We received excellent service at Sole Comfort Shows. The gentleman who waited on my 100 year old, deaf mother was so patient and held her arm as she walked to try on shoes. She loves the two pair that she found there. We will definitely return to Sole Comfort Shoes.

I have been coming to Sole Comfort Shoes for almost 18 years. The staff is remarkable and their attention and care of you. They become like personal friends and family. Peg and Jim have always served me so well over these many years and I provided me with the best comfort and shoes anyone could ask for. They will not sell you something that you do not need and will provide you with great feedback that will help your walk, and your life feels so much more comfortable! I came all the way from Ohio to get two more pairs of shoes from them and do so every time I’m in town

The service at Sole Comfort Shoes was excellent from the moment I walked in. I was fitted with several great choices of shoes that each suited to my specific needs. I walked out with a pair within minutes that I am thrilled about them. Highly recommend! Great service & great quality.

I told Jim what my foot issue was and he listened, measured my foot, explained things to me, like most people dont wear the proper size shoes because feet need to be able to elongate and splay out. He took a video of me walking so he could better help me too. I was surprised when he brought out a few shoe brands, and styles in a size to 2 sizes larger than my foot measured. But you know what? They fit and felt so comfortable! The bottom line is Jim knows feet and what you need for your particular foot issue. I bought 2 pairs of shoes (a sandal and an athletic style). My feet are happy, I am happy. I went home and donated 14 pairs of shoes that dont fit right and had been hurting my feet for years. Life is too short to wear shoes that hurt your feet. I highly recommend Sole Comfort shoes!

I knew no one at Sole Comfort Shoes but once inside, everything about them told me I had come to the right place. Professional AND personal care, comfort, knowledge, simplicity and time all went into attacking my issues and explaining the reasons for my pain. It wasn’t an easy fix. Peggy and David were absolutely WONDERFUL! Today, I not only discovered that I was wearing the wrong brand of shoes but also the wrong sizes for YEARS! I developed knee and balance problems partly because of this. After a consultation with Peggy, I left with the perfect shoes and I can now walk so much better. I was impressed with the education I received about genetics on my type of feet and how they function . Peggy takes her time to teach you a history lesson. It was fascinating. GREAT place to shop if youre looking for something customized and specifically tailored to fit your needs. Wearing the proper footwear can make a world of difference!

Very prompt and helpful assistance. They didnt have the style Birkenstock I was looking for (no fault of their own, blame it on the Covid backlash of 2021). They did have another style I liked and I purchased that one. Shop local, shop small business!

Sole Comfort is the best shoe store in town! Jim measured both my feet and found the most comfortable sandals that I have worn in years. I got them Friday and only take them off to go to sleep!! Two of my coworkers are also impressed and will visit Sole Comfort later this month. This is the only place I will buy shoes from now on! Highly recommend you see for yourself.

Love this local shoe shop! They carry Birkenstocks, Wolky and other shoes. The staff is attentive, and very helpful. They want you to love the shoes and want them to fit properly! They are awesome about working with my arch supports and recommended shoes that would work with them, and support my feet while I work!

Do NOT, I repeat do NOT, go to this business. They stole money from my grandmother. I took her in to get 3 different pairs of shoes lifted. The first ones were in store so we bought them, paid for the shoes themselves, the consultation fee, and the lift on them. We got those ones just fine. However, we ordered another pair of sandals that they didn’t have in stock in her size, and they told us they would be getting them in a few weeks. So we paid for those sandals, the lift, another consultation fee and an attachment to go on top. When we saw the finished product, we didn’t like the color of the top piece Jim added, so he agreed to patch that up. We then ordered a third pair of shoes and paid for them, that they also didn’t have in stock. When we went to go pick up the sandals, they told us that they didn’t have them and that we had already picked them up. They then said they would search the store. When we called the next day to try and figure out what had happened, Jim refused to talk to us directly and had us talk to someone else instead. When we tried to explain that we didn’t pick up the shoes, they accused us of lying and said we took them. We obviously had not gotten the shoes. When we asked for a refund on the shoes in question and the third pair of shoes we had pre-paid for that had not yet arrived in the store, they laughed in our faces and only offered a refund for the third pair. When asked who the owner was, the worker said that that wasn’t relevant. My grandmother is now $250 short (after getting some of the money back by charging back her credit card), and doesn’t have shoes she needs to fix her balance. We have to start the process over again with another store.

I am so happy that I went to Sole Comfort!!! I have a hammer toe that was causing me pain, particularly when I walked distances. Jim took a lot of time with me to measure and select the proper shoe for my condition. Now I am able to resume something I very much enjoy, walking long distances, and get the exercise I need. I was very impressed with the fact that they did not try to sell me a shoe that was not for me. After evaluation, I needed a shoe that was wider in the toe area than the shoes they had in stock. While they were willing to order such a shoe Tim knew I wanted my issues resolved that day. He suggested I buy the shoe ( from a different store) that I knew worked for me and then comeback for inserts, which I did. The staff was not only professional but genuinely cared about their clients.

What a relief to be properly fitted for a comfortable shoe that will help ease any pain I have experienced for so long now from being on my feet. I wished I had only done it a long time ago. Jim Matteucci knows his profession and really educated me on what a proper fitting shoe is.

I definitely recommend Sole Comfort for anyone who has problems with their feet. My husband has had pain in his ankle for years. We made an appointment with Peggy and she spent a lot of time with him evaluating his walk and his feet. He now has no pain in his ankle. Peggy is licensed and does charge for her time but it is worth it. For me, she now have shoes that actually fit. It was worth the time and expense.

Jim helped me and my mom get new shoes.My mom is older and has some stability issues, so finding shoes that fit well and that are comfortable and have support is very important. Jim spent lots of time with us, never rushing us or trying to push a sale. He is very knowledgeable and spends time explaining why he recommends a particular shoe making sure it is the best fit for you and ensuring your feet aren’t rolling to the inside or outside throwing the alignment of your knees off kilter. The shoes are high quality and worth every penny. I highly recommend coming here they are amazing and truly care.

Currently, I set an appointment and was advised I would have a consultation fee to achieve a proper fit. I agreed too the professional service fee as I had been purchasing inserts to correctly support the right foot due to the pain when walking. Those worked for a short time and pain returned. I purchased inserts 3 times then the shoe supporting structure broke down. I spent more dollars for inserts than cost of professional service’s mentioned above. The time spent with Jim M. is informative and educational (I/e) as we built the insert to correct the experiencing pain problem that should be resolved with proper (by this time) fitting inserts. Other than a doctors office visit to do the same thing makes this store the alternate go too place for correct fitting inserts. I have been a long time customer and have multiple issues with my feet. They always ensure comfort and proper fit. They have made several pairs of orthotics for me and they always take pride in their work. The selection is a little limited but I have always been able to find shoes suitable for work and workouts. A bit pricey but worth it to be able to be pain free and mobile!

David was kind and friendly. He knew what he was talking about. He went the extra mile and was patient with me.

So to start off they are amazing, Ive always had issues with my feet but they had gotten worse. As soon as they started the evaluation on the way I walk they noticed what was happening. I even found out my right leg is shorter than my left so they put a lift in my shoe. I saw immediate results as I could finally walk straight and my legs were even. I got the right help for sure but I cant wait until they have better looking shoes for younger people.

This was the first time any provider took the time to really look at how I walked and the right kind of shoes needed to walk well. It was amazing the difference the right type of shoe makes. I enjoyed the evaluation that Peg did to find the right kind of shoe.

I had been having sciata and lower back problems and decided to stop in this store last week to ask about their shoes. I ultimately purchased a pair ( extremely expensive) but also had purchased another pair online that came the next day. The Clark shoes are wonderful so I decided to take back the expensive shoes today. Very rude male manager who wouldnt take them back or give me a refund . He insisted I dont know where theyve been. I never took them out of the box! So, Im going to pose a question- what do they do with the shoes that are tried on? Do they throw them away..im sure they spray them with a sanitizer and offer to the next customer. Same could have been done with these shoes.Do not waste your time with their high pressure sales tactics and unethical customer focused business practice.

Due to prior injuries and physical changes in my feet, I was shopping for attractive but more comfortable shoes. The young woman helping me was obviously knowledgeable about their product lines but also gave me the space to make my own selections. I will definitively be returning soon

Sole Comfort is the only store in Albuquerque that you should be purchasing your Birkenstocks from. I was taken care of by Mariah. I have a left foot that is wider than my right foot and Mariah took the time to let me try on various sizes of Birkenstock Boston sandals until we settled on a pair that was in stock and two additional pair that Mariah special ordered for me. The purchase of Birkenstocks are an investment and the attention that Mariah gave me was nothing short of AMAZING! I thank her again for a very pleasant shopping experience

If I could give less than the one star I would. They are very dishonest with their so called return policy. Plus the man that runs the place is so full of himself its annoying. They grossly overprice the shoes. When I purchased mine I paid $145 for them when at the same time the manufacturer and Dillards both sold them for $69. They refused to take the shoes back because there was an impression of my foot inside the shoe like they had been worn. Never mind the bottom of the shoe was totally clean and wear free and never mind that it was within the 10 day time period. How they are still in business is beyond me. The store and staff are not worth their prices. The shoes are absolutely. But check other places like REI, or Dillards or the manufacturer website

I looked all over Albuquerque before discovering Sole Comfort. They have a great variety of shoes I can wear with my ExoSym brace. I got some cute sandals to wear for Easter. GREAT QUALITY and best prices I found. Amazing staff!! They were very patient while I tried almost every style that would work with my device. THANK YOU!!

My husband is on his feet 8-10 hours a day doing heavy labor. In the last several months he has begun to experience extreme pain in his feet almost all the time. We went in to Sole Comfort and he walked out without pain for the first time in months. Not only did they address the pain in his feet but they also addressed problems like his gait which will help with the low back pain he experiences as well. The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and willing to help.I cant put a price tag on seeing my husband up and walking without pain.

My husband heard of Sole Comfort, and since I’ve had lots of foot problems, he encouraged me to go look for shoes there. I have always bought shoes in a size 7 or 7.5. These people decided my foot needed more room. They put me in a 9.5. I told them my heel was slipping. They said the shoe would get worn and mold to my foot and not slip. I just needed to wear them a few days. They told me, I could buy the shoes and if I didn’t like them, I could return them within 10 days. So my feet really hurt after a few days, still slipping, I tried to take them back after 8 days. There was barely any wear on them. The clerk, Patty told me, because they look like I’ve worn them outside (they did not tell me only inside my house), they wouldn’t take them back. I also found that the same shoe is cheaper elsewhere... including an expensive sports store here in Albuquerque - by $15. I do not recommend this place. I don’t know what game they are playing, but they were not honest with me.
