The magic shop has magic tricks and gag gifts. Stock up fart powder! I enjoyed this place. Will go again.

We saw the show this evening and had such a fun time! We laughed and were amazed. Of course we tried to see how Max did his tricks but turns out he really is magic! It really was family friendly (took my kids ages 17-11) and everyone enjoyed it!

I would definitely catch another show. We went on a weekday, so it was pretty slow, but the act was very well executed. It was a little schtick-y but that’s part of the charm. I’d recommend it for any day of the week!

It was a very, very good experience. It was very easy to find, had great tricks and cards. When I bought a trick they spent almost an hour explaining how to use it. Very good customer service. I highly recommend going there!

Max and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to be around. I have purchased many effects from here over the years, and Max even gave me the opportunity to perform in his shop for his one year anniversary. I have spent many Saturdays here learning and sharing effects.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Well stocked with tricks, props, gags and all kinds of magic paraphernalia. Clown and balloon animal stuff too.

Max was very entertaining, especially his interaction with children. He was exceptional in that regard, and funny. Great magician. The only negative was the inadequate air-conditioning, which was due in part to the overcrowded room. Beyond capacity, and it was 100 degrees outside. An hour is too long to be that uncomfortable, but the show was great, and thats why I rate the show five stars.

Love this shop! Fun and experienced staff and they can get you the effect you want, sometimes in more than one way! Great place for anyone that has a love of magic!

I really try to stay away from posting negative reviews online, but after calling in to place my comment and receiving a dismissive response, I have decided to post about my experience here. I attended the magic show this evening with my husband and two other friend couples. My husband and I are moving and we arranged this evening as one of our last get togethers with our closest friends. We arrived to the theater early with the hope of sitting in the front row since I had forgotten my glasses at home, but the most important thing was being there with our friends. The seating hostess took people back in groups based on who purchased tickets, and our two couple friends were placed in the front row while my husband and I were placed in the far back corner. I watched our friends get called up multiple times to help with tricks throughout the show while my husband and I sat in the back and squinted to read the cards. I paid just as much for my ticket as the front rows, though Max frequently referred to us back row inhabitants as the cheap seats as though we had chosen to sit there. We found out after the show that the hostess was asked by both sets of couples to change seats so we could all sit together, but she denied the request for reasons we do not know or understand. Worst of all was the receptionists icy demeanor when I called after the performance to share my thoughts about the seating process. I doubt anything will change, so if in the future you attend the show with friends who paid for their tickets separately, call in as a group beforehand and fight to sit together and actually enjoy the show in each others company. I feel like this experience has made me lose my excitement for magic.

Even though hes closing shop soon, he was nice and went out of his way to find what we were looking for.

OMG the magic show was Great. I had never been to one and we were 10 feet from the magic man. I would take friends to see it.

They have been closed the past few days, only time i will ever be in Albequerque and didnt even get to go to the shop. Many people were waiting outside the door and the shop never opened

I was so skeptical about attending this attraction but my son insisted that we do. I must say that i am extremely impressed with what i saw - the show is about an hour long and worth every penny. Stay after and Max dis some serious one on kne with us after the show and I was blown away that he got into my sons iphone 6 digit passcode with mentalism. I cant say enough good things about this guy - he is the real deal !!

Amazing place, Max and his crew are fantastic, welcoming, and seem to really enjoy their craft. Dont miss the magic shows, theyre the best!

Always welcoming, and ready to show me and my sons a new trick (or two, or three). This is the reason to shop locally, you wont find a chain store like this one.

We just spent an hour-and-a-half with Max being amazed and confounded. I recommend the experience to everyone.
