I just took 2 loads of leftovers from my garage sale and Jacob was so very nice and helpful unloading it all and thanked me for having it all in boxes. Such a great charity, I appreciate what Amvets does for our Veterans and our community!

Worth a monthly stop by, pricing is inflated for items, hit or miss shopping. Could use more organization

Since opening its doors in a former Staples location this AMVETS store has continued to grow and provide better products. Friendly Staff and flexible hours. Veterans with proper ID are given a 25% Discount on every purchase. Discounts are available on certain days for students and the elderly too! They have a Savings Card that builds in-store credit. I love this Amvets. They are always clean, organized & staff is friendly & helpful. Of course still run 50 n 25 percent off tags but cant usually find those colors as easy. As always you decide what youre willing to pay because I believe some thrift stores have raised their prices

Found a great AMVETS Thrift Store. I have been in a few thrift stores, none of them as good as AMVETS, especially this one. Very clean, very organized, very big. I couldn’t believe the great prices, and the discount tag system. This Saturday Orange tags were 25% off and Blue tags were 50% off. So we were definitely looking for the Blue tags. This store has tons of stuff, plus furniture, shoes, small appliances, record albums, books, cd’s, hundreds of DVD’s, and lots, and lots of clothes. We left with 3 bags full of stuff for under $30.00. We will be going back.

You can always find treasures here! Each aisle is organized and so very neat! The prices are reasonable and 85% of proceeds goes to Veterans

This is the best thrift store in Maryville. I love the selection of trendy clothes and theres always a cheap thrift cop. I rarely see Depop resellers here, so you know theres plenty of nice trends.

I think its funny, I saw a frying pan mind you it was only $1.48 for the pan it was in decent condition but it literally had dried egg on it . SMH 🤣

My favorite thrift store in town. I love that things are priced individually according to the condition/quality rather than just saying T-shirts are 5.99 like Goodwill does. Prices here are always very reasonable! They also have a fantastic rewards program through their app.

Its clean and extremely organized. All of the staff were helpful and they had a variety of options. The furniture was a little old and worn and not sure if I would have even put out.

In just one month this store has bottomed out. It is messy, blocked isles, food and drink containers left on shelves for literally days. Needs urgent visitation by the management.

Since when does Amvets in Maryville/Alcoa Tennessee charge $12.98 for a mens shirt? Just a year ago, all shirts were $4.98, no matter what. $35.00 mens boots. I didnt even look at womens stuff. I doubt Ill go back.

When you arrive, someone will greet you to assure you have a mask on. The staff were all wearing masks. The store was neat and organized as usual. Found a super cute jacket.

I had a great experience. I went in looking for some small glass containers to make candles in. The location was clean with someone posted at door offering facemasks. A lot going on inside like always and great customer service. All items were marked with prices and I was in and out in a heart beat.

Wonderful place to hunt for bargains and treasures (and help support our Veterans!). The store is always clean, the staff is nice, and the quality of the merchandise is quite nice for a donation resale shop.

Went to store with grandson. Lives in Alcoa Tenn. Thirft store. Revenue from sales (%),or donation goes to Veterans. Clean, social distance floor tapped thru out store & @ register line. Neat, clean, people courteous, & again sales support Vets!!

AmVet is always nice... the people that work there, and the variety of good used items for reasonable prices is worthy of looking. Personally, I like them better that Goodwiil or even Karms. The quilt of merchandise is also usually better at AmVet.

This is one of my favorite thrift stores in the area. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful, they get in new items all the time, and have great prices!!! (Way better than other thrifts in the area) I definitely recommend checking it out!

I am writing this to show my appreciation for the staff at Amvets. I had an amazing experience with Rosie and Hunter (two of the most helpful and Caring people I have ever met) when I was searching for clothes for a family in desperate need. I had a list of sizes and needed help trying to find them. Then... Rosie and Hunter came to my rescue. To say they were helpful is an understatement. They made, not only my day,,.. but the family that received the gifts too. I am impressed with the character that Rosie and Hunter exuded. Excellent people! Amvets’s is a great place to shop!!!

Employees keep merchandise that is priced to sell behind the counter and call the items store displays. Odd thing is the items are gone after the employees get paid and are replaced with more items the staff wants.

I always find very nice second hand items a lot of the times items have never even been used! I find nice antiques and collectibles here as well.

The sales girl was a huge help. The employees I encountered were friendly and willing to help. It was refreshing to go into a store and have employees ask if you need hhelp, and the genuinely want to help.

This is a non-profit ran by the government!!! I called and talked to a manager because of an inappropriately dressed, unfriendly cashier. She said that 84% of the money earned goes directly to the government for them to do as they please with the funds to help veterans(we all know how terribly that works). The rest is to pay employees and keep the lights on. I donated a lot here thinking I was helping vets through private means. AMVETS is a very smart name being that people in the south love veterans. If you want to help vets, find another source. This one is just another way for the government to get your money. Makes me want to puke.
